What makes jayce and Viktor's relationship sadder is that they are no alternate timelines where both of them are happy without meeting each other. If they never met, Viktor could die from his illness, and jayce could never create hextech. Their 'happiest' timeline is the one where Viktor almost ends humanity, and they both sacrifice themselves to save it.
There is also theorys about him dying on the explosion, but since he's experiment resulted on the death of a "bystander" he wouldn't get "a slap on the wrist" so he mostly would get banished for good this time
That's not really sad; it's more so just stupid. Writers really need to hop off this "only timeline / only way" nonsense. The entire idea of multiple / infinite timelines necessitates that things work out in different ways. Purely according to chance, there would be timelines where Heimerdinger convinces Viktor to step down. Or there would be timelines where Jayce was a girl with a different name. And there would be *plenty* of timelines where Jayce and Viktor figured out Hextech but Viktor didn't try to take over the world. That's how it works, by definition.
@@AstaraBrightwing Sure, there are timelines where they are nothing like the characters we're talking about. The key aspects of their personalities would always lead them here if they were given a choice, it was their obsessions. In a timeline where they never developed their obsessions, they're not the same people anymore so who cares?
Something worth noting: The chair Sevika takes at the Council is the Kirraman chair. Caitlyn surrendered her house's seat on the Council and gave it to whoever Zaun elects to the seat instead.
Which is an INSANELY cool way to end her arc as a character! Because if you remember, Cassandra Kirraman's biggest legacy was the gift of clean air to Zaun... which Caitlyn at her absolute lowest point in Act 2, took away and weaponized against the entire populace, among all the other acts of state violence under her command. Surrendering her seat to Zaun - or to Sevika specifically, whatever it may be - it's a massive act of personal redemption and restorative justice. And I think it's a beautiful way of taking her back to her original values and roots from season 1, the Caitlyn we met first, before she suffered her mother's loss and lost her head to the grief and anger.
I love how Viktor basically wins, he captures all the big players, he's removed Jayce, Vi, Jinx, Mel, and then some Zaun street kid who he's never met zooms in on a flying surfboard, throws an artifact from another dimension and saves the world.
@@Tm-dn9ob Its a very light teaser of some possible ideas they've said. Some may end up in the show but it wasnt a plot promise. It was intended more for the league audience (albeit with heavy arcane vibes).
The purple from Jinx's Time Speed in the explosion, the vents on the side, yep, she's definitely alive and on that blimp in the final scene. Just like she always wanted.
@@Trockenmatt yup, they still made it ambigious, even the voice actress (who i just found out is the Fallout girl) voices her. she said she doesn't truly know but all of it points to that she lived.
In season one Powder/Jinx says "one day im gonna ride in one those things" when looking at a airship/blimp, and it ends with a airship/blimp flying away. I think shes alive.
Ekko's a real one for giving up the universe of his dreams so he could save everyone. Saving the world with the power of autosave! He sure lived up to his title of "The Boy Savior."
Yup it's League canon, his race, the Yordles, don't die for good, they "respawn" in their home universe Bandle City, which is in a different plane of existence.
@@Ria-vj3ch afaik, they just respawn as they were. Idk how much of their memories they keep though, so that might be what Heimerdinger means when he talks about his "unusually long lifespan"
This implies that Smeech shows up in Bandlecity with no arms or legs, or something like that, and I think that's funny enough to want the Yordle thing to be true.
Please someone in the blindwave crew show them the Welcome to Noxus Cinematic trailer that released yesterday, it’s basically a trailer for the future show
It’s so sad that it’s come full circle that originally Powder got Vander killed by a monkey bomb, but now, as Jinx, she’s sacrificing herself to put down Warwick with the same bomb
"We'll show them...We will show them all..." and that you did, Riot/Fortiche...I applaud everyone who worked on this. It has officially gone down as a staple of animated history, and will be remembered for many decades to come, if not longer. You can sure as Hell bet that I'll be there for the next series, however long that'll take, and every series after. 💜
@@mimic1984 but you said it will be remembered and goes down as a staple in animated history. That hardly sounded like you were only talking about your own opinion of it. Like sure if you enjoy it why would I argue with you there. That is fully subjective.
