- On today's Tinfoil Tuesday Jon Levi brings us a video on forbidden lands. He starts with that old flat Earth favourite Antarctica, before moving on to the Arctic. And finishes with something truly ridiculous!
Thank you all for watching!

Dan's opinions shared in this video are supported by verified facts (whether scientific or general) and they should be treated as just that: opinions. All critique and humour are addressed to the words and actions of individuals and not to the individuals themselves, under the Act of Free Speech.
If they ever needed someone to narrate a series of hour long documentaries on different colours of paint drying, look no further than Jon Levi folks. Great vid SciMan
"WATCHING PAINT DRY!!! The new exiting 20 part miniseries on a-service-nobody-knows" yeah ... for sure ;)
I don't know... an hour? What if you want to use _two_ sentences in the narration?
I don't understand how Jon can maintain such high energy and intensity...
@Len Taclof I'd think turning this guy up to 1.5 times might be a little more tolerable but even at double speed I bet he just sounds fairly normal.
Ha! Just for experimental purposes I tried turning him up to 1.75 which should work out to double his normal speed and that was a little funny sounding but 1.5 which would be about 1.75 with Dans .25 added sounded about normal.
I was hoping to contract him to narrate my upcoming documentary "Staring a Brick Wall". Such a talent.
I never used to believe this other lands stuff until one morning whilst reaching for some trousers from my wardrobe, I kept going and came across a man with deers legs playing an ocarina who warned me not to accept any Turkish delight from a woman on a sledge.
I met that woman in my closet. Yeah don't accept any food from her.
"The Young Ones" version was best
There are more lands in the wardrobe.
A sledge? Is this a typo or is this woman riding a hammer? Or am I an idiot who doesn't know an alternative use for the word sledge?

@Brad Griffin Indeed!

Most important properties of supersecret projects:
- Largest powers and nations build intricate and expensive ways to hide things.
- Anyone who gets close to it gets eliminated.
- Only a few initiated people know about it.
- Plus the average uneducated random bloke on the internet, and they always fail to eliminate them.
Regarding the last one, if they did eliminate them, it would prove that random bloke right. It's better, easier and cheaper to just make him look like a nutjob, then no one will ever believe him.

Man in the UK: "The 13th Century coaching inn just up the road there has very low ceilings, so I go to the 16th Century place toward the nature reserve instead."

The Tower of London which dates back to the 11th century wants a word about his 400 year reset. Have these idiots never read a frigging history book?
The man in the USA is extra dumb, since there are European-built early 17th-century buildings still standing in various states. *And* 16th-century stuff in Puerto Rico. (Of course there's also some buildings from even earlier built by indigenous people, but I'm guessing this Jon Levi guy would claim they were "pre mud flood" or something silly.)

I worked on cruise ships. I've been to, and set foot on Antarctica 4 times. Plus, I believe in the past year or two, there was a man, Colin O'Brady that cross-country skied across the narrow part of the continent.
That’s so cool!! I’d love to go there one day!
You lucky bastard!
My cruise ship only sailed close; but we weren't allowed to go ashore.
Cruise ships take you to one minuscule area. Did you see the ice walls? Have you been across the entire area? Just because a person travels one small area does not mean they are an expert on that area....the way that I am not an expert on my own coutry despite the fact that I have visited other areas outside of where I live.....Not even an expert where I live.
“Why was I not excited about it?” Because it counts like you could light this guy on fire and he still wouldn’t sound excited.

One bit of bad news though...the fact that you're having a conversation with him will get you one more year under close supervision...of course, it will be even longer, if it turns out that, your fellow flat-earther, "John Levi" turned out to be the condiment bar... your chaperone is likely to not believe you, when you tell him/her that John is shy around strangers, that's why he's not responding.

"Why would you want to invade Antarctica?" - He who controls Antarctica controls the penguin army.
It’s time to mobilise the polar bear army. They’ll make short work of those penguins.
There is NO controlling the penguin army. These evil creatures are hellbent on global domination and will accept no other leader. Largest hole in the ozone layer? Antarctica. Most penguins? Antarctica! Smaller holes detected over the major cities of Earth, these cities have zoos, these zoos have penguins. Coincidence? I think not! The increased radiation getting through these holes does not affect the evil ones due to their thick oily feathers. The warming oceans is to their benefit, and flooding the human-occupied land masses help preserve the flightless feathery fokkers' food sources. The polar bears knew, which is why they destroyed the Northern populations - but the bears couldn't cross the hot tropics, so the Southern colonies of penguins survived... and THRIVED.

