I love hearing about guys getting money. EPMD was a big deal in the late 80s and early 90s. I don't know Erick's story per se but a lot of dudes didn't come from much. And some of them came up and then crashed and burned. It just feels really good to know that some of these guys are doing great today. Good for you, Erick.

With the technology we have today it's very easy to steal basslines and chords from other songs. There are also so many music theory plugins to use. The technology is there to let people with less technical skill make good music but somehow it's just not happening. They smoking too much weed and being lazy .

Interviewers for whatever reason like things to be clarified all the time. So they basically answer the same questions over and over. This is why some artists start to have fun nad make up fake stories or lie about it.

He only owns 4% and claims he made $720K then 40% is $7.2M, 80% is $14.4M and another 20% is $3.6M total is $18M. What song in 2023 made that made $18M? Not even Michael jackson made that kind of money on one song in one Year. And we were selling records back then nit streaming. This is only streaming money. 1 stream = $.003. Drake, Ariana Grande, Bieber, Bae or the Weeknd dont even stream these kind of numbers in one year. Maybe over a few years time but still. It wouldnt add to $18M on one song… even if it was in commercials…
