Not really. You can objectivity analyse filmmaking concepts and claim it works for the goal it's trying to achieve. You can then subjectively decide if you like it. For example, a director may do something slow paced which can make sense filmmaking wise but many people will still bounce off it.

You've gotta have an absolutely terrible attention span to call rdr2 a slog to get through. I 100% agree that with a controller the gameplay isn't that good but that isn't enough to steer me away from how incredible the story, characters and world is. And on keyboard and mouse I actually find the game really fun. Judging the game in its best state (PC release) it's still the best game I've ever played.

I think its a 60, a perfectly adequate experience but i deeply disliked the story. i felt it didn't let us stay with anyone long enough and i never really felt bad for anyone and they should have spent more time on different characters if they want you to care about them. i think they could have made the initial Joel bopping more impactful rather than use it as a cheap shocker, people had great ideas, i really liked the idea of letting you get into a Joel-Elly groove for longer before shattering the status quo and really making you hate deeper, before spending much more time on our controversial antagonist force us to sympathize.
@@itshunni8346 I like the story but either way, taking the game to 55 when the gameplay is great, is just a salty unprofessional angle to take. You've never played a 55 game if you think TLOU 2 is that bad. It totally discredits any reviewer by letting their internet rage take over. It's their opinion and whatever but I'll personally never take anyone seriously who thinks that way.

Zach Snyders Justice League is almost as unbearable as the first one, but because it was better than the original people were giving it way too much credit. That movie being 4 hours long should’ve been a fucking crime considering most of the movie was dragged out do the absurd amount of slo mo. The same problem the rogue one movies have. It took me multiple sitting to finish ZSJL because of how slow and boring it was.

Besides not playing it, absolutely rushing through it, or just hate story games, there genuinely isn’t enough valid reasons for someone not to consider it one of the best. Most consider it the closest a game has come to being “perfect”

@@DaMunkeeking story plays a major part to a good game. For example, Fallout new vegas has crap gameplay but an incredible story. Rdr2 has incredible graphics, story, development, world design and even the gameplay which people tend to criticize, is still incredible imo

@@smallbudoo I wouldn't say the mission design is bad but in replacement I would say the combat system and overall smoothness of the game is "clunky" like what Charlie said in the video. But the overall lore is really deep at least for me and even though I will never replay the game it is prob the best story game period. So all in all I would give it 8.5/10 or an 85 on the mm

You've gotta have an absolutely terrible attention span to call rdr2 a slog to get through. I 100% agree that with a controller the gameplay isn't that good but that isn't enough to steer me away from how incredible the story, characters and world is. And on keyboard and mouse I actually find the game really fun. Judging the game in its best state (PC release) it's still the best game I've ever played.

but it is average, in grading school system it just don't matter how hard you failed, so everything below 50 is a formality, while with movies and other media there are levels to how bad/good something can be
