  • Kafana Pavle Korcagin is a place you must visit! It's a little kafana that's decked out in all sorts of memorabilia from Tito, Lenin, Marx, Stalin, Mao, and other socialist leaders from our past. Check out their place at:
    Ćirila i Metodija 2а, Beograd 11000

Hello Charles, this might be a long comment but hope u read it. In advance, sorry if I make some grammar mistakes. I started to watch ur videos like 3 months ago, and I think I watched all of 'em. Man, o man. At some of ur videos I started to cry, not because of sadness or nostalgia, but because of pride. I have never ever seen in my life that someone has represented my country in that way. All the great words, I can't thank u enough. I hope this channel grows up to several millions, so more people can see us through your eyes. Have a lovely weekend, and best luck in life mate! Hope we meet one day and drink "gajba" of ur favourite beer Zajecarsko :)

You know what Charles, I've been watching you for years and I respect your content being a person with a background in the Balkans. I love watching positive content reflecting a place that is beloved to many (including myself) minus the dirty blood thirsty Politics that tore Yugoslavia apart - “the bloodiest war since WWII”, as it’s been called. But I must inform you that Nationalism while it stirs emotions of brother hood and togetherness for one group of people OUTRIGHT says NO to another group of people. I’m sorry that Serbs are currently unhappy with the current state of Kosova as it stands and through additional wars that may very well change, but is land really worth additional bloodshed? It’s rhetoric like this that fuels the feud between Balkan brothers. I know you have your right to an opinion and I respect that. I’m thrilled to see you are thriving in your adoptive country, but honestly, the political overtones in your videos are not a good look for you. I grew up in the US and it’s easier for me to remain separated from the Politics from a distance but I also know what it’s like to travel to a land where these stories are passed from one generation to another in an attempt to poison comradery and that delicate little chance to heal from the past wars, past losses, past traumas.

Tito fought against the Serbian army in ww1 with the Austro-Hungry. There was some kind of masacre that happened during one battle in Serbia town during his command. He was the one that divided all of us in to serbs Croats bozians and so on. The funny this is that he is the one by he I mean communist that allowed all of the Albanians to migrate to Kosovo in 50 not sure what time exactly. So no they took over. So it happens. Jebiga. Who knows if Chetnik got support from the British not the communist in ww2 now Serbia would be like Italy or something

Dear Charles i have to disappoint you. I'm writing this to you so you dont get surprised and I'll tel you why. they say history is a life teacher. You probably heard about great historical battles that Serbia took part in but what you don know that we didnt won any of them and that we previously didnt betray ( ourselves of course) You probably heard of many of great rulers of Serbia, but what you dont know is that we killed each one of them. That son killed father, godfather killed godfather just for throne. We are ready to betray own mother if its necessary for just a little power. We are ready to change God when its necessary to change a name to create a new nation for a fistful of dollars. Many people here claim that we are one of the oldest nation in the world and I start to believe it, I mean who else could kill Jesus but Serbs? Here we are able to turn gold into mud. Just dont get surprised.

When Tito died, Yugoslavia was on crisis. When Yugoslavia split up, war has started. Is that logical to you? They could have split up without any wars but no everyone became nationalist and wanted to kill each other and take land after 50 years of friendship and companionship. And what happened? USA and EU got everything in control in the Balkan region destroying economically everyone. War should have never happened the people didn't want to but the politicians did. Hating each other because of religion and some other things will not help anyone.
