Julie gave me a quote recently.. now I just need to find the dually to mount it on!.. thanks Brian!
That’s awesome. Make them take you to the dinner
Nice set up! I really like that bed, not sure if you have done this before, but I highly recommend welding a vice to a hitch to slide in and out of your hitch receiver. You don’t use it everyday but it is invaluable when you need it!
Yes i have done that on mine :)
I like the roll pouches for the wrenches because we can grab the whole set and bring it to the job and it is super easy to notice missing wrenches after the job is done.
I bought a set of tool organizers for my toolbox. Basically a plastic divider with a sawtooth pattern. Placed in the drawer in a V pattern, it holds the wrenches on their side from smallest to largest. Kept them organized, and easy to ensure no tools were misplaced. My set holds 1/4 to 1 1/4 inch wrenches. Surprising, it takes less space than just throwing them in a drawer.
Bounced over many fields with that setup. Also works well for screwdrivers.
@ 3:20 What I did in the service truck that I used to run I took a piece of wood and just made a divide for front and back. I put metric up front standard in the back. all of our wrenches are 19mm-32MM and 1"-2 1/2 It just keeps it so I only have to dig on one side or the other unless someone else throws them in randomly. our small wrenches are on the plastic hold trays.
Love the VoltAir compressor. I have one and wish they still made them.
Didn’t know they stopped. I bought this one in 2018
Very nice! I have 07 Duramax with edge tuner and large exhaust!!! Hauls butt and gets good mpg.....
That is one clean and very nice looking truck I always would just use a regular mounted tool box in my truck and I always had tools and stuff bouncing all around in rough fields maybe I'll have to look into something like that
That power inverter near the back of the driver's side back door looks like a worthwhile product, even if you don't have a truck.
You should do a video on all the equipment you guys have. Nice looking truck and setup .
Bomb ass truck/bed setup!! Very nicely put together.
Now that was cool!!! slick setup Brian.....Makes me wanna do another video of our Tire Service Truck!!!
Sweet set up Brian. Mt Vernon isn't far from my hometown of Coshocton. On you're wrenches look up Atlas 46. They make some pretty sweet canvas wrench organizers, socket organizers, and tool bags that are affordably priced.
Enjoy your videos, was up in the Columbus area yesterday. Love the farm land on the drive between cincy and Columbus.
Were you listening to WKRP? Lol
Nice bed, and nicely stocked! Only thing I would add would be an integrated (hidden) fuel tank and transfer pump.
Yea that would be nice to have for sure
greyghostkoga probably in the center of the bed in the front between the boxes is where I’d put it
Very nice truck and great looking truck box!
only 2 years late on my comment but for your wrench organization, a tip I picked up, use hydraulic hose protector (the spring wrap type) to hold all your wrenches in order, it gets them all really tight together and has worked great for me in my truck
Battery operated leaf blowers are awesome use it for tons of stuff
That truck is awesome. Pretty important machine for the farm I bet. I was always wondering about those seats.
Beautiful truck and beautiful bed. Maybe I'll have one someday but a guy can dream right
hard closed cell foam, use a wood or wire burner to cut out for each wrench set on edge, holds them tight, not a lot of wasted space and the don't rattle and get the hell beat out of them. Diesel wrenching in the oil fields and other places it's done the trick.
Nice set up Brian only thing we need now is some dry weather to put them to work another 3 inches from this last hurricane on ground that was already soaked
That's a very very very nice truck bed with all of those compartments for tools and miscellaneous supplies, and etc.
Can't wait for the equipment tour
On your wrenches take a piece of 3/4 angle iron and cut notches in it and your inches will set where they're face you
Wow, love your truck !! Very well equipped and handy !!
Would help to have a vice, small crane and maybe a folding lighting mast. These could all be detachable for convenience. And of course, you can never have enough storage.
Thanks for the video. I was already talking to hughes about a bed when I saw yours and just wanted to make sure that I didnt miss a manufacturer.
Hughes is awesome one thing I forgot to mention was I had auto door locks put on. Highly recommend them
@@BriansFarmingVideos oh yes, auto locks and bedliner are mandatory
Brian's Farming Videos could you do a quick video of the auto door locks and how they work some rainy day when you have time buddy.
My mom grew up in the mt Vernon area and probly knows if this family. My grandfather had a large farm that he was raised on then he took it over from his father and raised his family there which included my mother but none of his children (only one son and five daughters wanted to take it over when he passed and the grandchildren were still too young to take it so it was sold back to the Amish families that farmed next door. I would have done anything to be able to keep that farm going.
Great video and thank you for sharing. I will check out this company.
Buy some closed cell foam and cut out notches for the wrenches etc
I augment by painting red = SAE and green = metric. Also dipped the tops of my Phillips screwdrivers in white paint to give them a distinct "hat".
Martins Welding out of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania also make aluminum flatbeds and aluminum gooseneck utility beds that are nice.
Nice setup!
I bought a ram chassis cab with a flatbed for my service Truck & Cattle work. Compared to my Ram 3500 the chassis cab is a huge step up in weight and towing ability. My 3500 Wait Almost 7500 lb the chassis cab is 10300 pounds. I've never had a truck pull wagons and control them like this one!
That is a great set up, everything In the field if you need it.
Nice looking setup you have there. Eby outside London, Ohio makes some sweet truck beds as well.
Dang it Brian! Just when I thought I had everything I needed to be happy I watched this... Good looking truck and awesome bed.
Thanks for watching. It’s hard to imagine not having it now.
Great video, I live in mount vernon so I see there products quite a bit. They come weight the trucks here at the co-op form time to time.
