Excellent review! Thank you. I have the Blackstar deluxe package that includes the travel guitar (in off-white), the Fly 3 amp Bluetooth, soft gig bag, cable, picks, a little hex key, guitar strap, and truss rod wrench. Purchased the Blackstar power supply separately. It's a great package and quality gear. Highly recommend.
It's a 6 volt power supply. I got one on e-bay for 10 bucks. Works fine. If you buy the stereo pack with 2x3 watt speakers you get a power supply with it for an extra 25 or 30 bucks which works out cheaper in the long run. Great little amp!
Just bought the combo unit with AC power supply and an extra speaker from Musicians Friend in the USA. A few pittance more and the date is 2018. You made a fantastic illustrative demo of the controls, sounding outrageous thru a Bluetooth speaker from my iPad. Can’t wait until mine arrives. Speaker technology is so incredible now, so much that I shudder when I hear music coming from a bare smartphone speaker. It’s a new world if you can take it.
Great review! I have a review and some demos up too of the stereo pack with the adapter, might be worth getting still even though you have the bluetooth version. You can keep the stereo rig setup somewhere at home, and then take the bluetooth one and adapter on the road!
So I’m not sure if they didn’t have the power supply option or the Ext. cabinet. They do now and they have a Vintage version in white that is really nice 👍 I also bought the Acoustic version as well. Man they aren’t going to be a Vintage tube amp sound of course but, they are awesome for what they are. Thanks for the posting.
I have the non BT version, I thought before that I hoped they would have the bluetooth to remove the line in cable if im playing with a backing track, and now this came up, Great!
Thank you for the great review. I definitely will order one so I can play in my truck during my down time with my traveller guitar. I would like to ask what is a decent affordable wireless guitar transmitter/receiver like you use in the video? Thanks again
nice review! :D question: what if i play along with a backing track on a cranked up gain on the clean setting (or using the OD setting), will the sound be all distorted?
Nice vid and nice playing man! I was wondering, is the blackstar fly 3 loud enough to play for example outdoor (next to flowing river) with an acoustic guitar? I would use it to jam outside with my acoustic guitar and loop myself so that i can jam with myself outdoors, at a campfire for example.. would it be suitable for such a situation and produce decent volume in decent quality? And is the only difference between the bluetooth and the non bluetooth version really only the bluetooth?
DanTheMan 92 as far as I can tell, the Bluetooth function is the only difference. As for your other question, I wouldn’t ask too much from this tiny amp. You could probably crank it if you get the dual cab option
Hi lodi, can i use this as an audio interface? Guitar>Amp>Laptop(Guitar Rig for effects) and then record and play music at the same time? Would that be possible? Thanks 😊
Can I use the Delay effect to alter sound from my bluetooth/line in device? I want to use it as a music player that can add delay to my favorite songs, if possible. Thanks!
Great review considering one, can i use this in youtube? Like recording directly, i plan on making a new channel,,, thanks fan m ako since rivermaya days
Bill Ward Bluetooth is a wireless connection used for speakers, phones, laptops, etc. Do a search. In this video my guitar is plugged into the Blackstar input socket while my laptop is connected wirelessly via Bluetooth
i just got one ,not blue tooth but I'm thinking of adding the extra speaker and mountain them on my audio desk , just for simple example noodling when writing recording on the fly,,cheers!
Perfecto, I'm brand new to your videos. I'll watch all of them. Can't wait to hear you and Arnel's music. Bet it's very soulful and beautiful. When I get some extra money I'm going to buy a Fly and a Chapman guitar.
@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro I'm sorry, no link. But you can easily find the right connector in an electronics spare parts shop for 50 cents. Actually that was what I did myself.

Hi, what device is plugged into the amp's input? is a wireless receiver for the guitar?
Ali S. Yup, XVive U2 wireless
Wow I cant believe you replied! hahah! Awesome... thanks for the reply. Looking it up now. Love your videos too!
Will this sound good with an acoustic equipped with a transducer?

For around $60 bucks it's hard to beat.
Can you use it with Headphones?
Yes, there’s an 1/8” headphone jack

Best review of this amp by so far
Hi sir Perf! Kung acoustic guitar ba ang isasaksak dito, makukuha ko parin ang pagka-rock sound ng electric guitar pag naka OD?
Pwede pero baka mag-feedback pag mataas ang gain
Ok na master isee the price 89$ dollars thanks
Thank you for a very comprehensive and informative review. 9:19
Fantastic review. Definitely earned a subscribe!
Perfect! All I needed to know. Verdict: I will not buy it because I need usb charging.

I would like to ask what is a decent affordable wireless guitar transmitter/receiver like you use in the video?
Thanks again
The Mooer AP10 is cheaper than the Xvive and slimmer form factor
Great video what bluetooth receiver do you need to get for this?
The amp itself is the receiver. You send audio from your phone/computer via Bluetooth
thanks for the answer
The best review, many thanks, keep up the great work :)
Can you use the bluetooth, and line features, to apply effects from pedal apps via a pc, tablet, or phone?
While the guitar is plugged into the Fly3? No.
nice review! :D question: what if i play along with a backing track on a cranked up gain on the clean setting (or using the OD setting), will the sound be all distorted?
The gain knob does not affect the quality of the bluetooth/line in audio
thanks!
Good review, I like the Bluetooth.... less cords if rehearsing by myself
Good luck on your tour Sir. Sana ma panuod kita ulit dito sa pinas..

