    I really like the fact that they switch back and forth between Lead Guitar and Rhythm Guitar.

  • @bethgmc

    Genuinely now, how do they come up with these riffs? They're so technical, yet grooving and have ridiculous time signature/tempo changes yet somehow it all works?!
    I need to know their secret on how they write music

      Its called sweep picking. Instead of picking every note you slide the pick up and down the string you are on hence the name sweep picking. There's different methods of how you sweep too and that's one technique

    I still can't decide if I enjoy this band or not. I have never heard this song in the original mix w/ vocals, but just from this guitar play-through it makes me think that the guitarists heard Structures "Divided By" album for the first time and decided to write a ton of riffs and cram them altogether into one amalgamation of technical prowess; which does more to show their lack of restraint and musically than it does to impress. Just to clarify: I love "Divided By" by Structures and wasn't in any way trying to disrespect that album's musicianship in comparison.

As most of YT live videos are crap,you can't really hear a thing.

      +Dawid Malak My guess is they use Axe-FX's for the different guitar patches to play each part. The glitchy sounding parts are dissonant tapping used by unbypassing the notes through a whammy effect.

    • @TheUrbanSlang
      @TheUrbanSlang 8 років тому

      +Dawid Malak The specific guitars are a type of Gibson (the black and gold one) and the other is an Ibanez Black Mick Thomson Seven (The crazy looking black one) but Johnathan Wright is right, the glitchy sound is used through Axe-FX.
