A very sad moment! Rest in Peace Your Majesty! This is officially the Last "Queen's Guard"! From now on it'll be the "King's Guard".
To those of us who served in the R.A.F. for the Queen and Country and others who have benefited from her reign, the so sad passing of Queen Elizabeth 2nd has been anticipated but has now become a reality.
One can only hope sincerely that the Queen passed away in Peace and without discomfort.
It was my eternal please to have served her Majesty in the cause of Freedom.
Her Majesty was an inspiration to not only the U.K. and Commonwealth but the World.
The racist RAF recruitment policy that denies employment to indigenous British is what we should remember.
@@richjones4956 I agree with you on that! I retired after 33 years Service in January this year. Some was in the RAF and the rest was in the Civvie Police; during my Police Service I can't believe that the Bosses, nevermind the mainstream media are so bloody woke!
I served with many people in the Police Service; some Jewish and some Muslim; it wasn't a problem because they were my friends and we got on with the job in hand.
I'm a Catholic and my best friend is Muslim.
So, the RAF Recruitment process is what I thought It would be nowadays?
I also served in the RAF for nine years, and was proud to do so!
The QCS change arms like they mean it! I've always thought they could teach the Guard's Regiments a thing or too about drill!
RIP Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 96.
The greatest Monarch in history and the greatest of Britons.
Thank you for everything😭❤️😭
I know Lenny sad isn’t it gutted
@@Windsorguards RIP Our Queen 😭❤️😭
@@lennywindsor3820 it’s gust what happens some times Lenny
Remember watching the Queen’s Colour Squadron practising so many times at RAF Uxbridge. The precision and the sheer joy on their faces as they drilled has always stuck with me.
But that’s the ceremonial side. The Regiment is a formidable force in its own right.
The drill was always perfect mate....always spot on 👍
Real snappy Band and Guard. Great marching and music. Just like being there. RAF Regiment knows how step out
It's just a pity the two RAF escorts didn't change arms when they were supposed to, perhaps they were too close to the band and didn't hear the order, in which case they should be getting one when they reach the castle.Doesn't look too good.
@@demurphy9002watching older videos of the RAF the escorts never change arms, for some reason or other it's intended that wqy
We were present at this final Changing of the Queens Guard as we watched our son and his QCS comrades march in and take over the final mount.
It was a super proud moment for him and us, made all the more poignant when the Queen passed away several hours later.
May she rest in peace.
God Save the King.
How proud are you...congratulations.
It'll be KCS now for the Regiment. I wasn't a Rock but I served with them and some were good friends. I miss those years I served in the RAF but in the mid 90's I had to leave because of the Defence Review white paper going on then. I still had to PVR and buy myself out. I finished my 32 years of Service in the Civvie Police....but still miss those days decades ago 😢
Rest in Peace Boss. It was an honour to serve!

Windsor, Thursday 8th September 2022.
WE have been a very privilaged people to have had such a wonder loyal Lady as our Queen.
Thank you so much for your excellent coverage of this changing of the guard, especially as it proved to be so historical. Congratulations to the RAF band who played and marched so excellently at a brisk tempo. Aussie Geoff.
It’s my pleasure Geoff🙏
R.I.P Queen Elizabeth
Long live the King
Thanks Lenny windsor very nice changing the GUARDS 🇬🇧💯❤
My pleasure 🤗
Excellent. Great editing. Thank you.
My pleasure 🙏
Great video!
Marches:
National Emblem
Imperial Echoes
Holyrood
Eagle squadron
Great little army
Glorious victory
Thank you 🙏
Thank you
As a low-brass player, I will say that National Emblem is a fun tune to play.
Very smart.
Makes e proud Long live the King
that made me cry you can see,..how sad these,.. soldiers are,..must have been hard for them.
You're a hard act to follow, Lenny. Thank you.
Yes I was. Thank you 😊
Always think two side drums make such a difference. Great band, great squad.
I served in the RAF from the mid 80's to mid 90's. QCS was the Queens' Colour Squadron of the RAF Regiment, based at RAF Uxbridge then. I don't know if they exist anymore because of the Defence cut-backs....but thank you for the video; It remindended me of the 75th Anniversary of the RAF at Marham, when I was there. Nevertheless, thank you
yes they do still serve they are now based at RAF Northolt

Queen Elizabeth II has passed away
That day the weather was cloudy and rainy
"National Emblem" ~ "Glorious Victory"
Its a miracle they can mount a guard in todays uk army.
Fantastic thanks Lenny
You are most welcome 🙏
@@lennywindsor3820 You’re very welcome!!
Smart
again an Your captures are very good steady on sound and picture as a sound engineer I can tell your on right track very good work
Thank you 😊
Not one to comment about weight but the RAF Band Director of Music (whos belt is sitting terribly) and the Irish Guars Officer + Colour Sergent could do with dropping a few pounds
Reggie, not a great comment. It did not stop any of them doing their duty.
The Irish Guards officer is well overweight, eating everything in the officers mess.
Both of them can kick your a**es
@@kingoscar5884 A mess fee which is not affordable to everyone....
Better than anybody else’s!
Very good
God save The King
Crab Air Rock Apes giving it large.
Cracking drill as always.

