I haven't even watched advertisements since like 2004. I stopped buying cable back then, and I've always ran adblock plus-- I just never see ads and it feels so weird if you drop into someone's house and they still watch cable TV with ads constantly blasted on their screen. It's so strange that we used to accept that as normal.
Same, I think the last time I watched network television with any regularity was 2006 or so, I'm adblocked to the hilt and just don't see what most of us would readily call ads. I did actually quit my job recently. After almost 8 years of working for my fat boss and getting nothing in return other than a check, I had enough. Now I have time to build custom bluetooth speakers and tend to my garden. My groceries bills are significantly cheaper now because I have time to pick my green beans, cucumbers, zucchini, tomatoes, peppers and sweet corn 👌

The entire way we handle mental health issues is bollocks, because we look at them as an issue first and foremost with the individual, rather than the individual's environment. When people look forward to the future, their morale and behaviors reflect it. When people have a dim view of the future, their morale and behaviors reflect it. If there are too many people in the latter group, they will drag the entire system down with them every single time. The solution is to fix the environment so that we don't cross the point of no return. The success of humanity depends directly on the morale of humanity. Natural disasters aside, our collective morale will directly manifest our destiny. Obesity, depression, and suicide rates are the first warnings of a collapsing empire.

I have a friend like me and we are planning to buy a large house together next year while it is affordable and get that mortgage paid off asap so the banks can't take it off us. There will be enough room to accommodate our own families and have our own space so we can have 4 people paying in and possibly get lodgers or other friends or family living with us if things get bad. The best way to ensure you and your family have the best life possible in the coming years is to own land and property out right.
