- Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and the fifth video in my mud and quagmire filled journey through Turnip28. In previous videos, I have looked at the different cults that can be taken when building your regiments for Turnip28. Examples of these are the Knights of Shellwood, the Procession of Woe and the Slug's Lament.
In this video we will be taking a look at my latest creation.....a Tall Man for the Uprising of the Louse cult. This build seemed to take on a life of its own from the start of the project and hopefully it will show just what different bits and pieces can be used for your Turnip28 projects. It also shows how different people's interpretations of the various cults that can be taken in games of Turnip28.
In addition to my Tall Man build, there is a preview of my next Turnip28 regiment with a test base that I built recently after receiving a Turnip28 care package from a good friend of mine!

We need to have a turnip 28 battle report at some point! Great job Ste!
Oh hell yes! I'm quite close to completing the last of the units so when they are all done I'll definitely be soloing a few games to see how the game plays 😃
I just love all this so much Ste!
Cheers Stu! It's really rather different to what I'd normally paint but always enjoyable to work on. This was build that I had no idea how it was going to end up looking 😃
Really excellent this execution diorama ! Congrats for your creative skills . Love the skeleton witch . Cheers , Robert .
That's awesome, thanks Robert! It was definitely one of those builds that took on a life of it's own the more I worked on it 😀
Although I’d seen pictures of the gallows on FB etc. it was great to have a detailed run-down of it. I hadn’t seen the ‘witch’ before which is possibly the most scary bit of the whole piece! 😱 Wonderfuly weird 👍😀.
Thank you! That witch piece.....I really have no idea how that came about but it may have started with thinking if one of the skulls would work on the body. And I really think it did! Definitely one of the more weirder pieces 😁
Great inspiration sir 😊
Made myself a mad giljotine ish contraption that cuts people into fine slices😅
Its called Julienne😂
That's awesome, thank you! That sounds infinitely more dangerous than this thing 😅
Once again fantastic
Cheers Wayne! This demonstrates why I enjoy Turnip28 so much in that there is so much scope for creativity and just letting your imagination run wild 😃
Looks brilliant!
Thanks Mike, super happy with how this turned out 😀
Wonderful scenery and great details, top notch work on the figures...👍👍😍😍
Thanks Phil! This has to be one of the strangest things that I've worked on recently but one of the most enjoyable too 😀
That'sAwesome. Really love it. Can always double as just some terrain objective or something.. Really.. wow!
Cheers dude, that's awesome! That's true, it would certainly make a good centre piece for a game of Turnip28 😃
These are just....... bizarre...🤣
They looks great mate but they just baffle me. I cannot wait to see your table at CC tho mate. Keep up the great work tho mate. 🤣👍
Cheers mate! I definitely think that bizarre sums up Turnip28 really pretty accurately! I'm definitely looking forward to running some games of it at Crack Con 😄
Awesome looking "Tall Man" Ste. Really feels like a snapshot of time. The new regt is good, the heads add so well to the look.
Cheers Cal, I really like the freedom that the Turnip28 rules give you when it comes to making the bits and pieces for the cults. I'm really looking forward to making more of the Napoleonic beastmen 😃
Very cool, This will be a fantastic big backdrop for the army
Cheers buddy! I'm really looking forward to having enough painted units to get them on the tabletop, I think it's going to look pretty striking 😃
Wonderful work! The figures and terrain piece look awesome!
Thanks Victor, much appreciated as always! This was definitely one of the stranger pieces I've made for Turnip28 but it was an absolute blast to build and paint 🙂
Awesome work!
Thanks Justin, much appreciated! I wasn't really sure how I was going to approach this but I'm pretty happy with what I ended up with 😃
That is awesome ste
Cheers Justin, much appreciated! It's amazing what you can create when you find an MDF kit that you've never used. It was good using this kit for something different 😀
Great work ste 👍
Cheers buddy, much appreciated 🙂
All looking fantastic Ste 👏
Cheers mate, I was really happy with how this turned out as I really wasn't sure exactly where the whole build was going! It should be interesting to use it on the tabletop 😄
NICE!!!!!!!
Thank you! I think this is an example of how a Turnip28 idea can just take on a life of its own and turn into something that you really didn't expect. Definitely one of my favourite Turnip28 builds 😀
Nice one mate, great video
Cheers buddy, much appreciated! These videos are always enjoyable to make as Turnip28 is such an interesting game to build and paint for 😃
You really have gone turnip crazy
It has most definitely taken over the painting desk a lot more than other projects recently, this is true 😃
The front half of the platform feels weirdly clean, but I really liked how the dirt on the steps shows the path the executionners took
Yeah, I was tempted to use a bit more mud on the platform but with the actual amount on the base I was a bit worried it would be too much. So I just opted to put it where people had been walking 🙂
@@OnPointHQ perhaps some dried blood on the front where heads have rolled!
Superb weird shit!👍👍
Cheers Fraser! Weird shit really is a phrase that won't be going away any time soon 😄
Nice diorama Ste. I think the blood is too straight. It should be everywhere.😁
Cheers Lucian! I was actually debating whether or not to actually include the blood or not but eventually opted for a small amount 😁
Brilliant job Ste, but weird. 🤣
Thank you! I think weird is definitely an apt description for some of the things I've made recently 😁
Great modelling Ste. I can appreciate and value all the effort you put in to these models, but its not part of the hobby for me. Your joy in these creations comes over in your presentations.
Thanks Leslie and I can certainly understand that. I don't think Turnip28 is going to appeal to everyone but it has certainly has grabbed my imagination 😀
Half way through the video you say ‘this is where things got out of control’ so the whole thing was in control up to that point right??? Amazing and slightly worrying Ste
Yup! I think the addition of the skull witch thing was definitely where things got a bit strange....although the start of it was barely tethered to control as it was 😅
Ste love this. I've got an idea for that gallows what is the dimensions of it please
Cheers Paul! The platform on its own is 9cm x 9cm but with the steps it becomes 15cm x 9cm. Hope that helps! 😃
Thanks a lot Ste was thinking of using this as base for a viewing platform for nobility at a joust diorama that’s kicking around in my head
Gruesome! lol.
I normally try and stay clear from the gory or gruesome when it comes to my miniatures.....but I think it works here 🙂