Smart as the Guards, or even smarter.
Oh.... Steady Allen..

Queen's Colour Squadron, Royal Air Force Regiment.
Kind of awe to believe that everything that has "Queen's" on it would be replaced by King's
There will be a lot of sewing in the Forces.....
@@Lassisvulgaris oh wait you're right, those Drum Majors, Household Cavalry Bandsmen, and trumpeters need to change their QIIR to CIIIR or something
Red neoprene is big this summer!
When "Holyrood" strikes up you can see the RAF Regiment get an extra spring in their step !
The Irish? Guards on the return March back to Barracks were an almost shambles and seemed as if they were on a Sunday Stroll ... Heads forward, shoulders rounded, Chests in, Timing very slack.
The R.A.F. Regiment Guards were were on a different higher level as usual.
As a retired RAFP, I know we took the P*** out of the "Rocks", BUT Damn they march well. RIP ER, Long live King Charles.
They didn’t look good but they are just out of training. In contrast I couldn’t believe the amount of beards on the raf lot
@@gaughantony Bizarre to see beards on Servicemen other than the Royal Navy and certain appointments in the Army.
I guess it’s progress!
@@bugler75 as ex raf regiment I hate the beards
@@jackthelad5366 Im not a big fan of them at all to be honest although I did wear a mutton chop beard as a Bugle Major. I was really happy to be posted to another role so I could shave it off.
It just so ‘not us’!
I was Army but my best mate was RAF Regt Officer for 18 years. From Belfast. Mostly Rapiers then Halton as OC Training and Finally a post in the NBC/CBRN Regt. He’d a great career, 3 years in the US with the Marines and an Afghanistan tour with them.
If I was 17 again I’d have been a Rock for sure!
Don't want to be picky, the army guards marched with floppy arms and a bit out of time against the RAF Regiment lads, who appeared more meaningful. Just an opinion.
Yes imperial echoes
ah the Irish guards have some roly-polies these days
"Greggs Own"
So sad the Queen is past away
So sad 😭❤️😭
Someone translate the command shout for me to change the weapon's arm, please!!!
(CSgt) "Duties Change Arms"
looks like the guards are second string. Overweight heads are not up on some, guess they are saving starters for the big show.
Still find it odd to see full beards while in uniform. Times change eh!
New dress regs, hair and beard etc, have done nothing for the smartness of todays forces, and the Guards are not a patch on what they used to be!.
Apart from the soldiers losing weight, learning to march in step, etc, a good idea would be to use the Lee Enfield for ceremonial duties. Handling an SA80 must be very difficult in these situations. But when you see old films of Trooping the Colour from the 1950s, the contrast between then and now is alarming. Standards nowadays are laughable.
Really don't like seeing unnecessarily over armed police on the streets of Windsor. Much prefer to see a professional armed soldier looking after their own.
Rock apes
The Queen's Colour Squadron Royal Air Force put the Guards to shame, I am sorry to say. They were great! That said, even without the comparison I was dismayed to see how fat and sloppy the guards were!
Lol the big ‘yarp’ behind the guy with all the medals is the most awkward man in the world.
Why?
Looks like the rock ape sergeant with the the blue sash just behind and to the left of the officer at the front of the guard could not be bothered to put the bayonet on his L85. The dressing was not that great either. I bet the pongos loved marching behind an RAF band as well.
They don’t need to put bayonets on
That’s regulation mate
@@WembleyGaming i had no idea that there was a regulation about it. All parades I did everyone had bayonets on SLR's. Is it to do with bayonet damaging the colours or something like that?
@@johnmartin2464 I believe so, I don’t know fully but I know it’s a rule or something
Are beards now allowed in the RAF! When did that policy change!
I know. Don't like it. When I was in, the only ones allowed beards were the WRAF's
@@peterhall728 where you an intog?
@@barrycarey7521 I dont know. Whats an Intog?
@@peterhall728 intelligence interpreter, looking at photos 24/7 you would have recognised the ref if you were! Lol
@@barrycarey7521 No mate L Tech TC , Trade group 3 . The only photos I looked at were dirty ones.
Do we not shave in the forces anymore and pie eaters lead the way? In my life I have never seen such bad drill and performance by both arms of the forces. London Garrison Sergeant Major please.
😂😂😂
Why are very aware machine gun armed police officers required to protect the parade that way?
I was at Windsor 30 years ago watching a changing of the guard and they weren't there then.
Possibly they were but just more covert.
Asking for a culture.
Complete with scruffy beards. Looks awful.
I agree and think it is a lowering of standards. If the RAF thinks it is being progressive, such as dropping gender terms and calling personnel 'aviators' instead of men and women to comply with current wokeness and LGBT alphabet people's demands, then the RAF is losing its way.
What next? Painting our aircraft in rainbow colours?
@@wasp6594 Don't give them ideas. An aviator is a flyer, not some erk who waddles round the station. The Colour Squadron is supposed to be best of the best. It looks like they just grabbed a few tramps off the street, shoved them in uniform and taught them how to march. I suppose it'll happen in the Army eventually, even the guards and other ceremonial units who already look ridiculous with women in mens ceremonial dress.
Wasp,watch this space!.😉
