100% - it's a track monster and great engineering. Porsche purposefully sabotaged the 944 to pace way for the profitable 911.

944s and 968s are so fucking good looking in my opinion, but I guess that makes sense since my favorite RX-7 is the FC ;)
This is one of the ultimate test platforms. It was a parts bin VW car made to replace the 911 but the diehards said nuts to that and it died in the late 80's early 90's. They are owned by either die hard enthusiasts who meticulously take care of them religiously or soon f-boys who own them and give up when they realize how expensive and difficult it can be to maintain them and owned them just to say they owned a Porsche.

Your prices are stupid in the us. Here in the uk theyre going up but not that bad 2 years ago got a 1994 eunos roadster with lsd, ac, coilovers, exhaust, wheels and hardtop for 1800 pound little to no rust also.

I have one of these, an NA 84 with a bad water pump I replaced. It was good for $750 at the time. Paying over 5k for a non turbo is a mistake though.

The s models are the best ls swap cars. Cheap available kits, the transaxle for the na s models is strong enough for a stock chevy truck engine, and the 16 valve 2.5 liter is worthless and stupid expensive to fix so its perfect for a chevy swap. Plus they have better suspension and slightly longer gears than the base na and have no value in stock form so theyre readily available for little money with the engine already pulled. Too bad only 12k were made globally
Edit: Yoooo, anyone asking more than 10k for any non turbo one is out of their mind. Who the hell buys a 140hp german shitbox that requires a 1500 dollar timing belt every other year for more than 10k. Idiots
