Solid tip. My gym goes to 140s right now, but I might get strong enough to need this at some point.

I do like these types of videos, although as an engineer, this one points out just how dumb we can be because a I’ve never thought of this! Thanks for the tip. You’re awesome Brian!

(Mostly commenting for algorithm. These short videos gotta hurt, but I appreciate an efficiency.)

I've been doing this since you showed it in one of your videos a while back and it works awesome for rows. I don't think I'm going to try this for pressing movements though cause I'm pretty sure one will fall and hit me in the face and that does not sound very awesome...
Love the programs and videos by the way, just finished my second run of the Darkhorse program and have never felt better.

Thanks, I can start using 90 pounds again(with more weight).
Btw I saw Eric Bugenhagen using cables with dumbbell to make it heavier. That could be another option.

On a different topic, I am now at a gym that has a Swiss (multi-grip) Barbell. I've never used one of those before. Any chance of you making a video about that bar, what it is / is-not good for, any other tips for incorporating that bar into workouts?
    Thanks!

A better way to do it is to have a pair of dumbbells piggybacking the heavier one.
A pair of 22lbs (10kg) are my favorites because, together, they are roughly the same width as the handle.
This way, the pair of piggyback dumbbells rest securely on the heavier dumbbell and don't even touch my hand throughout the exercise.

The piggyback dumbbells better be hexagonal for them to stay put.
The heavier dumbbell below them can be hexagonal or circular; it doesn't matter.

Great advice as always Brian. But I put the upper dumbbell at the back of my arm instead of front like you showed it in the videos because the upper one compresses my arm. Do you think that makes a difference?