@WolfODonnelfan I mean if the Noxus series will be good again s2 will just be an unfortunate stain on the universe and viktor as a character. I am sceptical though
I think what I appreciate the most is how grounded Arcane is. League has so many magical characters that could go way overboard and become too much to comprehend. I much prefer this approach.
“Are you still in this fight, Violet”? I could be way off but I interpreted this line as Caitlyn asking Vi if she still had the will to live, to keep going. Let me break it down, I’ll apologise in advance for the rant. Prior to episode 5 of season 2, whenever Vi was at her lowest she either had a goal or someone close to her to keep her going. She is always fighting for someone or something. When she was in prison she had the goal of reuniting with her sister. When Jinx attacked the council, Vi had the goal of confronting her sister as well as Caitlyn to lean on. When she loses both her sister and Caitlyn at the end of episode 3, for the first time in her life she was completely directionless. When Jinx comes back into her life and says that Vander needs help, Vi has a purpose again. When she loses Jinx in the final episode, she fortunately has Caitlyn to be there for her. And now even though she has Caitlyn, she doesn’t have a goal. No sister to fight or save, no father, she only has Caitlyn. Caitlyn looking at the map of the tunnels at the end, was her using her detective skills to figure out if Jinx could’ve escaped through the tunnels. I think she was also debating whether to tell Vi that information, would telling Vi about her theory help her or would it make her self destruct. For all we know Jinx could still be dead. From the conversation they have before they bang, Caitlyn knows that Violet tends to blame herself for everything bad that happens in her life, I think that’s the reason Caitlyn doesn’t tell Vi her theory. We see Violet taking Jinx’s “death” better than expected, while she does have a drink in her hand she’s not binge drinking like we’ve seen her do throughout this season. Instead she’s humming the song their mom used to sing to her and Jinx when they were little. She doesn’t her hands wrapped up like she normally does, that shows us that’s not ready for a fight like she normally is. Caitlyn is even pleasantly surprised and amused by her humming, she hasn’t seen this side of her before. Once Vi explains to Cait the relevance of the tune she was humming, Cait’s smile drops and she uses a somber tone to ask her if she’s “still in this fight”. After all Cait is worried about Vi, as for the second time in her life Vi has no goal. What is Vi’s goal now that her sister and dad are gone? Our main characters all have inner demons to face, some of them handle that well, others do not. The last time Vi lost something she handled it extremely poorly, Caitlyn knows this. Ultimately the “fight” Cait is referring to at the end is the fight to live, to keep going. At the end Vi reaffirms to Cait that she will keep going and that she’ll always be at her side: “I’m the first under your nails, cupcake. Nothings going to clean me out”. Obviously the problems with Zaun and Piltover aren’t going to be fixed overnight. Even though Seveika has a seat in the council, the other councillors are clearly bothered by her presence. The “fight” could also refer to the need to keep fighting for the ongoing peace between Zaun and Piltover. That’s my interpretation anyway. Like I said, I could be way off. I’m interested to hear everyone’s thoughts.
I like your interpretations. I have a few others but i share many of your observations. I was wondering if it could be a way to show that Caitlyn is hesitant to share her suspicion about Jinx possibly being alive so she test the waters so see where Vi's mindset is at. Like are you still thinking about your family kind of question. Then Vi tells her she'll stay with her no matter what. So i think Caitlyn is afraid to lose Vi if she tells her that her sister might be alive and Vi go looking for her. It cuts after that but it leave the door open for Caitlyn to trust Vi and tells her what she's found (presumably part of a bomb but no body and a way out thrpough a vent). Most likely though it's probably a question to check on her and see how she's holding up.
@@titi3736 Yeah, I agree with both of you. My only big hope is that Caitlyn would tell Vi her suspicions once she did a little research and found some indication that Jinx might have escaped
This finale felt almost like Inception. There’s multiple high stakes plot lines going on simultaneously, time is manipulated in a very brilliant and entertaining way, and the whole episode needs to be rewatched to completely understand all of the incredibly important, subtle things that you absolutely miss on the first viewing.
