Head-on collision, both cars doing 100+, gigantic explosion, parts strewn everywhere, Vette is a burned-out shell of a car. Driver completely intact with no apparent injuries except his clothes came off and now he's dead. Gotta love 80s movies.
It was the movie starring the sons/brothers of those other better known actors. (We forget back then Evelin Esteves was better known than his brother.) And they all did a great job.

If his brother, Ron Howard, was involved with a film Clint always got a part in it, usually some small part but if you look he’s almost always somewhere in the film.

It's hundreds of these types of ( come back and revenge ) movies some are good some are boring. I just like revenge movies like "Death wish" , and most of Clint Eastwood movies, modern day, "LAW abided Citizens" " V for Vandetta ". The list goes on.
Almost 40 years later and the turbo is still one of the coolest concept cars ever created. If they mass marketed it today, it would do well. Yo, Elon. Heads up!
Had a VHS tape as a kid. The Wraith, The Kindred. Watched them all the time. Love them both. Edit: tape 2 had The Exorcist and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Needless to say, horror movies don't bother me in the slightest. I'll never understand "screaming" while watching a movie :/
That’s a damn nice jacket Packard had. In the 80s EVERYTHING WAS TURBO! In the 2000s the Turbo Interceptor would be pulled over constantly for illegal tint. Cops get really jealous when your tint is as dark as theirs !

They don't make movies like this anymore live action stunts real explosions and car crashes but also tied it in with a interesting story and a cool soundtrack.
Filmed here in and around Tucson. The swimming hole scenes are Sabino Canyon. My buddy was an EMT back in high school, he knew the guys in the ambulance. The one dared the other to hit the siren as they were pulling away, wasn’t part of the script. That was up on Mt Lemmon highway.
If you watched the entire movie you would understand there was an... "Other worldly" element to the show. It wasn't JUST bad effects. Although there were a lot of bad effects. Lots and lots of bad effects. Lots of bad acting and bad effects. And then there was Ron Howard's brother. Oh brother. Have you ever seen a movie where he added to the movie or show he was in? The guy makes a living 'existing' in T.V. shows and movies. A job I would love to have, but probably wouldn't do as good as Clint Howard. :)
a couple years ago a Wraith fan tracked down some of the films shooting locations. he found the spot of the red Shelby crash. he thought he found the radio from it in a bush! he also found the police roadblock site. there he found a fender from one of the cruisers!
I've always hated the stance of the interceptor but it's definitely my favorite car. I've been putting parts together for the last couple years and am going to try my hand at an aluminum bodied interceptor with twin turbo bbc power.

This is one of those gloriously bad 80's movies that you just can't turn off when you find it playing. It's too bad the interceptor design never made it to dodge's lineup. I do think it would make a great EV sports car, if they would re-visit the design though.
The M4S is especially cool once you notice it, at least in part, influenced the shape of super-/hypercars to come in the '90s, and even now. With as crazy as Dodge is getting of late, I think they could revive this rig (with a little modernization, of course).

Even stick shifts were a mystery back then, Corvette was going up and down Drive, and Neutral.

As dark as "The Crow" was, I can't help it lost the full opportunity to bring what it wanted to the big screen due to Brandon Lee's death.
