This whole interview hit me….I’ve been going through paranoia..anxiety..depression post traumatic stress…and I always kept thinking something was wrong with me because of it. But I had to realize my purpose of what I was going through. And I’m still learning my purpose..some days is not easy. And I don’t think enough people speak on their mental health..we tend to hold it all in, thinking we have everything under control when we really don’t. And it’s okay to feel like you don’t. We not suppose to have everything together. But that’s when you lean on God for that help.
This is the thing that resonated with me also. I love how Jeezy shared the process of overcoming anxiety, depression, PTSD and trust issues. He did the work with therapy, and we needed to hear this.
Hope to see more of this journalist. Been a long time since I’ve seen somebody connect like that on a run-of-the-mill sit down interview, she did a great job
Listening to his music I thought he was tougher than me. He has trauma, anxiety, depression, etc and he healed. Jeezy as a black man thank you for your honesty.
Rap music is just awful for everyone like this guy you get a thousand people that say nothing but violent awful things that doesn't help Society one bit. Basically rap has been nothing but negativity for so many people and it sets such a bad example.
I have so much respect for you young man. For you to bare your soul like this and tell of your road that you’ve traveled goes beyond bravery. I salute you BlackMan.
Chile I’m only here to figure out what lead him to abandon his family cause breaking commitments is a bad sign…isn’t that typical black man behavior that have long term repercussions
His last album was a great demonstration of this and how far he's grown mentally. To anyone who's unfamiliar with Jeezy or haven't listened in awhile I suggest his new song "Street Cred". It's a very MATURE and introspective gangsta song.
I mean to be fair, you can hear the trauma and mental health in the music of a lot of these rappers even if they don't publicly admit (literally off the record lol) that they have issues.
Mental illness is a hell of an ordeal, Round of applause for this man bruh. 👏🏾 💐..ifykyk💯 May the higher power continue to keep on blessing young Jeezy so that he can continue to keep blessing others with game!💯🙏🏾
Real talk. We don't ever want to talk about our faults and never want to heal from our trauma and carry it into a relationship; our children are the ones who pay for it in the end.
Mental Health Awareness is a must so we can learn how to over come our past pain, fears and allow GOD to do the healing it’s the only way out of darkness. Being AUTHENTIC with yourself is your true identity and keep you free from re-living a life GOD never plan. Thanks JEEZY for sharing 🌎 💪🏾🙏🏾 Your boldness, braveness to share your story is a game changer 💯
His music 🎶 was instrumental in getting me thru dangerous times when people were all trying to get something from me and didn't care if I lived or died.. I knew who to watch out for and why I couldn't trust certain people.. my best friend shot himself on my birthday..my brother and best friend different man was shot and killed by the police 🚔.. now my other friend is missing 💔.. I couldn't help any of them only God could have.. and it's hard to lose everyone you trust
He‘s full of it and so is his book!!! Cause that one question HE SHOULD OF TOLD THE TRUTH!!! That music is DETROYING the communities they claim they want better for!!! Glamorizing selling drugs, killing people, sex, guns, lies and everything else is WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! And until they can tell the truth about that and put a stop to that I will never believe the stuff they preach!!!!!
great interviewer she understands the subject and the interviewee, and the culture, and the questions are relevant and thought-provoking. Sad that he filed for divorce and maybe he is acting out right now I hope he comes to a place of healing. Pray for them.
The negative comments here are just from pinheads that think they’re funny. I’m all in for anyone who is trying to help others by sharing their experiences. No matter his past, he seems like a standup guy today.
How about we talk about things that really matter to American people???? Some Rapper with issues isn't going to fix the economy...or lower gas & grocery prices, or help me by reinstating the pipeline so I can go back to work at a real job that will pay my bills. Some Rapper with issues can't do anything to secure the southern border so I'm not frightened all the time of "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS" breaking into my home and settling in...with no legal way to kick them out. I'm interested in my own welfare.......not whether some rich rapper has an emotional breakdown. GEEZZZZ Sooooo...Sounds like the Secret Service is making Joe's "HOME" more secure...even after he had a wall constructed last year. While the border is "LESS SECURE" meaning every HOME in America is "LESS SECURE" Is he afraid we'll send "ILLEGAL MIGRANTS" to HIS doorstep??? We should...He's the one who called them all to "Surge" our Southern Border. He's the one who keeps the doors open and tears down the wall of security while selling off the remnants of a wall that could have been constructed around "OUR HOME"!!! He's on vacation 24/7 now....mentally and emotionally disconnected with "HIS" COUNTRY AND 'HIS' PEOPLE. He's totally committed to the ways of Russia, China and probably North Korea...There's probably 6 more nations who will come together as the "NEW WORLD ORDER" with China being the "HEAD" of that snake. Joe has totally dropped out of America...he's lost to us, even though he technically has 16 more months...but ohhhh the damage he can do in that time. Although he's so incompetent, he will sit on a beach until his handlers, bosses and masters call for him to make an appearance for political reasons. He's not campaigning; why should he? CNN will do it for him. Joe has completely sold out Americans to the highest bidder...whoever will pay him the most dollars for whatever influence or information he can provide to them. He's letting people into America to buy land for their Communist Driven Corporations and Companies... He's sending as much money as possible overseas...to our enemies, for their military while our military stagnates in their search for those who mis-gender the girly-man or use the wrong pronouns for him/her/it. Joe idles away his time now...he got everything done he needed to do while Congress was in his pocket....now all the money he approved is costing each American their life. Crime is astronomically high while he sits under an umbrella on a beach sipping mai-tais. Joe is permanently "AWAY" even if you see his body wandering around in a daze or running away from anyone who would probe deeper than "What Flavor of Ice Cream today, Joe???? Joe is done...he's signed everything the left progressive wanted him to sign. He's approved the selling of the materials for the wall...we'll have to re-appropriate those funds. He's depleted our oil reserves, he's funded oil pipelines in our enemies countries...he's secured the border for a nation who is paying him millions via his son who worked for them. Joe is done...he's acquired a couple of well protected mansions...he'll have a whole army of protection for the rest of his life... He's had his time in the limelight...achieved his lifelong dream of being president (albeit; not in power, but a puppet slave to masters who totally control him) Joe is done...and he'll spend the next 17 months relaxing in the sun.

With all his money do you think they are suffering? 😂 Give me a break.
@0XxBesTofTheRestxX0 if marriage and a child are all about money, no wonder you like this man.
Who’s here after the divorce news?
Sarah did a great job connecting…listening and allowing the interview process to play out. I love her!❤
