The Bartender at the Marquis knew Michael was Polly's son and didn't say anything until well into the fight. If he had said something earlier maybe no fight and he'd still have a bar.
The fight didn't last that long and you can't always see whose fighting during a pub brawl. Chance are he didn't fully know who was who until that point.
@@Connor-ONeill no he knew but thought that polly wouldn't let Michael out and about without a blinder who can fight he probs thought they would win. but then he only said it once Michael was about to get stabbed because he knew if it happened in his pub everyone present was gonna get blinded or killed and probs the bar keeps family aswell even if michael survived the stabbing so he wanted to avoid that at all costs
Quid is slang for British pounds FYI Campbell is actually from Northern Ireland, which unlike the Republic of Ireland, is loyal to the Crown (still Irish, I suppose but just making a clear distinction between the two)
Arthur and johns whole thing is that the bartender should of never even let the fight happen to begin with , stopping it after it went on for a while isn’t enough , he should of never even let it happen since Michael is Polly’s son
So they actually brought the guy into the bar who started the fight. A lot of people thought the guy they burned was the bartender, but it was actually the racist guy. They tracked him down and brought him back. (sets an example for other pubs. hence “we did it for the good name of the company”) Unfortunately the bar owner lost his bar, but he knew the risk of having a local drunk mess with a Peaky. Probably a usual customer and was afraid of offending him and it cost him his pub. Very in depth scene
Shoot, your reactions to the show are so much fun. This episode really kicks things into gear, doesn’t it. Story wise, character wise. I noticed especially in this episode how much more dynamic the dialogue between characters is in this season versus the previous ones. In one short scene we are dropped right into the critical part of a situation/conversation that pivots and advances the story forward by miles. Without being awkward. The characters are so well written and the acting so sensitive that we fall in love with a new character sometimes in minutes.
when you peep that when she said she sent his name to the war office and said she had friends there, tommy said the same thing to grace when he reached out to his friends in dublin
The red pattern on Erza's chair looks like she has elf ears! Or horns, making her a sexy devil. Great job, guys, I like your reactions to the Peaky Fookin' Blinders, so thanks for letting me join you.

Y'all are hilarious. I'm finally binge watching your Peaky Blinders reactions.
hahahaha the horse ride comment had my lungs tied haha still laughing now....giddie up..hyah hyahhhh ("gallopinging" sound)
The entire scene with Thomas and May at the bar is great because Tommy is so goddamn petty, he makes it a point to be an asshole but always with class
You guys forgot that Isiah said they don't serve black people at the Marquis, so the bar owner definitely deserved it too
Ah. Don’t remember that. So thank you
@@YaBoyRockLee my pleasure ! Love your reactions
@@samya.350 thank you Sam A 🙌🏽
Campbell is from Northern Ireland, which is why he works for the British. The IRA were the ones fighting for separation from Great Britain.
