Associated Reflex 14b x Quicrun 16BL30 Should Be ILLEGAL!

- In this episode, I add a Hobbywing Quicrun 16bl30 brushless esc to the Reflex 14b so I can run 3s, take it on some speed runs, then to the dirt track.
I have some more heavy-duty parts inbound so make sure you don't miss those upgrades.

I have bl60 sensored esc and 2845 hobbywing sensored motor 4500kv it is absolutely bananas I changed to 70t spur bc my track is pretty tight and not very long I also dropped down to a 14t pinion and the torque is crazy, ive got it set on punch level 5 and it still will pop a wheelie if you nail it, I wish the motor mount was better but it's still the best small track rc I have
Oh I should have mentioned I have the truggy not the buggy

Yup, seems there has been a shift to smaller rcs. I think the plethora of small-scale RCs on, say, Momazon, has dictated what some of the longer standing companies are producing.

It's a 25mm fan that I stuck with tape between the servo and motor (where the receiver was). It's plugged into the receiver's aux port.
I got the one with the yellow paint it's such a nice paying job I bought one like yours so I didn't tear up the original agama model
I'm going to pick that body set up, too. Need it to get the stickers for the white wing 😮

What up bigbristv!! I have the same esc in my grom. It burned out in the first 2 weeks. Keep your receipt and package label. Just incase / warranty.

@@bigbristvi was running it on my granite grom, quicrun 2435 4500kv on the stock battery. 2s 1400 30c

I just found that TA releases a *new* Reflex 14B kit in May - can't wait to get my hands on one and add decent electronics & metal gears! Btw where do you get the uprades from? Can't find metal gears so far.
Got the parts from Amain. Either direct from the site of their ebay store.

@NUeB_RCFPV I'm not sure if you're looking for the internal gears to be metal but the ones I ordered are the ring and pinion gears in metal.
Last time i was into RC was when nitro was king and before the electric revolution. Im thinking about jumping back in with one of these little guys to compliment my Muggy.

i wonder how the drivetrain will hold 3s, some guys have issues w the 14MT spur gear , but its not the same as the T and B spur
I'm already having issues due to the way it mounts in. Been looking for a solution. About to open her up again right now...
Maybe the 14 truggy wheels and tires would help it backflip. Not that I’d be backflipping an associated or anything.
You know, I got it out there and suddenly I wanted to drive responsibly. This seems like a grown man's little buggy. And as such I will be doing further upgrades 😁

Bro, I KNOW! I looked up the dimensions to compare before I ordered it to make sure it would fit. Exactly the same. But when I put them side by side...😶🫨🫢😅
I think HW does these rebrands but limits stuff, maybe due to cost or whatever. Same thing with Spektrum escs.

Only change from stock that contributed to speed was the Hobbywing esc allowing me to run 3S. Amazing, right?

Yes, it comes with an 1800mah 2s lipo (for the rtr version) so going up to 3s and then more mah an c gives it punch!
