- Apart from the 959, this would have to be my favourite Tamiya RC kit!!
So detailed, and amazing mechanical setup, the Mountain Rider ticks all the boxes for me!\

Tamiya Incorporated (株式会社タミヤ, Kabushiki gaisha Tamiya) is a Japanese manufacturer of plastic model kits, radio-controlled cars, battery and solar powered educational models, sailboat models, acrylic and enamel model paints, and various modelling tools and supplies. The company was founded by Yoshio Tamiya in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1946.
The company has gained a reputation among hobbyists of producing models of outstanding quality and accurate scale detail. The company's philosophy is reflected directly in its motto: "First in quality around the world". Tamiya's metal moulds are produced from plans with the concept of being "easy to understand and build, even for beginners". Even the box art is consistent with this throughout the company. Tamiya has been awarded the Modell des Jahres (Model of the Year) award, hosted by the German magazine ModellFan.
Products currently commercialized by Tamiya include (toy and collectibles): scale plastic model cars, aircraft, military vehicles, motorcycles, figurines, radio-controlled cars, trucks, and tanks. Tamiya also produces materials and tools, including enamel paints, acrylic paints, airbrushes, aerosol paint, and marker pens.

Yes to build videos.
Yes on the build video, spending a ton of time in the transmission.
Builds are a definite yes.
Model making is in my future. I have never seen a huge kit, outside plastic figure making.
Hell yes a build vid would be epic! As long as filming it won't make it take 10 times longer.. Time lapse with a few pauses here and there would be awesome!!
Epic kits those.
It is a great looking truck and it should be a great one to spend a few days building! Enjoy the build!
Yes there is a issue with flickering, possibly from the fluorescent light? Have fun building it. It’s a real shame Tamiya has changed so much in the last 45 years. I drove the bruiser when it was new now choose crawlers with slightly newer technology. Thanks for sharing this video. Are far as making a build video that’s great but many of use would fast forward anyway.
Yep…always wanted the Bruiser but I really like this kit. Maybe one day.
I'm glad I've got one
I have a restored Mountaineer that’s a shelf queen, it’s surprising how different it is from the rere. A lot more than I thought it would be.
Nice I haven't seen this one and nice it has bearings and lots of metal parts. I would love to see a build video I think that would be good to see how Tamiya pro does it 👍🏻
Brother, Stanbridges Hobbies - I lived most of my life near by and so sorry to see it close!
Nice kit. I would be very interested in a build video 😊🤝 Sorry, one thing, it seems some of your videos (probably the one in basement) are flickering; maybe I'm alone with that issue ? 🤔🤝
A build vid would be good especially the gearbox, suspension and body....well all of it really lol! I am probably never getting one of these any time soon lol bit rich for my bank balance! Epic Tamiya though this is but must confess l like the Bruiser more!
One thing mate you need to sort that light flicker!😉
Cheers Mate... I'll have a look at that flicker, musyt be an old fluro light...
Love mine 👍
Take it over the bruiser any day! Got mine shipped from rc jazz in Hong Kong to England for about £500... bargain 👍
Shipping must have been expensive! It's an awesome kit, well worth it!
@@tamiya_australia £550 ish to my door! Including tax and shipping 👌 probably 4 years ago
A live stream of the build if thats something you can do would be great..
Even if it takes several live streams..
