- -This movies is about my Bikepacking adventure of cycling some sections of Arctic Post Road which is located more north than Arctic Circle. Here i cycled the demanding MTB route with my classic touring bike, which was heavily loaded 😅
Arctic Post Road MTB Route follows the old Kopenhagen-Alta post road from the village of Äkäslompolo, in the Western Lapland in Finland, to the city of Alta in Norway, at the Arctic Ocean. I cycled some sections of this route mixed and like always, I wondered around and got out of the trail also. The area is totally wild and untouched, I didn't see anyone for 2 weeks!
Note: I highly recommend to cycle the route in Autumn, since the conditions are better and there is no mosquitoes 😁

You might not remember me, but I a Chilean who also lived in FInland for one year and who started following you right when you began this endaovour some years ago. I followed all your Instagram posts and youtube videos. We even shared some discussions on Instagram and planned that if you ever biked in the Chilean patagonia I would join you. I don't what are you plans in Germany, however if you had time I would love to meet you in person either in Frankfurt or you might even think on visiting me in Leipzig. Really nice video (as always :p ) I just cannot imagine how hard it must have been, but you really seems to enjoy it when it's hard ! it reminds me when we crossed the Cairngorms in Scotland but it was only two days on the trail and those were the hardest two days in my life (physically speaking) so hats off for your performance !

Hi, i did it beafor i went to East Africa. I don't remember the exact month 🙈, but it was summer. I belive the good time to cycle this route is early Autumn. If you go after midsummer it will be a loooots of mosquitoes 😅

Not sure with those conditions and mosquitoes that I would call the trip enjoyable.
For me it was an amazing adventure. I wiuld do it again. But definatly it is not for every one. 😊

how about 2 layers of mosquito head nets? i use mine all the time and they're much better than insects in your eyes and mouth
