Pretty sure he changed from kick to punch mode, held the attack button so could bob&weave under the attack, and immediately started charging dragon punch, dragon punch doesnt get i frames like that. if you watch closely you can see Dante scoot the the left a little bit when he does the balrog-punch-mode-dodge

At 3:37 I like how Koudai copies Urizen by charging Dante’s SDT because it almost has the same animation.
