Garage Door Makeover DIY: How to add weather stripping to the top and sides, replacing the bottom door seal and how to paint your garage door.
In this video I give my sad, old, outdated metal garage door a makeover before winter. I add weatherstripping, replace the garage door bottom seal and paint the door, a modern cracked pepper colour (Behr 2024 colour of the year) giving it some much needed curb appeal. Snow and blowing rain accumulate inside my garage. I live in a pretty harsh climate so this update was long overdue.
I purchased my Rubber bottom seal from Amazon. It's of decent quality, certainly not the best, but good affordable option in my humble opinion. The top and side weatherstripping I purchased from Lowes but a similar version is linked below on Amazon.
