I fell out of my post rock phase a few years back, but whenever I come back its always to Pelican.
Ditto, I don't really listen to music like pelican anymore but I will always be a fan and have room for their first EP. It's so awesome.
Man I love Pelican .
They are so fucking AWESOME mere words can't express how awe inspiring they are.
Pelican is like powerful waves full of energy crushing everything on it's way..... much love from Mexico.
The overdrive on these guitars is incredible. I haven't heard a band that can match Pelican for just pure raw energy

I was watching Rig Run Down and got the impression that they could play guitar. Another great noise shit.
what they do is a lot easier to criticise than to actually do. And you can feel something in it... passion...emotion... You get bored with your whizzy, shreddy guitarists... which, after-all is why your here... but that said, I am somewhat stumped about all the angst over 250k volume pots vs. 100k pots

i love the rhythms but this band would clearly have done far better writing some lyrics and raging guitar solos with it... There would be more audience participation,,,