An Edge Insight and EFI would be a nice addition. Nice setup.
Just take a good diameter wire, coil it around a thick broom handle or something. Take it off the handle and pull the coiled wire apart enough, to put your wrenches in the spaces.
What did it cost? I'm comparing to the CM/PJ beds
Looks great, everything you need, plus gets the daily stuff done, great truck!!!
Man you guys are less than 30 miles from where I go to school. I appreciate the fact that you like your red tools, and that is a beautiful truck and a great setup for a service bed. Looks like it comes in handy often.
Your channel has grown a lot since you put videos up of harvest
Badass setup. Would you recommend that air compressor for say running a diaphragm pump to transfer coolant and oil and to run air tools like die grinders etc?
Adding a vice or chuck will top it off 👍🏽
Brian....just an FYI for you. I recalled you mentioning the Voltair compressor in this video and was interested in it. I found them on the net and called John at the company that builds them now. I mentioned that I saw it on UA-cam. He called back today wanting to know the video that I saw it in and I gave him the name of this video. He might try to get in touch with you so I just wanted to give you a heads up.
Thanks
I’ve wondered about steel beds vs aluminum beds. Norstar now offers an aluminum bed. That will probably be the direction I go
Norstar was the bed that originally peaked my interest but at the time they only offered steel beds
Check out Martin truck bodies in pa. They make specialty gooseneck service bodies and they’re awesome
Real nice service utility body that you have there.
Wow impressive Thank you
Try carabiners thru box end of wrenches to separate. Easy to get one u need
Man I feel incredibly stupid for not thinking of that. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll probably do that.
i made a big safety pin out of welding wire for mine
Nice truck. Have you thought about a welder or fule tank in the front of the bed?
For your end wrench organization I would suggest trying some sort of large springs.
Really nice set up
Good looking truck with the service bed buddy
Sick truck. Very cool
Years ago I saw a rubber t shape filler for between tailgate and bed don't remember in which catalog or try to fabricate something from rubber to fill that gap it got to be flexible though
This the best one I have seen so for.veru interested.
That truck is sweet man.
For the wrenches I keep in the truck , I keep sae separate from metric with a piece of bailing wire tied thru the box end
Nice truck, watching from philippines, i wish i could have a truck like that,
Thanks
No refrigerator for George's lunch. 🤣
The best bed I’ve ever seen
Nice setup. I like the idea of the bed liner coating on top of the boxes & in the bed. Is the paint on that bed powder coat? Sharp looking truck too. Stay safe.
Thanks the bed isn’t powder coated
That is an awesome box.
That’s a cool service truck
What air compressor did you buy? I am currently setting my truck up very similarly
Thanks boss for sharing... awesome setup!!!
nice setup Brian man how much rain did you get glad we didnt get that much here in ontario
1.8”
Wow you got one very nice truck and it’s a Chevy! That Duramax is awesome!
Hey
thats about as nice of a service body that iv seen on a single rear wheeled pickup iv always liked the lids that lift up as long as its not snowing very nice looking match the
Who makes the 3/8 swivel sockets? Also try the new wrench widget organizers
Needs a recever mount vice set up.
How much did that service body cost You?
Get some flat magnets or old speaker magnets that should work to keep them in place
Snap on has roll up bags for their wrenches maybe you could find something like that.
What kind of power inverter you use? I am looking for one in my service pickup. Getting tired of forgetting batteries to bring home to charge after a lond day in the field haha
Nice video man keep up the good work! And nice shirt.
Brian. If you could measure the distance from the ground to the top of the tailgate. Wondering how many inches it is compared to a stock bed.
If I don’t forget
Also name and # of company that built and installed it
For the wrenches look into ernst tool organizers
great vid brian nice setup, have a good weekend
Truck videos work to 👍. We have sleet coming down right now 😞..✌God bless stay safe 🚜🇺🇸🚜🇺🇸🚚🇺🇸🚚
That’s a sweet set up!!!! I want it
Nice truck!
Happy National Farmers Day!
Thank you
Gotta love Milwaukee
How is the clearance pulling the camper with the raised boxes in the front, would you say it's about the same as having a crossover toolbox in a regular truck bed?
Probably. I have plenty of clearance for about 100 degrees of turning. Where it gets close it the inside of the bed. The camper hitch almost hits the inside of the middle took box before you have to worry about the front box
A su genial y admirable su profesionalismo felicidades está muy bonita su camión y gracias por compartir
bumper Vise???...enjoyed the vid...great setup...
Oh no aluminum??? Haven’t you seen the Chevy commercials it’s no good! Your going to have holes in it soon and the first bucket full of cement blocks you dump on it will dent it up! Sorry couldn’t resist, kidding aside nice looking rig you got there! Milwaukee Fuel tools and you can’t go wrong.
Nice truck! That looks like a different grain dryer... Do you guys have 2?
Yea we have two different grain facilities each with a dryer
Awsome truck brother!
That’s food concession trailers u see at the fairs
What is the model number for this bed? How much did it set you back?
Maybe use some kind of paint to make a small mark to separate those wrenches
Wow!
You should get a flame box for those sprays
Very nice truck, where did you get the Interior
It’s from a company called katskin. They look good but I don’t think they hold up well.
Wow that’s nice now I regret putting that aluminum flatbed on my truck this spring lol
What part of Illinois are you in
On
GATEKEEPERS 98 central Illinois
@@illinoissandfarmer4726 my neck of the woods
I’ve been waiting for this, thanks Brian!
Good job 👍🏼