FYI guys Jinx survived 1) A single streak of shimmer purple shoots out before the explosion 2) Caitlyn looking at side air ducts blueprints (like Cloud City in Empire) 3) Her holding Jinx's monkey bomb head 3) Jinx leaving on white blimp at the end like she said she would in s1e1 as powder 4) Ella Purnell literally said in an interview (smiling behind a card) that she has no idea, no confirmation either way
To add to your fourth point, in that same interview Christian Linke (executive producer) said very matter of factly that Viktor and Jayce were disintegrated and are gone. They directly answered questions about whether characters were alive or dead except for Jinx. When that question was asked they all looked around at each other like "are we allowed to say?" and ended up with Ella Purnell hiding her smile behind the card saying we don't know.
@@kevinstrong4527 who even listens what CL says rn lmao when he spits so much bs and just really out off character information and puts them as "fact/canon" bc he was EP. Fortiche did they fucking best with fixing some lame writing with the most amazing animation by adding so many little details in everything and made sense to their story gaps. Cannot ever trust CL and any words he says
@@lukeyycobein1050 I mean.. he's the reason the show exist, fought for like 3-4 years to get it greenlit with Alex Jee. So yes whatever issue you might have with him he is the "word of god" for Arcane unless Riot overrules him because now Arcane IS the canon.
@@thewalrus45Except others working on the show and in Riot said it is possible we might see them. He may say whatever he wants, but again, there have been times that he's wrong, like after certain comments in the past, as well as being unaware of certain things that other writers knew and he didn't. I honestly won't take any information that isn't in canon to heart, for any show ever, too many things go on behind the scenes of productions and companies to trust things like this. Plus there were many things the animators disagreed on, adding in things, and hints at stuff that the writers didn't ask for. One of those would be how they died, they straight up stop existing which tells us very little about their state of being. He says disintegrated, we don't see bodies turn to dust or anything remaining at all. That's kinda part of the probably, plus the explosion sound is simple to the time travel sound that Ekko had. Which all that would be done by a production team who can, and often do not listen to creators all the time, or follow their vision. That is why people are put off by what he said. It is very unprofessional of any show, to explain or say anything canon behind the scenes. I am also saying this as both a writer and visual artist myself, he might have said so, but he only covers a fraction of development, which is why fans are even confused about different interpretations. Animators have been found to be ship Jayce and Viktor, which may be why they came off as a couple to some fans, although I am a fan of Jayce and Mel, I can't deny that the animators did put recurring parallels to Viktor and Mel, in ways they never did at any other point, to the extent of reusing the same animation in hand shots, eye and mouth shots. Framing them back and forth, that was intentional as well, which clearly Christan probably didn't ask for, otherwise why is it there? These things, these productions of shows, they are FAR bigger than the individual, anything people say can change. So many directors or creators have said things like "this is my final _" but that means very little in actually staying true. Take Hayao Miyazaki who can't retire despite saying he will, or movie series like Star Wars, Matrix, Alien, etc. who continued making more after they weren't planning to. I don't trust qna moments where big "finalized" ideas are said, because they hardly ever hold true, ESPECIALLY for Riot. If you don't think they'd cash in on more spin offs somewhere down the line, idk what to tell you.
