Filming wildlife HANDHELD at 560mm! | DJI Ronin S & GH5 “Miniflex”

- Wildlife Cinematography and Filmmaking changed with the introduction of the long lens gimbal. Prior to Planet Earth in 2004 it was really hard to keep a long lens stable while moving the camera, but with the introduction of large gimbals like the Cineflex, GSS and Shotover natural history films were able to move with the animals.
These systems are very expensive so I’ve come up with a much cheaper solution that allows filming with a long lens on a gimbal.
This is only part 1 I’ve got loads more I want to try to improve this setup. Consider subscribing to see more.

I still look forward to the part 2 :)
Just found your channel Ben. Loving it so far. I also fiddle with some DIY wildlife rigs so this really interests me. Subscribed for future videos.
Glad you liked it! I Think it’s worth sharing my knowledge - the more wildlife filmmakers the better!
@@BenTutton absolutely.
Excellent as always fella! Fascinating watch, looking forward to part 2 :)
Cheers Matt. I’m not sure about it. boring, bad exposure, shocking audio, not great light… I could go on!
But I finally thought it was better just to get it uploaded (I’ve been sitting on it for aaaaages) glad you found it interesting.
So good!! Thanks for sharing I gotta try this!!
Amazing! need more videos like this on UA-cam. :)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video, Like and Bye from Italy :)
Thanks Peri!
I want to know how you pull focus with your Panasonic camera on the gimbal.
The ronin can control the GH5 via a wire and the thumb wheel on the ronin.
@@BenTutton Thank you
Great video! Which backpack did I see? 👀
It’s an old F-Stop Loka, I think the Ajna is the closest model now.
