His only defense: i listened to lawyers and accountants who said it was ok to record reimbursements as legal expenses. Even tho an employee who paid for a legit business expense would have been reimbursed for the exact amount. Example: you put gas in a rental car on a work trip. Legit expense incurred while doing your job.
That part isn't disputed. Trump wrote check to his lawyer=legal expenses. Accounting clerk listed as legal expenses. They/this WAS legal expenses