My glorious king Singed absolutely got away with it all. Doesn’t get arrested. Doesn’t die. Gets his daughter like he wanted. Absolutely unbothered. How does he do it 🗣️
Coming from a non League player of any capacity, and having only watched this show about 10 months ago... If you would've came up to me say...a year ago, and said that a show that took place in the League of Legends universe would be not only be my favorite animated show of all time, but my favorite show overall, I would've said you're absolutely insane...yet here I am making this comment declaring that this is indeed my absolute favorite show of all time. 💜
the funny thing about that whole discussion over Singed's playstyle is that like... all the things that Aaron is describing KINDA applies to Singed's characterization throughout the entire show. He spent the entire series jumping from whatever power will accept him just so he can accomplish his work, not caring about whatever devastation is left behind. I genuinely can't believe he just got away with EVERYTHING he's responsible for lmao
It's been weeks and I still think the last scene with Jayce and Viktor are the most romantic and the most beautiful thing I've seen in this show 😭 and Jayce's speech about Viktor... like. damn. bro really spent his last moments of life trying to make Viktor believe he was never broken and beautiful to him wholly with all his flaws, not despite them
24:00 That third arm shows up in episode 4! When they're showing Heimerdinger the Hextech gemstone for the first time. The laser that zapped the little Poro
There is a great edit somewhere on YT I saw, where its Ekko scenes but from the perspective of the other characters so its strictly linear and skips the rewinds. The part where he is stopping Jinx from blowing herself up was particularly interesting and slightly almost funny because you see Ekko progressively get more burnt, and Jinx starting to clue in that something is up.
Episode 1: Protect Maddie at all costs! This sweet ginger is too precious for this world! Episode 3 at the final scene as Maddie's beating her chest in the salute: Well, I'll give this girl the benefit of the doubt, she might just not know what she's cheering for. Episode 4 in the beginning scene between her and Caitlyn: Hmm...I wasn't mad at Maddie because of the situation, I was suspicious of her. I thought either she genuinely had feelings for Caitlyn that Caitlyn didn't have back, or she had some ulterior motives. Episode 9 as soon as the reveal happened: *slams fist into my bed* I KNEW IT!!! YOU *****! 💜
I love Cait & Vi together so much that as soon as Maddie was next to Cait in ep4 I was PISSED lmfao and the reveal this episode just reinforced that 😤😤😤
My only issue is that people constantly misinterpret Maddie's intentions. She was never pushing for more violence. In all three scenes with her and Cait, she's pushing for Cait to end the conflict, stop working with the Noxians, or be a leader. I think she truly believes in Cait and has genuine affection for her, not realising she's just a rebound. Hell, Ambessa even interrupts her on one occasion and undermines her being there. Hardly a good idea if she's a plant or spy. In my opinion, I think she turns purely out of scorn when Vi returns.
@@RampantFirefly It's been confirmed that she was a Noxian plant the whole time. She was stoking the flames, just like Ambessa was, she just had different methods.
@ZackScroggins as far as I can tell this is based on one tweet showing a supposed IM between the tweeter and someone they imply is the voice actress (edit: writer not VA). All other sources quote this or are fan speculation. If this turned out to be true it would honestly be the only thing I'm Arcane to disappoint me, because none of Maddie's dialog indicates she's fanning the flames. All of her actions show her as supportive of Cait being in charge, often times flat out saying they don't need the Noxians.
Jinx didn't die. Don't be too sad. You see her escape at the end if you look closely. Heim is a Yordle and thus cannot die, he just respawns in Bandle City.
This show is Sooo good. So happy to see you guys enjoyed it. I am sure that someone has mentioned this already, but there are more shows coming that while not "Arcane" it will explore more of Runeterra, no dates yet. there are many animated shorts and videos out now but they are mostly skin teasers. But some of them provide sneak peaks of what could be explored. Tales of Runeterra do a very good job show casing each of the regions and the the types of stories that could be told.
My favorite part about this is Singed basically got what he wanted. Pretty much the entire show happened because of events he was a major driving force of. Everyone who suffered some devastating loss did so because of his actions. And in the end he is the only one who got a happy ending. How fucked is that?
Fun fact, because you recently started Stray Kids reactions, The song that starts playing with Jinx and Ekko's entrance is Come Play by Stray Kids and Young Miko.
Some characters like Mel, and sevika, although they’re not in league, they’ve been put into the Teamfight tactics mode (3d chess), which was based on arcane
On Vander/Warwick originally yeah he was completely seperate from Vi but I guess as they were developing Arcane and changing her backstory they started giving him voicelines in game that hinted that there was a connection there (Like he has a line at Vi that's like "WHO TAUGHT YOU HOW TO PUNCH?" and I believe a couple for Jinx as well), then Arcane S1 teased it a few times with "The Hound of the Underground" title for Vander and them using some of Warwicks game sound effects when he Shimmers up.
