3-6 and lil wyte got me through some shit as a young adult. I used to ride around with my 2 12"s in my busted ass car, bumping their shit with my boy. Now I'm sitting here as a researcher, remembering how things could've went south quick. Because of their music, I got into amplifiers and subwoofer box building. While in college, I chose to go with electrical engineering so I could learn about amp design. I didn't make it the first round, went through some things, but eventually came back and finished school for both my bachelors and masters in ECE. Ya'lls music got me inspired to learn about sound waves, which led to electrical engineering, which led to signal processing, which led to AI research. Now it's my career.
Dammit man, that’s a wild turn of event, albeit impressive but still wild. However, as wild and crazy as it may be, I am happy to hear that you are thriving!!! Congratulations, as you did something that a whole lot of folks would have simply never attempted, in the first place, and a good bit of those who did attempt it likely quit after a little while and the ones that did do it were likely pretty intelligent and motivated from the start. And I am NOT saying that you aren’t motivated, because clearly you are… you started school for your specialized trade, ended up quitting, for whatever reason, then you ended up going back and seeing it through to the end and then even went back again to further your education with a masters!!! 99% of people don’t do that. So again, congratulations to you on a job well done. I hope you do everything you’ve ever dreamed of doing and wanted to do in your career and in life!!! The odds are no longer stacked against you!!!
Lil Wyte will always be a Memphis legend. I have massive respect for him still being humble after all this time and being thankful for every blessing he got.

This is by far the best interview I've ever seen. I love the fact they let him talk about whatever he wanted to share. I'm ctfu at his socks collection 🤣🤣🤣. Most interviewers cut you off because of course they know you but they don't really know you. They didn't cut him off not one single time. I still listen to anything Lil Wyte put out
You’re absolutely right about this interview versus your standard, everyday, run-of-the-mill, mainstream interviews. Most every interview I’ve ever seen and/or heard, the one telling the story or the one that’s being interviewed is just constantly being cut off during the time they’re telling a story and even sometimes it’s mid-sentence when they’re stopped and oftentimes taken a totally different direction!!! And my guess, or what I believe, as to what is the main reason that the interviewer oftentimes cuts off the interviewee is just simply because, and again I’m only GUESSING, but I, honestly, think that it’s due to the fact that the person that was invited to the interview, the interviewee, is telling a story or the story and/or saying what they want to talk about, but the interviewer has other ideas and/or plans and really wants to ask the tough questions or maybe wants to ask about or get into something that maybe the interviewee really just does NOT want to, like to, and/or will not talk about and/or has absolutely no intentions of discussing, for whatever reason, maybe it’s too personal, too painful, doesn’t want the masses to know about it among a million other reasons someone may not want to talk about a particular subject, especially when it’s going to be broadcast to the masses. Again, I have no clue as to whether or not I am anywhere in the ballpark and/or even anywhere remotely close to my assumptions being the actual/real reason that the person who is hosting the interview is constantly cutting the invited guest off, interrupting them and/or blatantly attempting to go a different route or to something other than what’s being discussed at that particular moment, but just from what I have seen and heard in the past, I suppose it’s about as good of a guess as any!?!?!?
This might be my favorite interview yet. I was probably a junior in high school back when the song oxy cotton came out. It's hard to believe it's been almost 20 years. But man I never had a clue to who lil wyte was as a person. This made me look at him in a whole new light. That's awesome.
The best part of these interviews is when they tell you the names of the people, publishers, distributors, producers they do business with… THATS GAME YALL 💯
Gotta know who you do business with. Unlike these Disney artists who think the label cares until they wake up 5 years later and I have to see it in my notifications for 6th months not giving a fuck who Taylor swift is.
Hands down this is the best Lil Wyte interview ever. Big Props to you Chad. I love how you went through Wytes entire catalog and more. Next time you interviewe Wyte, can you ask him about the scrapped "Third Times A Charm" album? It was said that Wyte had recorded a song wit Redman for that album and have always been wondering if that true and if he has that song. Although his third album eventually became "The One & Only", the "Third Times A Charm" album was recorded and supposed to be released in 2006 and that's when Wyte had mentioned in an interview about the song wit Redman and quite a few other songs for the album.... But anyways, Salute to you Chad, keep up the great work and ima def keep checking out your page. Would love if there is anyway I could submit a few questions for when the next time you interview Wyte.

