    120 grammi is not tipycal naples' street food and of course is not famous by locals
    You should try more and more like frittatina di pasta, cuoppo, panino napoletano,wallet pizza etc..
    I am a tour guide in naples

    I spent three months in Napoli in summer 1982. Thank goodness you didn't visit any of the Tripperia stands. Those things made me wanna puke. Full of intestines, musso, tripe, and pig feet. Sickening. LOL!

    Also the filling for both sfogliata is made of a mix of cooked semolina, cooled down then they add ricotta, sugar, cinnamon and some of them they also add orange candy, so i reckon the apply taste is due to the cinnamon.. but no apple whatsoever! :)

    How is this video top in UA-cam for Naples food? It's two Brits wandering around the getting getting Naples' equivalent to Gregg's and Bella Italia. Please, Please please, don't judge Napoli food on this!

    I really enjoy your videos! We travel a ton ourselves and I'm always looking for new channels. Eating all the vegetarian stuff is a huge plus and you two seem very nice! It's unfortunate you couldn't make your way up the steps. I went yesterday and it felt safe, lots of tourists and people around, and the view was amazing

      Messy? It is just the alleys. And when they ate their pasta were just in the centre of the city, side by side with the Central University. Don'r judge a city from the plaster of the buildings 300 years old and from the Graffiti

    Sfogliatella is pronounced Sfo-ya-te-la . Riccia is pronounced Ri-cha.

      @@Cocash1 Istanbul was a Roman city until 1453, then it was conquered by the Ottoman, its architecture and attitude is a full European city, also the people and attitudes very close to greece are just the same

    Allò, frist of all in "sfogliatella" the ins't any apple at all, there isn't even anything that recembles apple. Second, neapolitan people don't drink coffe in the streets, nether from paper cups. We usually drink coffee in bar and we spend a lot of time there. Third, 120grammi isn't popular in Napoli, we don't eat spaghetti in that way. Fourth, in "crocchè" there is no basil, there is parsley. At last, you missed a lot of much more traditional things like: "pizza a portafoglio", "pizza fritta", "frittatina di pasta", "zeppole fritte", "babbà", "pastiera" (if you get the right season), etc.

      Hi William. Apologies for not getting everything right in the video. Unfortunately we didn't have much time in Napoli, and didn't get to explore as many places as we would have liked. Thanks for the information though, and we will bear that in mind if we visit Napoli again 👍

      Hi Bearded Traveller! We have only passed through Florence really so unfortunately we couldn't compare. Naples was just amazing for food though, at every turn there was something that looked delicious. We recently did a Rome food tour and if we really had to pick, we would say Naples is more of a foodie place, both utterly delicious though :)
