I remember meeting Waheed Murad in 1982 at Mideast Hospital, which is now Ocean Mall in Karachi. I was admitted to the hospital for surgery and was only 12 years old. Everyone in the hospital was fond of me. A nurse at Mideast Hospital insisted that I should meet Waheed and took me to his room, where he was lying on his bed wearing a hospital gown. We met, and he said 'Salam' to me. I then asked him, 'Who are you?' He replied, 'I am Waheed Murad.' Later on, I saw a tall actor named Mohammed Ali also come to visit him.