I'm going to tell you right now I'm from Nebraska and I've been banging Lil Wyte and Three 6 Mafia since 1999 I'm 32 years old I love them they were the best influence of rap and hip-hop I have ever heard next to the West Coast Classics you know what I'm saying I really appreciate you sitting down with him and doing a real face-to-face interview so I can see The Man Behind the album cover such a humble dude and you ask such good questions all y'all got great attitudes stay up keep making music
When I started listening to him in 2002 I was 12 tests old. I still play his music. Him and three 6 were my childhood. Also OxyContin screwed my life up bad , got out of the Marines and started shouting heroin when they quit making OCs The venue in Atlanta he was talking about is called The Masquerade. Had a heaven, purgatory, and hell stage
This was awesome to watch. Growing up I pirated a ton of music because I was broke. I came out the other end if covid making good money and I want to give back to the artists I stole from decades ago. So guess who's ordering some vinyl tonight! It's so good to see Lil Wyte is still killing it!
I got the nickname Big wytee because of lil wyte and 3-6 mafia… I was 1 of very few white kids at Martin Luther king jr middle school in Denver. I was always bumpin 3-6 and when lil wyte came around he was my favorite for a long while. It’s dope to hear his story past and present! Thank you both for the interview!
I remember bumping lil wyte in my sisters Ford Taurus she had 2 12s they sounded so damn good bro got me through some of the most depressing times of my tennage years I can never thank Lil wyte or Theee 6 Mafia enough for that.
I got to meet Wyte and DJ Paul at The Red Door down in Destin/Ft. Walton, Fla back in 2010. Both were cool, but it was truly a pleasure to meet Wyte. He was very humble and gracious to this fan and even bought me a drink when the waitress came around.

THIS!!! is why I love the south!!! This is a great interview! Georgia Boy, Shout out to Lil Wyte and TENNESSEE!!!
When I started listening to him in 2002 I was 12 tests old. I still play his music. Him and three 6 were my childhood. Also OxyContin screwed my life up bad , got out of the Marines and started shouting heroin when they quit making OCs
The venue in Atlanta he was talking about is called The Masquerade. Had a heaven, purgatory, and hell stage
Maaaaaan, that Lil Wyte dude or whatever his name is, is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 with them lyrics. Damn this dude be snappin.
I remember downloading his while discography in 06. I still got lil wyte in rotation.
This was awesome to watch. Growing up I pirated a ton of music because I was broke. I came out the other end if covid making good money and I want to give back to the artists I stole from decades ago. So guess who's ordering some vinyl tonight! It's so good to see Lil Wyte is still killing it!
Yo the hood love lil wyte, down south legend. Not to mention his love and respect for the culture, glad my guy is clean 💪🏾. Big love from Boston!
Great interview man
This was a damn good interview so far! I used to listen to Lil Wyte back in the day. We bout to crash the club! Throw some chairs!!! 🤘😁🤘
When I take a break from reaming Derkies ass with comments I come to watch shit like this too

Amazing story. It's crazy how synchronized life can be if you're aware of it. Respect.
I got to meet Wyte and DJ Paul at The Red Door down in Destin/Ft. Walton, Fla back in 2010.
Both were cool, but it was truly a pleasure to meet Wyte. He was very humble and gracious to this fan and even bought me a drink when the waitress came around.
This is the chillest interview ever.
I'm from Clayton county GA. Every party I went to had lil Wyte playn in the early 2000s
Watched this twice now, this needs more views, way toooo slept on

I’m sure Wyte isn’t going to see this but man as a 901 representative man just want to you really motivated at times throughout my life lol I was a u.s. motherfucking solider boi playing around with them army toys lol I was popping bars to first album smoking out the smoking song then my personal favorite of your albums Phinally Phamous idk why maybe bc every song on that album still slaps as hard as the day it dropped or maybe it was the last time I was happy idk but much Memphis love thanks for always keeping that M in the aair!
Man...Lil Wyte finally doing a long interview. Been rocking with his music since 04, hands down his music is played in this home more than anyother person or group. You were played on the loud speaker when I was in the military every fuckin day in 07 and 09.....now tour please, preferably more than just two shows in random spots. Post that shit!! Honestly, If someone knows where to get tickets or the best place to look for them, please let me know. Thanks!!!!
“Feels like everyone in this conversation is dead”. That’s a strange feeling to have when it sinks in
Great interview.

Lmao buttermilk biscuits oh man that brings back childhood memories
I had no idea his life has been this crazy. It's amazing this man is alive and not behind bars. Mad respect!🙏
I literally had to stop the interview and play each song they spoke on. Shit was lit great job on this interview man
It erks me to no end that wyte didn't blow up amd sell millions and millions of albums the dude has serious talent and deserves mad respect in the industry. Him and T rock are dope as fuck.
I agree I wish someone would give him another chance at least feature on a song mainstream so this generation can hear him.

Lil Whyte is the realest dude.
This is a great great interview
Dope interview!
Fye interview 🔥
I've only ever listened to a couple of dudes songs because I had a celly that had some of his shit on a mixtape. I started watching because of name recognition, and it's taken me about 2 1/2 hours to get through the first hour because I stopped a couple times to listen to a song or 2 and got stuck listening to the entire Doubt me now record. That record could drop today and be hot af.
You can add this guy to the list of rappers I became a fan of after seeing their interviews.
I graduated in 02 and i used to blow my subs out to lil wyte. Great interview. I know what I'm bumpin today on the way home from work!!
The legend the greatest rapper of all time Memphis 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥he deserves more props and recognition
