I guarantee you this game is going to be one of the best selling games this year and next year and will wash the floor with Ghost with sales and even Metacritic score. I'll even pin this comment and come back and if I'm wrong I'll own it.
They gotta update the actual stealth mechanics. AC's stealth has never matched Spinter Cell in its quality. Make going into shadows matter, make the sound you make actually matter. Hell, MGS5 did stealth better and still does it better than anything AC has done recently. Do like that the map is smaller than Origins. And honestly I couldn't care less if Yasuke was actually titled as a samurai or not irl. How many times has the series had real life figures who obviously did not work with some elite assassins guild? The only thing that's really been accurate have been the years you're in, the level of detail in the cities, and who you interact with. Remember how Socrates was wealthy in Odyssey? He was broke as fuck throughout his life. Died without a coin to his name. Da Vinci did not make weapons for assassins. George Washington did find a magical sphere that drove him insane in an alternate timeline. People getting pressed no reason.
Ubisoft subscription is going to be a good option for me later this year: Prince of Persia, star wars outlaws & assassin's Creed. Plus the backlog of DLC available for other titles
Cautiously excited for Assassin’s Creed. Like Greg, I loved Odyssey, but I haven’t loved what I played of Valhalla, maybe I need to go back and play more. That said, I immediately love the setting of Shadow, and I’m glad we’re finally getting the setting that fans have been clamoring for. On another note, I love Barrett in most of the content he’s on, but I’ve noticed lately that he chimes in more than anyone else during Games Daily when he’s behind the cameras, and it often interrupts the flow of the show, especially when Greg and Blessing are hosting. I mean no disrespect to him, just wanted to point out something that’s been bothering me as a viewer who watches/listens for the news and commentary largely based off of who’s hosting
it took me a few attempts to get into Valhalla. it's just so extra, and the stories it tells are mostly very dry and not very exciting, aside of some fun and odd side stories, kinda like modern Fallout in that regard.

I don't like the split of main characters, hope I can just play as one (or 1 most of the time). Splitting into 2 characters is a bad idea for Ubi, as they have difficulty often just to write 1 good one. I will probably love one over the other, so everything with the one I don't like is going to feel like a choir and I'm not going to have a strong attachement to any of them. When I'll see gameplay, i'll make a better idea of it.
There is an article on Xbox wire that explains the split. You will be able to freely change between them in the open world except for personal quests tied to that character and specific missions where you play as both and Ubi switches for you
Season 2 of TLOU….wondering if we really start in that 5 year gap and build up to the moment. If we’re splitting this into 2 seasons for pt2 I hope they figure out a way to show the dual protagonist gameplay and switching back and forth without ‘Ellie episode’ ‘Abby episode’ ‘bottle episode’ repeat. The game works because you play it and don’t want to at times and go at your own pace, idk how they translate the game that relies so heavily on your gamer brain constantly being in conflict even if the conflict is you don’t want to be playing this person in x storybeat.
I don’t guys, I thought Bella did a good job in season 1. But I feel like seeing her do the things TLOU2 Ellie does is going to be extremely uncomfortable without a lot of creative liberties being taken.
Can someone please help me get back onto the Assassin's Creed games? I have had a hard time convincing myself to play anything since AC3. Fundamentally, I disagree with all the folks who want less of the "outside the animus" stuff. I feel like that's what made AC a franchise worth remembering in the first place. Hear me out-- there is nothing AC does that isn't done better by another franchise. Even with Shadows-- games where I get to run around as a shinobi or a samurai in pre-modern Japan during a period of upheaval are a dime a dozen. This game is not going to play better or have a better plot than Nioh or Ghost of Tsushima. What made AC standout originally was (a) the focus on cool, stylized assassinations-- which some of the major additions to the franchise don't even have anymore, and (b) a larger plotline that helped drive the story. If AC1 didn't have all the bits with the mc discovering a world of assassins and a hyper-advanced enemy that used tech to delve into the lives of people's ancestors as they track down alien artifacts in a bid to control the world... the game would not have been memorable enough to be a cornerstone of Ubisoft's ongoing catalog. But man, the second Ubisoft realized what they had, they convoluted the lore of the games to such an extent, I think second only to Kingdom Hearts. So, I get why people are hoping that there's very little animus stuff in the new game-- Ubisoft has consistently screwed that part up almost every time since the first couple of games... But that's also why I struggle to get back into the AC franchise. Why would I play Valhalla when I could be playing God of War Ragnarok? Why would I play Shadows when I could be playing Ghost of Tsushima or Sekiro? Help me get it, please.
Has Greg not been paying attention to the direction Ubisoft is taking with AC or am I missing something. Is this not a smaller story with Hexe and part of the Infinity hub?
Wonder how the dual protagonists stuff works in this. I found it bogged down in Syndicate (the one AC game I didn’t finish). Especially compared to GTA V. Now with Spider Man 2 doing it so seamlessly they really have to make it smooth and fun… Still, I’m in.