I don't know if you realized this but the music playing during that fight scene that you said was good was an original OST by Stray Kids, Young Miko, and Tom Morello. I know you guys have been listening to some of Stray Kids songs, so it would be cool to see your reaction to the full song.
Also the reason Ekko didn't have a tether on him was Jinx was so fast that she dodged her tether, so Ekko's tether went to her. At least that's my only head canon on the topic
This one makes me sob... -Season 2 Episode 9 Wasteland Lyrics (Vocals by Royal and the Serpent): [Verse 1] I've held on for as long as I can For the ones that I had to defend I've been strong every day of my life If she wants, death could take me this time [Chorus] This world is a wasteland where nothing can grow I used to have strength, but I ran out of hope I know it's my fault that I'm here all alone This world is a wasteland Please let me go, go, go, go, go, go, go [Verse 2] If I could just lay my head down and rest If there was nothing to fight or protect Maybe then I could finally be free Maybe death is like falling asleep [Chorus] This world is a wasteland whеre nothing can grow I used to have strеngth, but I ran out of hope I know it's my fault that I'm here all alone This world is a wasteland [Bridge] I'm not ready to face it Don't go saying "goodbye" There's a beauty in changes And I wanna try [Chorus] This world is a wasteland where nothing can grow If it weren't for you, I'd be here all alone I know in my heart this is where we belong This world is a wasteland Don't let me go, go, go, go, go, go, go Don't let me go 💜
theres actually a few minor hints throughout the show that indicate jinx actually survived. Apparently some small conversation that happened in the first season about them talking about how they'd like to travel the world on an air balloon, up until the very last 2 scenes, where caitlyn was look at the mapping of the airducts in the bottom of that tower, to the random balloon flying away at the end with the very jinx style text they used for the words THE END. Most wouldn't catch it. I only know because i saw someone online explaining it.
The crow you see I believe belongs to the ruler of nexus, you see it being around them at the end and watching them. Next stop is Nexus too, with the new trailer coming out yesterday ! ! ! The stories in this universe will continue !
Viktor and Jayce have always been interesting characters, but the way they tied up their entire story in this ending has me OBSESSED They start together and end together
Interesting implication of the opening: the first few times Jinx still detonates the explosive, thinking Ekko is another voice. It's only when he shows a 'real' action of being tired and sitting down she realises he's actually there, and falls instead. There was a theory that Ekko tried to get through to Jinx in the past and failed , whilst Vi was imprisoned, which is why he's resigned to her not being able to be converted when he and Vi reconnect. Which means, all this time, Jinx viewed Ekko as the 'good angel' in her array of voices, though.
something that I didnt catch on my first watch through of season 2 but I saw later in a second rewatch was that the 3rd arm Viktor has I believe is supposed to be kind of that Laser Arm that Viktor and Jace were showing to Heimerdinger in the first season when they were pushing for Hextech Tools for mining
I’m still so hung up on arcane, the characters, the animation, the emotion…I fear it will always be ingrained in me. I highly recommend y’all check out the soundtrack for the songs, I’ve been listening to them nonstop!!
The raven that was prying open the hammer is shown flying to noxus alongside the boats, its related to a character from league that was never actually introduced in arcane officially but a lot of people that have played the game know its from a noxian mage, theres also a lot of scenes in arcane that have crows hanging out just sort of watching whats going on, jinx shot one of them at the shooting range.
