      Many individuals who have acquired Canada’s Permanent Residency (PR) and citizenship have now become part of the responsibility for repaying Canada's foreign debt. After investing substantial amounts of money in education and spending countless hours working tirelessly, often in low-wage jobs, one must ask: Is obtaining Canada’s PR truly a wise choice? Shouldn't we reconsider the true value of such decisions, especially when considering the cost of living and the long-term impact on personal well-being? Furthermore, Canada is being led by the inept officials of the Liberal Party, who have spared no effort in undermining the country’s economy and reputation. For a clearer perspective on the situation, watch Daniela Cambone’s discussion with Kevin O'Leary (starting at 10:55), a prominent Canadian businessman and investor, where they highlight the serious challenges facing Canada today. It's crucial to reconsider whether this is the right time to stake your future in a country whose leadership seems to be driving it toward collapse.

I’ve been in this field for the past 12 years, and the most you can make is 200k, and that’s only if you have a lot of experience and are really good at it. Aur yeh sabse risky field hai. Agreed. The highest is 200k. That's what Pamela Prescott told me when I worked in her design department at Century 21 Heritage Group. Her highest level reps were doing around 200k and they were incredibly busy and doing a lot of showings.

    $15000 per month is $110-$120 per hour on contract, which is easily achievable. There are contracts available at that rate, I know a solution architect who earns $150 per hour. What Harmeet is saying is possible and many people around you may be earning it :) Dont compare it with FTE packages - no one gets 300k per year unless you are a CXO of a US based MNC. Thats doesn't mean you cant get the money through contracting. The only issue with contract jobs is you will need to find a new gig once you finish thr current one (very few get extended) and then you may earn 15-20K for a month but wont be able to sustain it for a complete year.

    • @sainiamarjeet

      Please don’t compare full stack developers and architects with product managers. 😅 no one gets 300K in Canada specially in government job. And BTW let’s do fact check, if he is truly being transparent. A - government at any levels does not have consulting powers. It could be through subcontractors so that’s not called government job. That is still a private job working on government projects. B - if that is government job then any one earning more than 100K should be included sunshine list produced by government of each province as well as at federal level every year. Googling name in sunshine list for Ontario will show his exact earnings with benefits without tax deduction if he earns more than 100k working as government employee in Ontario Canada.

      @@margisheth87 Please do the research and do let us know. I don't really have time to research through government lists to put someone down on social media. By the way, looks like you have never worked in Contracting B2B. $110 /hour doesn't quite equate to $300K / year FTE. There are several factors involved, tax treatment is one, benefits other. But do let us know 😂 since Desis take more interest in others lives more than their own, I won't be surprised if you find some dirt on them just to put them down. Also another peculiar thing with contracting is a "Single" contract might cease to exist in 3 or 6 months and then the person won't show up in "Sunshine" list (Ideally they won't anyways because most contracts are B2B & not B2C, payments are made to corporations and not individuals)

    Anyway, my suggestion to all the newcomers to Canada: Canada mein kisi bhi Punjabi ya Sikh realtor aur car dealer se kam se kam 10 kilometre doore rahein. Ye Punjabi aur Sikh log badey chunt, shaatir, aur matlabi hote hain. Meetha meetha bolke aapko market mein bech denge aur pataa bhi nahin chalega. Apna matlab nikalne ke baad aapko pehchaanenge bhi nahin. Jhooth to itne confidence se bolte hain ki aapko inka har jhoothh sach lagne lagegaa. Aapko caution karnaa mera kaam thaa. Aage aapki marzi.

    Good that you also answer silly questions. By the way, do you explain to these first time home buyers that buying a property on mortgage is a net to net loss making decisions if you consider all costs including ( interest paid over the overall tenure opportunity costs of not investing that money on other financial instruments, overhead costs of owning a property, plus many other non-monetized things that you sacrifice by owning a house on mortgage like going on vacations, etc)?

    Thank you bhai... Great insight. Unlike others on this comment section I trust you and I know for sure that $110-120 is not unheard of in the IT contracting world. I know people who earn $150- $200 (Senior Architects in IT). Only thing I will add here that contracting in IT may not be everyone's cup of tea and same goes for Real Estate industry. There may be periods of lull (not getting a new contract/ not cracking a sales deal) in both - you are doing it because you are strong willed & hardworking. I dont think all people (especially those are used to full time jobs) can do it.

    Don't want to become a real estate agent ever, because I think the biggest problem in Canada is to maintain the license you have to keep selling every month, and also make payments to the Real Estate association of the province. I feel it is a very very big fraudulent business, with owners having multiple properties and controlling the rents and financiers harassing people for mortgages. All this is such a notorious vicious cycle and the most atrocious business that it's better to keep away from it for humanitarian reasons 😢😡

  • @mohitarora1925
    @mohitarora1925 Місяць тому +5

    Real estate is a cyclical industry. You need to be prepared to work for months to crack deals. The conversation rate is just 1% & the environment is very competitive.
    Maybe, since you have a tech background you can try some disruptive ideas & do something in proprech rather than doing it the conventional way..
