I cook with vegetable broth and do not use oil. I get enough oil from the handful of nuts I eat. Once in a while I'll use coconut cream, a teaspoon in a coffee or hot cocoa drink. You can see the oil floating on top so I'm careful not to have but a touch.
Great tips! I have been a vegan for 6 years now, and am trying to get back to my fitness regime. I wish more trainers were knowledgable about vegan "diet", which is why I started to workout on my own than seeing a trainer.
Thank you for watching :) we're glad to hear you liked it and wish you all the best for your fiitness journey.
I’m going vegetarian because of love for animals
Thank you, Margie :) That's the strongest reason to stay vegeterian as well :)
Lots of helpful hints that I need to get back to! 😂. Thanks for this!
Thank you, Krystal :)
Great video,just subbed, thankyou!😊
I was putting too many nuts on my oats easily 400 calories worth and it wasn't getting burned off thanks for the tips!
Thanks for watching, Elisia.
I love nuts but it's so easy to overeat on them.
The nut substitutions was the issue for me - 😢
This new lifestyle is all new to me! I put chia’ flax in my smoothies and oatmeal
Brilliant. ty for the tips. will use them for sure!
Thank you :)
I’am new starting my journey on plant based! I was eating eggs everyday! Doing keto years ago! I’ll gave up eating eggs’ pizza! Bl my love for burgers up! I’ve been eating oatmeal with a big fruit smoothie for lunch! With walnuts’ chia seeds’ flax too I’m struggling how to order in restaurants! Thank us for your help
Great info, love this channel
Thank you so much :)
These are really good tips! You gained a sub!
great tip brother.
Totally right and very helpful 😊☺️🐱🤠😉
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent information
Thank you! Glad you found it useful :)
Thank you so much for the info! In my particular case, I find it so difficult to snack on veggies as I never have time to prepare a tasty snack with them. 😢
Thanks for watching.
You could maybe make a high protein dip along with them?
Hummus & buy veg cut up ! Yeah cost is higher but.....
what is the first powder you talk about under Fiber? I don't need to lose weight but would like to gain muscle and feel stronger that is my goal but also to get more fiber and just be healthier mostly I just eat the same thing which isn't healthy! that's why i was so happy to find this channel, love lentils but need to find more ideas for them.
Hi Ophelia, thanks for the question! We're talking about cocoa powder (or cacao powder), the name might differ depending on the manufacturer. It's just important to use the unsweetened product. :) luckily there are lots of great sources of fiber in plants, especially seeds, grains, and legumes. hope that helps!
If you cut out nuts completely, how will you get your omegas?
Interesting
Feel like I'm never going to be satisfied on a vegan diet. I eat and eat and eat, huge portions, whole foods, plenty of fat, protein, carbs, water, etc, and I'm ravenous again 15 minutes later. Medically healthy, taken on board every bit of advice I can find.
My life has become about food. I'm constantly hungry. I feel like crying at bed time because my stomach hurts from hunger. It's like my body burns through plant foods fast.
I'm very sorry to hear this, Seti.
Have you talked to a doctor? Maybe there is some underlining health issue.
@@Yes2LifeShow As I explained, I'm medically health. Blood tests are all fine.
Eat more beans...you may need more protein....or get an antacid as acid in stomach can mimic serious hunger pangs.
You need to go to a dietician with a food diary of what you eat, that’s not normal
Best tip for me was to snack on veggies
How about meat supplements as protein sources?
Cut the oil out completely. It does NOTHING for weight but add pounds.
Exactly! I loved olive oil (and still love it) and used to use it a lot especially with boiled potatoes and with fresh salads. I was perfectly healthy, but my weight went up a lot in last 2-3yrs. Oil was not the only cause, but was def one of the main ones. 6 months ago I cut out all oils and white bread, I eat a lot of boiled potatoes, tortillas, fresh and cooked veggies, legumes..till feeling full. I eat twice a day and am never hungry. I never allow myself to stay hungry because I know that it would result with soon overeating and losing motivation. In last 5 months I lost a lot of weight and it's really visible on me. Without exercise. I don't say that physical activity is not good, it absolutely is, but for losing weight it's necessary to be focused on food (kind of it and amount)
@@iks9120 Excellent diet! Sounds a lot like mine. And (corn) tortillas are a part of my diet too as I feel they're low density. Plus I try to eat a lot of fruit. Exercise can help but you're right diet is key.
You're right but what do I use instead to cook
@@jaszbri0639 veg broth, or just water.