It's exciting to realize that Jinx tried to kill herself with the explosion, thinking that Ekko was one of the hallucinations, but when she realized it was really him, she tried to jump so as not to hurt him
Okay everyone is talking about Jinx surviving (which she 100% did), but I want to bring up Jayce and Victor. While there have been statements by crew/cast that they got vaporized at the end, one of the main writers Amanda Overton has said that they are part of the arcane (she's also one of many of the Arcane creatives that have called Jayce and Viktor romantic haha). Much like Jinx (for better or worse), their 'deaths' are left ambiguous so that it'll be easy to have them show up in another show down the line if they want. But if that never happens, their 'deaths' can remain deaths. I have my personal crack theory that brings me way too much joy that way down the line when the studio inevitably wants to make a big crossover of a bunch of their shows, they are going to bring back the old canon Aaron mentioned several episodes ago where the League of Legends is a literal fighting competition where characters are summoned by gods to fight to the death (and then respawn). Jayce and Viktor enjoying magic heaven only to get summoned and forced to play League of Legends, truly the worst hell haha.
I'm pretty sure League canon states its basically the champions from various nations and kingdoms and whatnot fighting in a parallel dimension or something like that, so that the entire world isn't destroyed in the process of armies and gods duking it out.
@pabloc8808 from my understanding yep! Well at least that's how it used to be, riot has phased out that lore about characters being summoned to fight in LOL. which I agree with from a story perspective (it makes way more sense to have characters interacting within the world itself) but I do think if far down the line (and I mean farrrrr) they brought it back in an Arcane like show it would be incredibly funny. They could finally do the title drop pfft. (And they could take it seriously and have it been genuinely horrifying. The characters taken out of their world to fight for the amusement of gods. Fun potential for character to fight back against it too)
@@gracec8c I mean, while League lore is fun, it's not like most players give a damn about it, and Riot has done a LOT of retcons. Matter of fact I'm 99% sure the whole "alternate timelines/universes" is their way of saying they're not really breaking canon, since in the Arcane main universe, Vi doesn't have the gauntlets, Caitlyn lost an eye, Ambessa is dead, Viktor and Jayce are gone, Jinx and Warwick are presumed dead, Heimerdinger is missing, and Ekko doesn't have his Z-Drive. That's not an universe where League could happen
Jinx didn't die. If you pause just when the explosion goes of, you can see a red pink streak flying inside the chamber Cait is showing us on her computer. Also about the blimp in the end, Jinx is on it, in the first seasons, she said, "one day I'm gonna ride one of those". The " The End " is also in a Jinx style font. Not to mention they're all alive in the game and Riot have said Arcane is canon. They can't be dead.
This isn't true anymore. The lore is going through a major overhaul, top to bottom; I tend to find it extremely funny when people cry about this or that champion's lore being broken after Arcane, because many don't seem to clock on that they aren't finished with this process. Trying to keep all the lore threads in line was getting convoluted and some downright contradicted each other or couldn't exist together. So, they made the Arcane storyline canon and the lore is being built up and adjusted around it. The showrunners were then given carte blanche to do whatever they wanted with the characters. The form of each Champion we play in the game is now considered to be from a fixed point in their story, but not necessarily what they would be at the current point in the lore storyline. Base Jinx is no longer her "current" version, as she chopped all of her hair off: it takes the best part of a decade to grow it that long and if that much time were to pass for her to re-grow it, other characters then wouldn't be in line with her either.
Someone pointed out when Jinx keeps attempting to end herself Echo says something along the lines of not blowing herself and an old friend up, and in her next attempt she tries to jump instead of using the bomb. Also I don't really get a lot of the Maddie hate like when Calvin said Maddie was always pushing Caitlyn to violence I'm pretty sure it was almost always the opposite infact she even teased Caitlynn for following Ambessa's 'We must be strong and harsh' mentality at one point?
Yeah, Jinx doesn't believe he's real at first, but as soon as she notices she's hurting him she changes tactics. And you're right, Maddie was always pushing Cait to stop working with the Noxians. An argument can be made that she was a plant, but I think all the evidence suggests she wasn't. I think she truly believed in Cait and then felt betrayed and scorned.
