Thank you doing this! This movie is my comfort movie and takes me back to a nostalgic level like nothing else. The soundtrack, the characters, and the Tim Curry song! It's a must watch in October for me every year!
Faruza Balk was the worst witch in this movie. She went on to become a horrible witch in the movie "the craft". Faruza Balk really was a practicing witch, at the time she filmed the craft movie. She was able to help with making some of the "crafting" scenes to be more authentic in the movie. I love Faruza Balk. Thanks for putting this together I love it ❤️
She was my crush in this movie as a kid, but not in The Craft. That had to go to Neve Campbell, who's best known for Scream! Even now at 37 years old, it's still gotta be Neve in both The Craft AND Scream! Maybe she's put a spell on me? 😋😂👻
@@ct6852 Both 1996, The Craft released in May and Scream released December. The scene in The Craft where Neve walks in after having her burn scars removed. Damn! Gorgeous!! 💖👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
This movie introduced me to Tim Curry when I was 6 years old. I've been watching his movies ever since. This is still one of my favorite Halloween movies at 43 years old. Thank you for sharing this video.
Great video! I also come back to the movie every Halloween, and I realized as an adult just how well written it is. Like the scene in the potions classroom, the reason that they turned invisible is because Mildred was so upset that she couldn’t remember how to make the laughter potion, all she wanted to do was disappear. That was her true feelings so that’s how her potion turned out! Poor Maude, along for the ride haha. And when she tried to turn Ethel into a toad, subconsciously she really thought that Ethel was acting like a pig, so that’s what happened! It’s when she is battling the bad witches in the woods that her intention and her words finally match and she’s able to control her magic for the first time. It’s so empowering for her! You realize she wasn’t the worst witch, she was actually a very powerful witch that needed the confidence she wasn’t getting through traditional methods in the classroom. Anyway, it’s wonderful to see the school as it is today. Thanks for a great tour!
I've fallen behind on my watchings.....I absolutely LOVE that y'all did this video. Im almost 50 and I still love, and watch The Worst Witch every October!
Flying lessons, people being turned into pigs, invisibility spells, house games, all taking place in an old stone school for witchcraft and wizardry. Puts me in mind of those films about that boy... I can't remember his name, it was quite popular.. Barry something I think? 😉🤔👍 Great tour Grimms. 🦇
‘Growing up isn’t easy, scared of every move you make!’🥰Me and my sister absolutely love this film! Growing up in the 80’s was the best! So happy you guys filmed here!🎃
Absolutely loved this. They used to show us this movie on Friday afternoons in school. There was the Worst Witch and Pippy Longstocking and a few other movies. Great memories.

I remember when this movie came out. I was 8yrs old with my suitcase packed and I insisted that my parents take me to the airport to go to this school. Jessica you look like you would be one of the coolest teachers there right now!🖤
Witchy Fact..The author Jill Murphy who wrote to popular Worst Witch series starting in 1974 did see some shared elements in her books and the Harry Potter series over twenty years later. Indeed J K Rowling was just 9yrs old when the first Worse Witch Book came on in the UK and it was extremely popular selling out in just several months though both had themes from earlier published works like Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe too. One could argue that the Wizard of Oz stories came even before that having its heroine-hero transported to an unseen world before making it to the big screen. If Gilderoy Lockhart played by Kenneth Branaugh in Harry Potter wasn't inspire by Tim Curry's colorful wizard from the Worst Witch you can bet your spell book on it...🎃
I always thought J.K. Rowling ripped off "The Worst Witch" but I guess there's not much can be done about it. I like them both but the W.W. will always be first in my heart.
