    Thanks for sticking the camera on the outside of the Quadtrac to show how narrow it is while driving across the bridges. As you said Reese, you need a "couple of guts" to do it.

    Seen a couple years back in Illinois where someone was tiling their field and they got stuck. They brought in a second tractor to get it unstuck. Well the plow was hung up on a pipe line. They ruptured the pipe line killing them both and injured 2 other people.
    Always have locates done on your fields even if you think you know what's under them. It's free to call 811.
    Never use a chain for towing or any form of recovery unless the chain is rated to do so.

    Tiling is so strange to me being from Texas high plains with only ~16” average rain and a caliche base about 1-3’ below topsoil. Drain that water to us!

    Always something to do. Tiling isn't cheap, but has a continuing return on your investment. Getting some primary fall tillage done will speed things along for next spring. We've done primarily random drainage. Have encountered failed clay tile of various sizes and designs. A lot of work years ago...much of it was likely dug in by hand. One grandfather had a steam-powered tile rig, that would have been nifty to see.

    Nice to see tillage work as most fields in our area are zero tillage thus weeds are only killed by spraying multiple times per year. Your fields definitely look nicer with an awesome seed bed

    Sorry I’m new to this
    Why do you call this flexible pipe “tiling” I assume it’s for irrigation.
    Every time I watch your videos I’m impressed with how much equipment you own and operate and then you drag out something diffrent😂

    • @paulprigge1209
      @paulprigge1209 8 місяців тому +3

      I’m speaking out of turn but this is not for irrigation this is to drain the water off the ground. Much of this pipe is perforated allowing the water to come in keeping the soil out and draining the water off the fields unless this case they are tiling to a location. Hopefully this makes sense.
      Anybody feel free to correct me. Not above being wrong I have not watched The entire video yet

    • @blainefox3314
      @blainefox3314 8 місяців тому +1

      The gentleman above is correct, this "tile" is for drainage and has no pressure applied to it!!! It is called "tile" because the original, back in the day, was made of actual kiln fired solid tile pipe!!!