Ok, did you ever happen to play a roland micro cube or roland katana? If so, would they do a better job?
DanTheMan 92 Micro Cube is a little bigger and will probly work better for what you plan to do. Haven’t tried the Katana yet though
Ola approves this one...
will it chug ??
It’ll sound a lot better with the power cable.
mine buzzes with the power cable, the one being powered by battery in store didn't have buzz with distortion
@@kazhari are you sure your circuits are grounded? Guitar amps buzz always buzz on ungrounded amps.
Hmmm..... Are you sure about that?

Nice cute one. maybe bluetooth guitar fx is on development.
Sir perf! Pwede po ba yan I plugged sa sound card for recording purposes? San po sya pwede I connect. Thank you po sir!

@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro great thanks :)
Excellent and helpful review ...thanks
Great review. What have you got plugged into your input?
It's an XVive US wireless receiver. Thanks for watching!
Can u record by blue tooth, to a android phone from the amp?
No, it’s not an interface
I have the non BT version with the extra cabinet and sound pretty decent for their size; hey perf what is that wireless module you're using?
It's an XVive U2 guitar wireless
@@OfficialPerfectoDeCastro Trouble is that's an extra 200 bucks.

No, but you can use it as a bluetooth speaker
Dont you prefer Katana Mini?
Cheers from Portugal 🍺🤘
I got this before the Katana Mini came out. Looking back I would’ve preferred that
Hofner shorty electric guitar plus blackstar fly amp. Perpekto!
I have Steiberger Spirit red and fly 3 red - this is perfect :)
hi po sir perf. yung supported ba yung pedal effects?
ua-cam.com/video/2g0GHX-Z1Lk/v-deo.html
6 AA batteries gives 9v so any switch mode 9v psu will power this
TheAngello120 the plug shape is not standard so they really force you to buy their power supply
Ano po gamit mo na transmitter sir perf? 😅
XVive U2
Can I use the Delay effect to alter sound from my bluetooth/line in device? I want to use it as a music player that can add delay to my favorite songs, if possible.
Thanks!
So can i plug in an Aux cable to my phone and play some music? It can be used as a speaker as well?
and another side note, is this loud enough to play over an acoustic drum kit played at normal level.
Yes on used as a speaker either via aux Or Bluetooth. No on playing with drums
Can you just play music on it?
Yep! Can work as a standalone bluetooth speaker
Amazon has the AC adapter.
Decided To stick with rechargeable AA’s, This way I can is it anywhere within the house
katana mini or this.
after watching this, ito na yun.
nice
Excuse me, What is the bluetooth used for??
Great video. How's the headphone port sound quality? Is it any good?...
Just tried the headphone port, sounds pretty good!
Perfecto De Castro
Hey dude can you use this with wireless Bluetooth headphones?
Great video by the way!
Fionn Cotter Bluetooth headphones always have 0,1 or 0,2 seconds latency. It makes it impossible to play any instrument !
☝
Does it need Batteries?
Watch the video until the end
Yes they use Batteries Or you can get a special power supply...avail on Amazon for arnd $20.00
The flys great 👍
Great review considering one, can i use this in youtube? Like recording directly, i plan on making a new channel,,, thanks fan m ako since rivermaya days
Louie Lansang it has a cab emulated headphone out that you can plug into your interface
Have you tested it on effects or multi effects? I wanted to use this on my zoom multistomp for bedroom playing only
ua-cam.com/video/2g0GHX-Z1Lk/v-deo.html
so van you connect bt headphones to this amp?
No, think of it as a bluetooth speaker. You can connect your phone/tablet to it will playback your music/backing tracks through it
You cannot play any instrument through bluetooth headphones, because of the 0,1 to 0,2 seconds latency.
cool
nice video sir Perf!!!. can you also make a video using pedals on blackstar fly 3?
Thanks! Try ko din but on tour kasi nakatago ang pedalboard ko kaya plug and play lang ako dito

Im not much into sound... 😂 Is it good for just listening to music?
GrimCZ yes, works great just as a bluetooth speaker
Thank you! :-)
Thx Bro!
You told us what the Bluetooth connects to, but you didn't tell us what it does!
Why would connect your laptop to the guitar input socket? 🤔
Bill Ward Bluetooth is a wireless connection used for speakers, phones, laptops, etc. Do a search. In this video my guitar is plugged into the Blackstar input socket while my laptop is connected wirelessly via Bluetooth
You can use your phone to play backing tracks via the Bluetooth connection.
Do u need to keep the sticker on?
Hahaha it's still there! Never got around to taking it off
love the amp
