I enjoyed my 10 days in Iran on my bike, the money is crazy but only spent 300 us dollars for everything fuel food hotels. As a visitor even the toll roads were free, many of the coffee shops would not take any money, they would say to me you are a guest in my country welcome, amazing people

Nice! I'm proud of the guy at the gas station! You gave him 10,000 Tomans and he simply gave you back 1,000 Tomans so you paid 9,000 Tomans although it was 9,200 Tomans for the fuel! I mean it's nothing but he basically pays that small 200 Tomans from his pocket :)! Sad that the economy is so bad back in Iran these days! Excited to see your other videos!

Never fall to extremis. Politics and religion are made by humans. The interpretation that the human mind give to both is the problem, not them. Politics are not bad on themselves. They crafted our society from cavemen to modern age. Religion as well dictates the very basic of our morality. Without both we'll be animals

@@_d-- I agree but we have to consider this:. Any religion that makes people hate each other is a bad religion and those exist too. Mankind chooses using his reasoning capabilities. Some guys reason but others ...not at all. These irrational people makes a very bad name for good religions. Politics are good when they work for the improvement of people and countries. But most of the time , the "human selfishnes" makes politics sick. As you said extremism is always bad.

Lived in Iran with my family when I was 6 and 7 years old while the Shaw was still in power. It amazed me that the women kept their last names and were independent. I hadn’t experienced anything except women in traditional marriages in North America that worked in the home. We lived in a very small town in BC and I was very young. We left during the start of the revolution. I am almost 50 now and would like to back and see what it is like. I think motor biking might be a good way to do it. I need a bit more experience on a bike, and then I will start planning international adventures! Thanks for the inspiration Noraly!

Your rides in Middle-East remind of the years I spent in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I rode a honda 400 and an RM 25 Suzuki. How I survived I haven't a clue! I joined your channel when you were changing your routes in Mexico heading up to Baja California. I enjoy your videos. As always, happy trails.

I still go "old school" with accommodations here in the US and Canada. What that got me in Newfoundland was the Bridal Suite, since it was a Wednesday and the other rooms were all booked. Got to use the hot tub...yay me. Stay safe out there.

So looking forward to this trip through a country we know so little about in the U.S. The Anthony Bourdain episode in Iran was a wonderful venture into the people, food and cultural life. Noraly, you, of course, are focused on the natural beauty and the trip itself. I began with Season 5, Southern Africa, and was immediately hooked. Season 1 is my second series. I have not missed a single moment of any episode, although, Noraly, when you ride on a mountain pass at the edge of a sheer drop, I have to turn away for a half-second,, shouting , "No!" 🙂 I'm liking how the episodes are getting longer in Season 1, beginning with Malaysia and Oman, with more engagement of the people, after the first few dozen, which I assume were a learning experience. As a writer and writing teacher, I see the difference between a report of what happens and giving the reader/viewer and experience of what happens. You are an artist, and vlogging is a great new art form. I'm curious about the change, when asked where you are from, from "Holland" in Season 1 to "Netherlands" in Season 5. It's not important, but I wonder why the change was made. More people globally know the name Netherlands, maybe? And maybe Holland is not used so much anymore. Next season, really confuse people and say, "I'm Dutch."

I rode my Transalp through Iran in 97 - north to south on my way to India. Such lovely people! I was given a ton of pomegranates. I didn’t realize I could drink the water until I was about to leave, which is why I could never find bottled water, only rose water. Shop owners looked at me as though I was crazy when I asked for bottled water. If you see any army convoys don’t try to overtake them as I did - they took my passport and detained me for a few scary hours. Enjoy Iran 🇮🇷

Miss Blue-eyes from Bandar Abbas you took the central, desert route, the western-route takes you over Zagros mountain and beautiful prairies and Tulip fields, ofcourse the central route takes you to Shiraz and Perspolis that are must-see, but north of Kerman and shiraz are all barren central desert.
