Yes! It’s so true. I feel like I can get caught up in the hype when it comes to some high end brands but there really are so many great options under $10! The drugstore really continues to impress me!
Gosh, I wish the Walmart near me was like that! They don’t even carry most brands like other locations do! There’s no NYX, no Hard Candy, no Uoma By Sharon C, no af94. It’s an awful selection with barely any cruelty free brands aside from Milani and elf 😔

Similar situation here. What brands they do have in mine usually isn't even stocked that well. I can order online but it's fun to go and see things in person too ☹

We only have 2 half sections in my Walmart 😂
Where I live in PA I have several Walmarts.. there’s one that I will go out of my way to once in awhile (about 25 mins drive) because the selection is huge. The whole Walmart is huge. It’s just a pain to get to because of the traffic and a bit further away.
Of all my drugstore products the Makeup Revolution cream bronzer is my favorite. It really is so damn good!!!

Ah I’m so excited to hear that Rimmel is now cruelty free! So funny you mention green shadow in this video, I just noticed NDs new palette which looks beautiful and has a number of softer green shades. I was seriously so impressed by the brow gel you used and haven’t seen/heard of it yet but that’s a must try for me! Tfs ❤
I love that revolution cream bronzer , and another lik high end feeling combo is the Elf primer bronzer (forever sunkissed) and the essence pure nude highlighter on top of that elf bronzer and it's a beautiful satiny glow bronzer 😍😍
I always do my base products before my eyes. I don’t put glitters on my eyes or intense or dark looks, so I never have any problems. It’s always nice to see good quality, affordable makeup featured.
I always do my eyes first, I find it presents more benefits than doing face first. It's easier to clean fallout, and if I'm having a bad makeup day, I'm only removing the eyeshadow, whereas the other way around I'd have to remove (and eventually redo) a full face. That seems wasteful to me, even if it's not significant. Also eyes first means I can coordinate cheek and lip colours better. Love how you keep focused on lower cost products and being real about prices right now. I can always count on you for feel-good videos.

Yes, please film another, I love seeing these. I recently just went through all of my makeup and threw away so much money in expired high-end product and I refuse to do that again. I now will be buying mainly drugstore with the exception of some of my favorite products. So I always love seeing recommendations. I'm on the hunt for a good setting spray that is good for sensitive skin and that's not overly fragranced.
I'm liking the new essence palettes for soft looks. The eyeshadow blend so fast. It's a nice change from super pigmented shadows that need work to blend.
Loving these frequent uploads, Andrea! About mascaras- when you talk about how much you love some mascaras, I often think I wish maybelline was cruelty free so you could try sky high. It is my absolute favorite for lengthening and curl. But like you said luckily brands like Tarte and tower 28 offer good mascaras although they don’t fully hold my curl. I’ve tried Essence and Milani and they don’t work for me, at least not in what I like in my lashes :(
Ahhh I know I’m seriously hoping Maybelline goes cruelty-free! I hear so many good things about that mascara! It’s the first thing I would buy! 🙌
I have found that when I use an eyelash primer, Loreal Voluminous Primer before I apply any mascara. My long lashes are separated beautifully and it makes the look.
I finally tried the catrice true skin foundation. I get the hype! It is a beautiful foundation. I can’t stop using it. It’s better then some high end that I’ve tried.

I’m not sure why they aren’t talked about! They’ve been around forever and are literally my favorite even over the lifter gloss by mabelline
Also l quite like the Rimmel Lasting Matte Foundation & the Wondercloud Liquid Eyeshadows in Truffle Haze & Spiced Petal. Just doesn't feel like there's that much in the tube though for the price ❤️

Don't feel bad about the wrinkle between your eyes! I have one too! I'm autistic, so I don't make many facial expressions, except for apparently furrowing my brows all day because the line between my eyes is the only deep wrinkle I have (I'm 36). I'd love to stick a little bit of Botox right in there 😅
I think Rimmel is really underrated! Their foundation (the one with the red lid) is awesome! I finished a whole bottle. Their lip glosses and eyeliners are really good too! I am using the mini Hard Candy purple palette today!! Oh and I definitely do my base first. :)

as for me I alwaysstart with the eyes when it comes to putting on makeup.Sometimes if there is fallout it can ruin your makeup if u do the face first &there goes your makeup look u have created &i hate that! Plus some eyeshadows can have a dud or 2 in them like elf or covergirl so its easier to get the eyes done first that way fallout is a easy clean up without having to worry about removing your other makeup &starting over again. I have not tries the essence illuminators yet but i did make a huge purchase from Ulta as a christmas gift to myself so i cannot wait to try them out.I always like what u recommend Andrea &often take your advice so thank you💗
10000% base first. Even with eyeshadow looks since mine aren’t that crazy anyway. I just don’t understand how people can do eyeshadow and manage to get foundation around without messing up the eyeshadow 🤔
Your drugstore makeup videos are the best. On a low buy here until Black Friday 🙈… I used to do complexion first then go in with eyeshadow but lately I’ve started doing my eyes first. I took this tip from Robert Welsh, he suggested going in with primer on a q-tip to swipe away any eyeshadow fallout and it’s worked great.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Primer (in the gray & white tube, NOT the red & white one). I've used this for YEARS. It has a slight tackiness, is VERY moisturizing, and imparts this ethereal, barely-there iridescence. Don't let the word 'iridescence' turn you off--it is not glittery or even shimmery in the least. It's gorgeous--and under $6 at Walmart! Side note: it's been, like, 70 degrees in Milwaukee, and we usually have our Christmas decorations up by now. Can't do it when it's this warm out!
Highly recommend the half caked tubing mascaras if you're looking for a new mascara! I love the ultimate and the heights!

I use to start with my eyes but that was before I really started going in with my face products so I do my base first foundation contour baking and stuff then I'll do my eyes and them finish my blush and bronzer and lips last

I get so envious of US make-up prices! As an example, that ELF primer is TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS in Australia. I ended up buying the LYS Beauty Gripping Serum Primer. It was only $3 more than the ELF one, but shipping was free, making it cheaper. But yeah, our "drug store" make-up sells for the same as your mid-range and sometimes even high end.

I love a good Walmart beauty department. We don't have a Walmart ...the closest one is like 40 minutes away and it has a kind of crappy beauty department. It's never stocked well at all. Fortunately there is one near where we are moving and it's got a beautiful department. It's kind of sad that Walmart is one of my reasons for being excited to move. Lol 💕

It really was one of those foundations that was difficult to match to my skin tone! It was a little bit of trial and error but I would say it dries about a shade darker than what it looks like when you apply it so keep that in mind! Also, don't necessarily go by the number because I wear 30 but I think 20 is darker so go by the swatches online!

Rimmel Exaggerate waterproof eyeliner in Rich Brown! I like the formula better than Patrick Ta; although Deep Bronze is a beautiful color.

I happen to like your brows. The shade was just a tad softer. But you see them in person. But they look good in the vid.
I don't understand for the life of me why did discontinued that makeup eraser pen! It was so handy! I always do my base first. I always apply a powder so I like to dust some in my lashes & brows for a fuller look. The uoma by Sharon c badder boom volumizing mascara is amazing! Drama in 1 swipe!

It looks like eyeshadow was taking very long time to blend.
I would say no longer than 5 minutes! I feel like that’s pretty fast but everything takes longer when I’m talking.
