This is a very nice list of 25 album records, thanks. Of course, I could change a minimum of 10 of them, but still a very nice list of 25 album records. It's also nice to see younger people interested in vinyl records.👍🙂
If we're only talking vinyl LPs that I have this is the list. TOP 5 ST "Romeo & Juliet" (1968) , ST "Oliver Twist" (1968) , ST "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) , "Mickey Mouse Disco" (1979) , and "Cats" (1983) . I have JOHNNY CASH "Live At Folsom" (1968) 📀and "Tommy" (1975) on CD 📀HONORABLE MENTION on vinyl. "Men of the Mall" (1959) , JUDY COLLINS "Recollections" (1972) , MONKEES "Best of" (1976) , RITA COOLIDGE "Love Me Again" (1978) , and ST "Arthur" (1981) .
Great list. I would substitute the following, all perfect albums: - The Doors: The Doors - The Moody Blues: In Search of the Lost Cord - Fleetwood Mac: Then Play On - Peter Gabriel: So
You have a great sense of must have iconic albums (particularly for somone your age) and there's really no disputing your top ten. For the most part they are fairly obvious to someone with your degree of knowledge and rock/pop music history. Even though I have few albums now (gave away 500 when cd's came) I have most in your top ten.
Disraeli Gears is absolutely perfect! Such a great psychedelic album! Gotta love ELO. Sticky Fingers is a masterpiece, my favourite Stones album is Beggars Banquet but Sticky Fingers is phenomenal! I’m a big Johnny Cash fan as well! Great stuff! A Night at the Opera is another masterpiece! One of the greatest albums ever! And of course Led Zeppelin IV is fantastic. Zeppelin 1 is my favourite of their albums but 4 is fantastic! I’m not crazy about Hotel California. It’s good but I don’t think it’s great for me. Of course Rumours is one of the greats as well! The chain is a masterpiece you are right! Dark Side deserves its spot for sure! I think Sgt. Pepper’s would be a better choice but of course any Beatles album could have made it. Great list 👍
This old baby boomer enjoyed your video. Nice job with some excellent choices. As for a contemporary pick, give Greta Van Fleet’s “The Battle At Garden’s Gate” a listen sometime. It is the most cinematic and epoch an album as I’ve heard in decades. Keep up the good work.
He ain't forcing them on you. It's just a list from recommendations by hifi folk in general. He is too young to really know them in depth, this list us identical to what magazines & websites put out.
Despite my having thousands of records/CDs in my collection, I only have 11 of these. I would have these on my Top 25: The Moody Blues' DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED, Beach Boys' PET SOUNDS, Moby Grape's MOBY GRAPE, Elvis Presley's FROM ELVIS IN MEMPHIS, and a few others.
If you asked me to guess a list it would virtually be the same..all typical choices and quite dated with little or no respect for some modern classics..On the other hand this is personal choice...I have an all time list of standout albums but I also have a more widespread set of favourites.... All time...for me would include..Van Halen l.. Montrose l... Queen ll and Sheer Heart Attack ..Billion Dollar Babies by Alice...Led Zeppelin ll.. Rainbow Rising...3 Doors Down.. Highway to Hell..Alter Bridge,Fortress .Creed, Human Clay... Goodbye YB Road ,Elton...Kings of Leon , Only by the night....Lou Reid Transformer...The Killers, Sam's Town....Shinedown,Sound of Madness....Suede, Dog Man Star...Supertramp, Crime of the Century....T Rex,Electric Warrior....Thin Lizzy, Live and Dangerous.....U2 Joshua Tree...Strangers in the Night,UFO....Winery Dogs ,Hot Streak...etc...
That's a weird question. Isn't it obvious, that it means something along the lines of: everybody in the vinyl community, with a love for rock? But that would be a crappy title for a video
@@just4therecord374 I buy records because I like them...not because someone else likes them. A better title would be "Records I Recommend". To each his own...
@David Oswell - Yes I know, right? I mean how dare those of us who like music not own every single one of these releases? After all, who in their right fuckin’ mind would not purposely want to spend their hard earned money on vinyl that would just sit around & gather dust? Rather than spend those same monies on LP’s from artists/bands they would/do truly enjoy listening to instead.
Look I have seen these done by many music or hifi magazines or sites, It just seems strange to me a very young man quoting what older men have grown up with. I just get a sense of you going through the motions without feeling it like they did. It's literally the same list from What HiFi magazine. But good luck.
The 25 album you should own are 25 albums YOU like.
Dont let someone else tell you what YOU should own.
No album is "essential"

You have great taste in music, my new friend!!
Thank you very much!
Always subjective, this is one of the best “must-have” videos I’ve seen. Great list. I would only suggest Electric Ladyland over Are You Experienced.

Great list! I'm just missing two of these.
Great selection of albums.

My Lord you are a sensitive snowflake, it is an opinion based video. Dont like his selections? Dont buy them. Simple.
But The 🤴 isn’t searching for an entry into hip-hop 😆
What do you do with the records you no longer want?

Pass
My bruce record is born in the USA
You could leave all Springsteen records off any must have list…totally overrated "artist". Although I have all the one's you listed, lol!
Me save
Why would i own 25 records that i would never listen to ?
Why are you replying you dozy Aussie ? 😂
@@HDIrwin Why are you.?
