    I use them all year long. It’s a confidence bait, along with a paddle tail. Great video captain.

    I use Ned rigs alot for largemouth bass fishing, It really makes a lot of sense it would do well or even better for Redfish. They bottom feed more than Bass. I like to use a drop of super glue on the head of a Ned rig to hold the plastic even more. tying one on right now to try this week on the Reds.

      Seems like they will hit a Ned more so than a DOA especially when they are cruising and spooky

    I’m a new viewer to your channel, and I must say I already learned a lot. Good job!
    I just love the supply of zman I see in the background, think you have enough?🤪

    He makes a very important point, confidence, which in part is gained by experimenting, using those so called "freshwater" only baits on saltwater sometimes makes the difference, awesome instructional video, thank you for sharing.

    Capt. I appreciate your channel and you sharing the info. Really like that wooden Tarpon Flag under on the shelf.

    New subscriber from the coast of central SC. I’m loving the channel, we have a similar way of looking at baits and bait selections so your extensive experience is helping to elevate my game. Thank you for the incredible content. However, the Ned rig and all its options, and the M7, MR52, and some other old mirrolures are supposed to be secrets I’ve stumbled on! Haha he’s so right, and more dialed with all these techniques than I am, but it was giving me the edge around here, you’re killing me C.A.! Especially the slim swims. Just kidding and seriously, the Ned is so powerful no matter what your target fish is. I’ve caught fish on both coasts and in the Rockies at all times throughout the year. Mirrodines and she dogs and stuff are amazing and do have more action than the classics, but I’ve noticed that sometime the only lures that work are the oldies. Please keep the knowledge coming, you’re making me better every time I go out. Thanks again!

    I have a trout tournament this weekend in southeast NC. Looks like the rain will be pretty sloppy. The bite has been pretty good on mirrolures lately. Any thoughts on the snotty weather technique or baits?

    What would be a good color for the slim swim white?

    would the nedlockz shroom head be better for saltwater overall. im new to NED - they seem the same but looks like nedlockz have a beefier hook. lots of snook where i fish and the reds are very often in the trees too? chokoloskee.

      Yes the nedlockz are a bit more stout and so are the Pro Shroomz .

    What knots do you tie for braid to leader?

    • @jefflemaster2850
      @jefflemaster2850 3 роки тому

      Joe Vink look up double uni knot, FG knot and the Albright knot. One of those should work for you.

    • @Johnsack-l8k
      @Johnsack-l8k 3 роки тому

      @@jefflemaster2850 thanks for the advice, I’ve used the double ink knot with no issues but it is not the best when I need a long leader of heavy monofilament or fluorocarbon. I recently started to tie the Fg knot but have not used it since I live in Massachusetts and striper season is over. Thanks for the recommendation I appreciate it.
