    whistling at women or catcalling, drinking in public, smoking, gambling, living at home, driving costs, and more!

    Tamo daleko, daleko od mora,
    tamo je selo moje, tamo je Srbija
    Tamo daleko, gde cveta limun žut,
    tamo je srpskoj vojsci jedini bio put
    Tamo daleko, gde cveta beli krin
    tamo su živote dali zajedno otac i sin
    Tamo gde tiha putuje Morava
    tamo mi ikona osta i moja krsna slava
    Tamo gde Timok pozdravlja Veljkov Grad
    tamo mi spališe crkvu u kojoj venčah se mlad
    bez otačbine, na Krfu živeh ja
    ali sam ponosno klic'o "Živela Srbija!"
    Song give's me goosbumps

    A packet of cigarettes in Australia costs upward of $20 now. So nobody here can really afford it anymore. Our govt wanted to reduce the number of people dying from smoking related illness. As much as I love Serbia that was one thing that did bother me. Every restaurant had the pervasive smell of stale smoke. It can't be helped because it gets into everything.

    18:20 That is so wrong. Here in Sweden we work and have at least 1 or 2 part time jobs during our student years. People don't understand that having working experience is worth a lot. I packed meat, drove DHL truck, worked at Scania Factory. After the studies (IT) i got a job quite fast not only because of my school but for my working experience. It doesn't matter what you work with its all about showing that you want to work.

    • @abc-eq9so
      @abc-eq9so 5 років тому +1

      yes of course, that is a problem. But one alone can only do so much. I worked as much as I could to get experience. One advantage of that is that I had more money. And the result was easier student life. Only win win. Remember when I was on vacation in the Balkans and I told my relatives that I picked strawberries for summer work, they all laughed at me. But that picking straw berry jobs got me 5000 Euros that summer.

    • @abc-eq9so

      @@abc-eq9so I highly doubt that. Its really common here to work similar jobs, strawbarries, corn, apples etc, but you earn little below 10 euros per day for that, so you will earn 5k euros in 100 summers :D

    • @majamiskovic1
      @majamiskovic1 5 років тому

      @@JanjashDS89 it is possible. I worked in Norway a whole summer (2 months) and earned about 4500 euros. Depends on where you work and how much you are willing to work. Norwegian/Sweden salaries are quite similar.

    • @majamiskovic1

      Remember that this is also about culture. They usually grow up hearing their parents say: "Your school is your job". It is not as normal to have a part time job as a student in the Balkans as it is in Scandinavia.

    Love the video bro. There are quite a lot of differences however one of the biggest things is that you can shoot guns, a flamethrower (yup seen this irl before) and set off smoke bombs whenever you please, however it's frowned upon to drink in public. It's a bit backwards however I'd rather be able to shoot guns and flamethrower than be allowed to drink. I hate alcohol anyways, i don't have a problem with people drinking however, i see what it does to people. I also hate smoking and drugs haha. 🇺🇸 🇷🇸

    I believe not having a job during school here is mostly because we simply have no time... Sure some people are students and have a job but most just cant.. I study at Faculty of Forestry on University of Belgrade and sometimes my classes go from 8am to 7pm, the latest one lasts to 9pm... So working for me is pretty much imposible, plus I travel to my faculty every day from my village and spend 3 hours a day just on a trip...

    Most of young, even older,people live with their parents because of low standard, low sallary that is the diffrence. If sallaries were 200 to 300 dolars think about it, could you live with that kind of money, could you afford to live alone and pay all the bills? And the prices are no diffrent from USA for food, clothes, tech, etc . Actually that is even cheeper in USA, bills and rent is more expensive but you have much bigger sallaries and trust me when I say this, your economy can't compare to ours and you say you are in crisis :)) I love Serbia, I love our country but it's to hard to live here. It's stressfull, when you think month to month how far you can strech out your sallary and pray to god everything is working so you don't have to repair it or to buy something new, even little things or to think is there any war coming soon? I don't think average American think about that almost every day.

    Charles you want to talk about Serbia? Why do you not adress real issues my people face
    Unprecedented numbers are dying from cancer now exactly 20 years after Nato bombings
    Why dont you adress the corruption of our health care system and that all our doctors are leaving this country to work else where doctors are payed less then 500 uro a month in Serbia
    Adress this issues you cannot only speak about the positive and paint a beautiful picture I love my country but my people are dying left and right and no ones talking about it

    Villages in Serbia have for shure somthnig likely like "Majore" , next level where TOWNS wich are Political and Gouvermant institutions centers ...... above this where Regional centers , for a sample east Serbias Center is Pozarevac it is a regional center and under it`s authority are aproximatly 10-12 Municipals under this centers are aproximitly up to 12 Villagys !
    so Charls Serbia is almost a normal European Country ---- with to much Buerokraty !
    have a nice weekend !