Agreed! I cook with broth!
Yeah l messed up with using to much oil becoming a vegan has ruined my body fat in my stomach. Now l need to study how to starve on top of not eating meat.
I’m in bali. Is rice once a day weight gaining?
White
Brown
Red the best ?
Thanks for watching, Halim.
We also eat quite a bit of rice.
In general, as long as you stay close to your daily caloric expenditure or slightly below, you won't gain weight. That's why we recommend limiting foods that are high in fat as this will increase calories consumed per day.
Rice in any variation is totally fine, as long as it fits into your daily calories.
@@Yes2LifeShowYour answer is clear and logical. How do I know what my caloric daily intake should be? Im a female and currently consuming 1500 calories per day. Sometimes 1800. My weight loss is super slow 2 lb per week but i have 3 -week plateauing losing no pounds for weeks? Should i increase my calories? Dr fuhrman said to eat 400 to 500 per meal which is what ive been doing.
I had to toss the mixed nuts from Costco in the trash. I had them in my car to snack on after the gym…probably the most ridiculous healthy idea i ever had…I was eating half a cup or more! One day I just tossed them in the garbage and I will never buy them again. Absolutely impossible to eat the correct portion
More curious about how to gain weight on a vegan diet without using oil or minimal oil. I have already lost a lot of weight while on vegan diet, so much that I feel a bit too thin, healthy though - bloodwork is normal.
That's a great suggestion actually! We will think about it for another video :) you might want to add more nuts and seeds (since they're calorie-dense) and increase your calorie intake (though that can be a little hard at first!). It depends really on the body type as well: While I (Samuel) easily gain weight (and need to be careful), Lukas really needs to eat (and train) a lot to gain weight!
Thanks! Already eating a variety of seeds everyday and peanutbutter. The thing is my appetite has decreased over the last few months(who knows, maybe stress of 2020) and just eating more doesnt feel right and ends up in stomach discomfort. I used to feel like I gained weight easily, but since going vegan it only has gradually come down without trying too much.
@@Yes2LifeShow Do you want to make your own diet?
Dr Klaper recommends to add a fruit smoothie with protein powder and walnuts for people wishing to gain weight. One would add to that regular exercises for muscle toning and building. ua-cam.com/video/bkBjVDG8_EU/v-deo.html
@@aurelienb9109 Thanks for your commment. That's a good idea. Much easier to get a lot of calories in in liquid form.
i dont have enough energy unless i use supplements but they are now getting more expensive and they told me the vegan protein was harmful to the planet. what can be done?
Vegan protein is not harmful to the planet when it is ethically sourced and is certainly massively less harmful to the planet than animal protein
How do you lose FAT not weight on the scale on avegetarian diet and high protein anyone can lose weight( number on the scale)
It's a combination of exercise and staying in a slight caloric deficit while eating enough protein to maintain muscle mass.
I lost 18 pounds by going raw vegan in a month.
Do you want to make your own diet?
what's the point of veganism if it keeps you overweight🤔
Yeah because being skinny is the reason why people are vegan 😂
Veganism is an ethical stance, not a diet. People go Vegan for the environment and the animals, not themselves. It is not automatically healthy, you can still eat many junk foods and processed foods. It is just as easy to be unhealthy as a Vegan as it is to be unhealthy as a Vegetarian or Omnivore.
veganism is about ethics, personally i’m vegan for human rights reasons; climate change and world hunger. climate change because of the lower greenhouse gas footprint it causes compared to consumption of meat from and farming, and world hunger because if humans are fed crops instead of feeding so much of it in masses to farms, there would be approximately 70% more food etc etc.
but really, i can be vegan and just eat fries and pb and jelly sandwiches all day, being vegan doesn’t mean i’m healthy, i can just down a family sized pack of oreos lol.
What's with the hand gestures haha
Well, number 1, there is no such thing as a vegan diet!!!!
What do you mean?
@@Yes2LifeShow well, veganism is about animals rights and liberation. It has nothing to do with diet. Vegans are humans so I hope you are not on a vegan diet. Vegans are on a plant based diet. Again vegan diet does not exist. We eat plant based.
Veganism is a lifestyle, not a diet. It involves not wearing animal skins, using products tested on animals, paying for services involving animals (zoos and things like that), not using cosmetic products/furniture with animals in them and more. Implying it is a diet basically says it is only about the food. Plant based would be a better term for a 'Vegan diet'.@@Yes2LifeShow