Hilarious thing everytime they claim "forbidden Antarctica" is that I live a 10 minute walk to Australias Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies and a 10 min drive to the Australian Antarctic Survey. Many of the workers live locally and I know at least a dozen who have spent multiple seasons there. A guy who helps in our garden spent much of ten years overwintering there. He can't be very observant, because in that whole time he didn't see a single soldier, let alone a Nazi!
The old 'map makers' from several hundred years ago took great license when they drew their maps and would fill in unknown areas with land masses and even sea creatures that did not exist. They didn't like to leave great blank spots on their maps and simply let their imaginations... RUN WILD!

@@-oiiio-3993 still looking for that "here be mermaids" spot.
It's probable that you could find people everywhere civilized capable of precisely describing the 20km around them, but collecting all those data would have required resources way beyond the interest of having maps.
Also, before the invention of chronometers, longitude was hard to estimate, so old maps were pretty fuzzy, but still very usefull to know how to reach distant places.
You can go volunteer at Mcmurdo Station on the coast of Antarctica, and you can also volunteer at Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station which is literally 50’ from the geographic South Pole, there are tons of pictures and video tours of the station and the Pole marker!

Also hilarious in a Monty Python kinda silly way 🖖🏼
I love mud wrestling!
Yeah agreed, would have made for an interesting urban fantasy book
I personally are interested is bastion or star forts. You know, the 16th&17th century defensive structures.
Only one problem.
The majority of videos on UA-cam are about how these forts are "proof" of "mudfloods", "antediluvian world" and "Grand Tartartary".
Even on serious history videos the comment section is filled with them. To the point its not even funny anymore. Just sad.
I just want to learn about military defenses. But somebody has to push his conspiracy theory down my throat.
Have you actually studied the evidence presented about the mud flood? Well many older buildings do actually have underground floors along with external decoration and often doors, windows. This doesn't mean it was caused by a mud flood however, for instance in London in the UK the Victorians built a large underground network of sewers and it was much easier for them to build them and then raise the street level rather than digging down, this also kept everything above the waterline. Many buildings were then partly covered by 1 floor, but some 2 or even 3 floors. The chances of a major earth event as recently as the early 19th century as claimed is in my opinion close to impossible as well as the alleged extensive free energy network and advanced civilisation. It doesn't mean that we haven't been lied to about some of our history however or that they haven't got some things wrong, but I agree this isn't plausible and it's a shame many flat earthers follow this route making them easy targets for shills like SciManDan.
@@pjcnet In Berlin sections of the water and sewage lines are above ground. Not only easier to build them that way, but a little less likely to run into an unexploded WWII bomb. In a few years, they may raise the streets. In the meantime, they run right down the median strip of main streets painted gaudy colours. They're kinda hard to miss, so they have to dress them up so they don't look like the Soviet era concrete greyness in East Berlin.
There's a part of downtown Chicago where the main street level with pedestrian walkways, small parks etc, is built-up 30-40' feet above the ground, perhaps inspiring the city in 5th Element.

Dude talks about the enemy coming from the poles.
What was left out... was that Byrd saw the poles as potential attack routes for enemy air forces, as they were largely not monitored or defended.
Dude then extrapolated that it was extraterrestrial.
Dude says planes were lost. One plane was lost, crashing in a blizzard, out of the 30 or so.
Dude says that Byrd became sick after returning. Conveniently leaving out that he got sick a year after his return, from the 1957 Operation Deep Freeze, which saw the navy in a support role, but was not otherwise a military expedition.
Dude is wilfully blind or intentionally deceptive.

