1. Deny the Absolute 2. Vestiges 3. Midnight and Mescaline 4. Ephemeral 5. The Creeper 6. Night Time Stories 7. Strung Up from the Sky 8. Cold Hope 9. Immutable Dusk Encore: 10. Mammoth (with Evan Patterson (Jaye Jayle) on keys and Bobby Markos (Cloakroom) on bass)
Always found their drummer underwhelming. Just hoped for a heavier sound to match the strings, like Todd Trainer or Damon Che. But man! Gareth Keenan rocks on guitar!🤘
i love the rhythms but this band would clearly have done far better writing some lyrics and raging guitar solos with it... There would be more audience participation,,,
what they do is a lot easier to criticise than to actually do. And you can feel something in it... passion...emotion... You get bored with your whizzy, shreddy guitarists... which, after-all is why your here... but that said, I am somewhat stumped about all the angst over 250k volume pots vs. 100k pots
mark wilding. Hi Mark, I don't really understand what you are saying. I took a lot of bad words, empty seats and difficult to find work. People wanted to hear music and not be expressing myself. I wrote some good songs and was able to live to do my art another day.
Kevinpaul so you just play what you think people want to hear? People have been using music to express themselves for thousands of years. Don’t listen to pelican if it’s just “another noise shit” to you. Why don’t you go cover some fuckin steppenwolf songs at a shitty bar, you old twat.
No vocals? What? No solos? What? No Improvising? What? Just guys strumming guitars. Sort of like a high school garage band. Or just not talented enough to solo or sing. I like the sound, but I would eventually fall asleep from the monotony.
I fell out of my post rock phase a few years back, but whenever I come back its always to Pelican.
Ditto, I don't really listen to music like pelican anymore but I will always be a fan and have room for their first EP. It's so awesome.
Man I love Pelican .
They are so fucking AWESOME mere words can't express how awe inspiring they are.
Larry was my first college roommate at NIU. Love that guy.
Pelican is like powerful waves full of energy crushing everything on it's way..... much love from Mexico.

You're doing God's work
Nighttime Stories & Cold Hope are the two new songs
I'm from Brasil and i"m a very great fan of this band.
Amazing.
The quality of this audio recording really doesn't do this band justice. Hearing them in lossless and on good speakers is a treat.
are there any lossless videos available?
so many riffs, damn i love this band
The overdrive on these guitars is incredible. I haven't heard a band that can match Pelican for just pure raw energy
What an articulate band…
So good
There's none better than "Fucking PELICAN". One of only One of their kind.
Who the fuck add a dislike ?!?!? Great band since years!! Cheers Pelican
makes me proud to be from Chicago...love you guys
Oak Forest?
Or my favorite Oak Street Beach

Heyo anyone want to put in the effort and Mark the time stamps on these?
That most definitely is not the Creeper immediately after. Ephemeral.
Thanks for the video and the great audio quality!
I was wondering why it sounded off... my volume was too low. Crank it up and it's much better!
Saw them last night. They blew me away!
Great video! Thanks a lot. 💖
Jim Brewer on the guitar 😂
HA! I see it!
and Brett Favre
Watching in japan! Thx
that custom single bridgepickup/volume knob sg is seeeeexy
Excellent set. thanks for sharing.
Holy shit. Mammoth here is ridiculous....I was tranced at the end.
Amazing!!!
yes
Quite nice
Monotony on sorrow...but sounds great
Imagine the songs you'd write.
I am writing one about opioids. It's fresh.
Got Herb?
new song @ 13min?
6:20 got some stinkfist vibe yo
Its all just rehashed TOOL licks..
'
@@FartsInTanks just like the actual TOOL, eh?
Who are they playing with here? Who is the keyboardist and second bassist?
Evan Patterson (Jaye Jayle) on keys and Bobby Markos (Cloakroom) on bass)
So...Old... But still so good!
An the award for most annoying way to film a live performance goes to: this person who can’t sit still and realllly loves the zoom button.
Always found their drummer underwhelming. Just hoped for a heavier sound to match the strings, like Todd Trainer or Damon Che.
But man! Gareth Keenan rocks on guitar!🤘
bjtucker5 this is doom metal, you don’t need a double kick bass
@@MrChaffist
While that may be true... He's still painfully underwhelming.
I will throw him a bone, though: Drought & Mammoth 🤘
@@MrChaffistno need for double bass, but definitely rim shots are needed...every single time...imo
Instruments speak
This all sounds like the same riffs on repeat, for the duration of the video. Is this one long song or..?
These guys could use some harsh black metal/hardcore style vocals
Agreed
Why? They don't need shit. That would fuck up the sound.
Please no...
Distracting cookie monster affected vocals not welcome. No high screams, either. Hard riffs is all we need.
i love the rhythms but this band would clearly have done far better writing some lyrics and raging guitar solos with it... There would be more audience participation,,,
lol
Absolutely no need for lyrics
I was watching Rig Run Down and got the impression that they could play guitar. Another great noise shit.

You get bored with your whizzy, shreddy guitarists... which, after-all is why your here... but that said, I am somewhat stumped about all the angst over 250k volume pots vs. 100k pots

Sounds like what a 12year old amatuer would play.. how does this come off as talent or even music?
Nah Nah nut, nah nah nut, naha nah nah nah nut..
Second tune is a TOOL ripoff... holy crap does anyone listen?
Go away Troll
Did you just actually get sick of yourself and told yourself to piss off?
mark wilding I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what happened

go listen to gretta von fleet dude
What a jerk