In a franchise in which the setting is as much a character as any person is and we always play as somebody from that region. I’m not anti-woke and find issues with that term in general, but guess it’s anti-woke to ask for Asian male representation. I guarantee you this game is going to be one of the best selling games this year and next year and will wash the floor with Ghost with sales and even Metacritic score. I'll even pin this comment and come back and if I'm wrong I'll own it.
If you think AC Shadows won't destroy Ghost of Tsushima in sales then you're an idiot, simple
@@Mmachine88 Sales your probably right because it's multi plat but Metacritic score it'll be way below Ghost lol.
@henrysmith5343 lmao you do realize majority of AC games get reviewed well right ? Ghost has like an 82 meta lol
"would have done better"? it's not even out. none of us know how it will do yet.

Man we need a Tim fashion podcast
Im sorry for bless miss information for yusk being samurai. He was just retainer aka servant
Barrett’s been bothering me for a long time with that. He acts like he’s one of the hosts
it took me a few attempts to get into Valhalla. it's just so extra, and the stories it tells are mostly very dry and not very exciting, aside of some fun and odd side stories, kinda like modern Fallout in that regard.
Listen, everyone. Just wait till june when we get some sort of in gane look properly
Blessing looking like a young Tony Rich from The Tony Rich Project!
Not even close. Not all black people look alike.
I haven't been excited for an AC game since Brotherhood!
Black Myth is gonna be GOTY
Im here Bless... you and Greg are just spitting out FACTS about RDR2 boring and if you want proof goo look the game of the year awards and tell me how many it won from relevant sites and critiques
The real crime is how much they are asking for this crap.. It'll be half price in 3 months
I just want to be an actual Ninja.
Whys it so hard to be an actual ninja
Naoe is a ninja…
I would’ve been excited for this years ago, Ubisoft took too long to set this in Japan
Sooo..... because it took long you're not into it ?? that's wild but the same people will claim they were hyped for Rise of the Rosin lmao.
@@Mmachine88 It's not hard to believe because it's Ubisoft we're talking about here. They've been a shit company for some time now. And been putting out crap games in recent years. So do you honestly expect them to all suddenly turn it around because of this game. And what makes you so confident that they could?
@@lucasjames5187 I mean dude for the most part every flag ship AC games ahs reviewed well and sold well. You're delusional if you think they're bad games. You want not be into them, but to say they're bad games is frankly just stupid.
@@Mmachine88 First of all I'm talking about Ubisoft as whole. And how they go about their games. Not just assassin's creed. I mean, if you like a lot the assassin's creed games then that's fine. The last assassin's creed game that I did like was Odyssey. But don't sit there and act like Ubisoft is one of the goats when it comes to game companies either.
Leaks talked about the split protagonists a while ago.
You said you hope you can play as just one and im telling you its not gonna happen.
There is an article on Xbox wire that explains the split. You will be able to freely change between them in the open world except for personal quests tied to that character and specific missions where you play as both and Ubi switches for you
Anyone know what that weird tiny sound is when someone talks?
Season 2 of TLOU….wondering if we really start in that 5 year gap and build up to the moment. If we’re splitting this into 2 seasons for pt2 I hope they figure out a way to show the dual protagonist gameplay and switching back and forth without ‘Ellie episode’ ‘Abby episode’ ‘bottle episode’ repeat. The game works because you play it and don’t want to at times and go at your own pace, idk how they translate the game that relies so heavily on your gamer brain constantly being in conflict even if the conflict is you don’t want to be playing this person in x storybeat.
Naoe is pronounced nah-oh-ey. Nah as in 'nah man', oh as in 'oh shit', ey as in rhymes with hey.
thanks
CANT WAIT!!!!!
I only play because I’m invested in modern time
Justice for rd2 slander
Now with Spider Man 2 doing it so seamlessly they really have to make it smooth and fun…
Still, I’m in.
Love the song solo 😂
One thing Ubisoft will never do, is make a bad trailer.
Just as of today, people are going rampant on Wikipedia changing facts about Yasuke, thinking no one would notice!! 😂😂
Wikipedia is not an actual source, no historian uses Wikipedia for research....not a single one.... Lol
@@MrBjax9000 Doesn't matter, facts should not be altered without providing citation from where that information was taken from... That is all!!!
@@KingJohnMichael Like who exactly, Jada Pinkett Smith's mum!! All the information is propped by the media, without any evidence.
@@KingJohnMichael Like who exactly, Jada Pinkett Smith's mum... It's all propped up by the media, the same way they tried to sell that Cleopatra was black without providing actual evidence, when factually she was Greek!!!
Funny how everyone in the comments feels entitled to tell everyone how they should feel about a trailer or how to spend their money.
Don’t like it, don’t buy it. Stop telling others what to do.
So glad it’s gonna be another sprawling RPG type AC
Assassin’s Creed needs the modern day.
Fantastic trailer.
Are we forgetting that Ubisoft is the abuse company?
What if this game is co-op?
It's not.
@@symonheiloguu Damn it! Sigh..still looks cool tho
idk if it is, but Far Cry has had co-op, and AC has had multiplayer in the past, so it wouldn't surprise me if they add co-op at some point.
I already see the "Anti-Woke" crowd in the comment section. I'm not really surprised anymore when one of the main characters is black and the other is a female. 🙃🙃🙃 I can't wait to see gameplay probably in June (during not E3 weekend).
In a franchise in which the setting is as much a character as any person is and we always play as somebody from that region. Arab, Native American, an Egyptian etc.. it is not unreasonable to want to play as a Japanese samurai. This isn't cause he is black, it's cause he isn't Japanese. I'd have the same energy if he was white. Please don't label people because you disagree with them.
I’m not anti-woke and find issues with that term in general, but guess it’s anti-woke to ask for Asian male representation. Asian men are the least represented, and now there’s finally a game set in Asia where they can be represented, and they’re erased. Guess woke benefits people except for Asian men
@@cynical8464 Your statement is valid and reasonable in which I can understand completely, but a good portion of people are actually only mad because they are forced to play as either a woman or a black man
@@kingpanther424 racist people are gonna be racist and that sucks. But that doesn’t invalidate people with real criticisms. Asian men are already severely underrepresented in video games and western media. We finally get a game set in Asia, and the protagonist isn’t an Asian man, in a setting where it would fit.
@@dekamaster100Asian men severely underrepresented in video games? Huh? You’ve never played a Japanese game?
It just blows my mind how so many people will trash Ubisoft for their terrible practices, including how painfully average most of the Assassin's Creed games have been, yet forget all of that and get hyped when a new Assassin's Creed is announced... without gameplay. This is why they keep getting away with it.
I am happy that we are finally getting a main title game with both a woman and a black man, and that it’s both a samurai and ninja game, but it’s 4 years too late.
For some stupid and incredibly shortsighted reason they never greenlit an AC main title game set in feudal Japan! Even though it has literally been the most requested setting for the past 13 years! Either they hated making money or they hated Asians, maybe both.
It was literally all just ego on ubisofts part. They literally said “that would be too obvious” not realizing it DOESNT matter what’s obvious!! What matters is what your customers ask if you and we have been begging for this since the first trailer of the first AC game. Then Tsushima comes along and not only gives us what we want but also creates one of the best modern combat systems in history and it’s game over. I’m still excited for this game and I really want them to “nail it” because I think the narrative could do some fucking INCREDIBLE things of done right but if the gameplay isn’t there it will all be for nothing . Unfortunately Ubisoft is a French company and they followed their pride for too long making Eurocentric themed games
@@mookiestewart3776 that and their executives are misogynistic and and racist.