Obviously Metallica don’t exist. Name ends in ‘a’, just like NASA. Q.E.D. And nothing else matters…
@@lidbass by that countries like India, China, and Continents like Asia, Australia, Africa, North-America, South-America don't exist and only Europe remains?
@@CathrineMacNiel Beware. You only have to change 4 letters and NASA becomes beer. Coincidence? I think not!
Oh no, Metallica are in on it too? Is nothing sacred?!
“And then I stopped mainlining barbiturates and suddenly I felt… kinda stupid.”
This guy is the epitome of Cheech & Chong's "Let's Make a Dope Deal".
"I played Black Sabbath at 78 speed. Then I saw God."
"Dave's not here, man!"
People see one patch of sparse greenery and suddenly they claim it's the whole continent. That's like saying that upstate NY is full of skyscrapers because you visited NYC.
It's the Alednam effect, where no one remembers events that never happened.
Interesting that you called it that; since that person calls it the "Reverse Mandela effect".
Why did you name the effect after the person who wrote it on urban dictionary?
@@D-Vinko Reverse Mandela is Alednam.
I guess if Diazapam is part of your regular diet, you'd happily believe all that he believes. Drugs are bad mmkay?
His brain slowly melting is the only thing that explains both his thought process and his slow-mo speech.
Someone help the guy! Send him to antarctica so he can cool his head off!
I've been high before myself, sometimes even a little too high. I guess this is what the latter sounds like if I had taped myself and posted it on youtube.
Here's some algorithm food before I pass out from my soul being drained by that monotone.
I was going to invade Antarctica but then I decided to get a plane ticket lol.
Playing Dan in 1.5x speed makes him sound even more passionate about science.
Yes, I have just discovered the same thing. And the reason for that was probably identical 😁
.5 speed at 6:06 sounds like a couple of really drunk guys having an insane discussion. One of them is insane though. Hilarious.
Hey that moon map is actually cool! I should play around myself with trying to see how applying a colored gradientmap to the moon would look like. Sounds like great fun!
I'll bet jumping out of bushes and yelling "Boo!" at this Levi character would be a blast.
He'd likely react with great sloth.
No doubt he would be startled, but very s l o w l y
I wonder if this guy grew up in the 70s. He sounds like the kind of person who as a teenager regularly watched a candle for like, 3 hours and had his mind blown. His particular brand of crazy smacks of a stew of loads of acid with partially digested scraps of half listened to news reports and random bullshit his friends told him floating around.
Ahhh Tuesdays...
He sounds like he is stuck in a eternal acid trip 😏
@@TrickOrRetreat You'd have to be crazy on acid to think that the moon shows a reflection of the Earth. I know they're desperate but come on.
it's nice that he is so sure of it, despite the fact that according to him no one is allowed to come. he knows perfectly how it should look like.
His video made me feel what is it like to live in bullet-time. Cheers
You can actually book scenic flights, over Antarctica, from a number of Australian and New Zealand cities
Watch it at x1.5 for fun. Jon becomes bearable (but still slow somehow!), and you can still understand Dan, he just looks like he drank all the coffee in the world before the show.
This guy sounds as if he would fall asleep to the sound of his own voice. How he gets through editing his videos in one take is beyond me lol
He did. That was him talking in his sleep and the video was even sped up.
I'm pretty sure I aged 5 years just listening to him.
CC did a video a while ago with the title saying something like “explain this sci man Dan.” You should respond to it!
Needs to add Dan's name to get a few views
I just watched it. I don't think it's really worth responding to, cause his entire argument can be debunked by simply saying "use a solar filter". Could use it as a part of Flat Earth Fail Compilation though.
Is it why his wife left him? Because we can't help him there.
Surely you don’t mean CC, Chris from New York, Westchester County? If he ever moves he won’t know how to introduce himself.
Has he got a new studio yet or is it the same tired old Chrysler?
Having been to Antartica myself, I can assure you that if you go down by yourself, even if you can get through the Drake Passage, you will not last even 5 minutes.
so have I, christmas 2006. It was cold, it was windy, we had to scub part of the trip because of ice (note we were on an ice breaker). i loved it. but yeah, 5 minutes outside without the ice breaker waiting would have been seriously detrimental to anyone's continued survival.
Would love to travel there - need to start saving.
He desperately needs to start painting "Happy little clouds..."
i love how when its sped up he just sounds like a regular person
I can never get enough of these 🤣🤣🤣Dan your the best!!!

Sciman Dan, I admire you. To go listen to this astoundingly confused, absurd and soporific narration is truly a testament to your dedication to your role as debunker. I’ve had conversations with people on Valium who inject more personality into their speech. Kudos Dan, kudos!
Mark Felton has YT on the Nazi interest in the Antarctic.
Mark Felton has a fantastic channel. I look forward to his videos every day! He even went down the conspiracy debunking rabbit hole with The Bell, as I recall
Speed it up even faster next time Dan. That's excruciating.
It's so irritating lol
