Hey Sean; As I was building my wpengine blog, the 'about us' section was proving difficult. Although your Location Rebel Academy course provided clear, specific examples and step by step instructions, I hit a wall. I have several ways I could go. This vid just resolved that problem in two ways. This is what I decided after watching this video.
1. The primary purpose is to showcase my writing. 2. At least half of my samples (stories) deal with a specific problem. Fortunately, I can also add solutions for the audience I will be cold calling. I will focus on just this one area, at least for now. Later, I will include topics. Thanks
I am an undergraduate student (no degree) with zero job experience in any field. I was hoping to start as a generalist since I have always been a master at learning anything (in-depth) and niche down later, but i that is no longer possible how I am supposed to niche down with zero IRL experience and zero work experience from beign a generalist
As you are an ex student you can write all about education, the educational system, the failings of the system and how better the educational system could function.
You can also niche down into the good places where a practical degree which will lead to a fulfilling future and career can be had.
Then you could do white papers on where people have been able to excel after their education at such places and send them to those places as an example of your work and can you have a job writing for their website please?

I had a feeling the AI pendulum would swing the other way, but I confess I was worried it wouldn't. Glad to hear this update and that humans are still relevant lol. It is important to keep up with how this all impacts us though, and I thank you for taking the time to do so.
Make more content about copywriting you are very compelling when teaching that topic and nowadays in Latin America at least copywriting is booming
Thanks Sean, I do more of meditative writing and I want to become a freelance writer. Is that a niche I can work with or should I do something else?
The latest big G update is wiping out AI generated content and the devastation being felt in the black hat SEO world is palpable.
The rush to auto-blog with the latest and greatest did wipe out established writers who went to a point way past desperation.
However, those writers who were able to weather the storm are now discovering, as you say, that properly written human content is the only real way forward for serious web owners to rank and then retain that rank for their content.
Using AI as a writing tool is a sound way to get a structure for an article but that is it.
AI has no memory of things done as it has not actually done anything so cannot relate or pass on first person experience.
There is no feeling of compassion, excitement or passion that only a human can bring to an article.
The human emotions are lacking and until the bubble burst, which is now happening, this was lost to many who are now leaning to their cost the folly of their ways.
Real writers rock.

Bing Chat is a good ai to use. But like all the others, it only searches for and pulls up info you can choose to use. AI is still being grown through human conversationalists, so to say, so the programs are still not perfected. Such that they cannot write the whole article. Besides that, the human character can come only from, duh, the live human element. Bing is cute because it responds to thank you and other, more polite, communication.