I don't know why they're reacting like this is the MCU X-Men trailer. It's a fine cg trailer for another Ubi assassins game. It's not that serious lol
Cool trailer but lets hope the gameplay is AT LEAST as good as Ghost of Tsushima because we will be comparing against each other.
Either way, we will be there on day one.
Sigh.
Ghosts of Tsushima is one of the best games ive ever played but Jin Sakai was a POS 😂 Bro had no soul. Dope ass game tho
What?? Jin was an amazing character and person lol wtf are you talking about??
@@mookiestewart3776 lol an amazing character? She refuses but Taka overhearing this believes this is his chance to help his role model and sneaks in last second to join Jin….blah blah blah…Taka is beheaded in front of Jin and what does Jin do? Ask Yuna to help retaliate 😭😭 Let alone the fact that he helped introduce poison which splintered the Shogun and inflicted widespread killing in Tsushima.

Its a cool cgi trailer. But its just that. Its not going to look or play like that. Im not sure why theres so much hype.
Hard pass for me. I am sick and tired of the forced diversity crap. They should have used a Japanese warrior as the main protagonist. They took away the one chance to have a Japanese / Asian man as the lead in an AC game.
The one chance? They'll never stop making AC games 🤣.

A BLACK SAMURAI IN HISTORIC JAPAN, YEAH THATS WHAT WE WANT
remember AC Revelation - AC3, those were the days when diversity in a video game made sense and was not a pandering...
it all started with AC Origin let's make a black person voice an Egypt people, it like making Cleopatra black.
in AC Shadows main male character has a dark skin and Likely to be from africa so it's not even accurate.
so character like Sanada Yukimura - Date Masamune every Anime fan knows are not in the game...
i guess Ubisoft looked at Final Fantasy 16 and said we will stick it to those japanese developers by adding black samari in historic japan...
Wait what are you saying exactly lol why would an Egyptian not be voiced by a black person and are you purple with green hair just wondering
cool story bro
Oh yes! Kind of funny doing what they do best. Being fake and pretending to like something.
I don't think they're being fake...they love all that representation stuff....black and a woman. Only thing that would make them more hype is if they made them both gay.
@@wkadalie They are fake. And let's say what you said is true. They only like a certain type of representation. Not representation as whole. They are not genuine people like they come off of being. And I could give you more examples of that. But that would be a lot more writing.