@@RampantFirefly I think it’s the opposite, all the evidence points to Maddie being a plant. She was the first to join in on the noxian salute. She poked at Cait’s insecurities pushing her further into Ambessa’s plans. Amnesia herself said she had someone keeping an eye on Cait and Maddie was the only constant. Cait and Vi’s plan works while Maddie was otherwise occupied, so we can’t assume it’s an outside spy reporting back on Cait. Then at the end, you can see a single frame of Maddie with a big smile as she pulls the trigger, and the trajectory of the bullet indicates more of a neck shot, which would be a painful and agonizing death over a quick headshot. I feel that’s more than just a scorned lover, that’s a noxian trained spy. IMO
@jaysee17 to me, Maddie joining the Noxian salute is because she believes in Cate and is happy to see her gain power. When Ambessa says her name, Maddie also looks surprised. I'm aware of the evil smile frame and shooting at the neck, but from my view, that is more in line with someone wanting revenge for feeling betrayed, not something spy would do. I'll admit that it is hard for me to reconcile Ambessa saying she had someone keeping an eye on Cait, but again she literally undermines her own spy if that's the case.
A few things that you guys might want to know: 1. Lots of theory that Jinx is still alive. There was a streak of pink (shimmer) at the end of her explosion, and Caitlyn is looking at escape hatches in the next scene. 2. Ambessa was added a champ, but Mel is also being added soon 3. Heimerdinger is a Yordle (race of small creatures), and they respawn upon death in Bandle City (in lore). Its likely he could still be alive. 4. Annie may have been in this show, as the daughter of Marcus in S1 5. If you want to try a Riot game, try this set of TFT (Teamfight Tactics) before the set changes. This set is based on arcane, and although there is still a learning curve, it should still help. 6. The Raven with 6 eyes belongs to Swain, one of the leaders of Noxus. It has been spying for him. 7. There is a new League Cinematic that came out yesterday, they have plenty of these, but the new one has Mel so you might want to watch it (2 minutes)
They're working on multiple stories from the LOL universe the creators have mentioned Ionia, Noxus and Demacia so far but it's more likely that their next series would take place in Noxus given the information thus far. But there is so much more to navigate such as Shurima, Bilgewater, Freljord, Bandle City, Targon and many more.
Btw it is hinted heavily that jinx survived with Caitlyn looking at the schematics, the pink blur right before the explosion and the boat in the end which powder said she was going to ride one day in episode 1.
For information, Yordle like Heimerdinger can't die, they are TP to their own dimension "Bundle city" if i remember correctly. Yordle travels a lot beetween dimension also so that's why Heimer wasn't as lost as ekko in the other dimension.
I hope that you'll watch the new League Cinematic "Welcome to Noxus". Although it's meant to be for the new season of the game, it also acts as somewhat of a teaser for the next series after Arcane.
Quickly became my favorite show ever. The world and characters just resonate with me. Jinx is one of the best written characters I've seen. Cait and Vi is one of the best written romances I've seen. My man Ekko is the hero we need but not the one we deserve. It's just a 10 for me. I'm sad it's done but I hope to see some of these characters again some time.
Heimer is a yordle, so when they "die" they simple go back to their origin city Jinx most assuredly is alive, you see a line of pink blink away and Caitlyn is holding a Jinx bomb and looking at the air vents in the tower. Powder in episode one also said "One day I'm gonna fly in one of those" talking about the airship and here we see an airship flying away from Piltover. Also I agree with others that they should watch the Welcome to Noxus video to set up for the next show. Since Aaron left the game before Swain rework he didn't pick up on the ravens.
I would 100% watch them explore the lore of league of legends. Maybe not here but on their gaming channel would be a good place for that? There is a lot of cool stuff in there.
Someone mentioned in another reaction why Jinx stopped trying to blow herself up and jumped instead. I was confused by that, but they reasoned that she may have initially thought Ekko was simply in her mind and not really there, but when she realized he was she jumped so she wouldn't take him with her. Don't know if that's true, but it is a plausible theory.
You guys need to see Blood, Sweat, and Tears, its a music video from RIOT telling Ambessa's backstory, and they dropped a new one the other day called Bite Marks which shows where we're going next with Mel after arcane finished. (Both made by Fortiche (The Studio that made Arcane))
Probably my favourite animated show of all time, my worry is that we won't get to see this level of animated series again. The cost and time to make were, for the viewer, absolutely justified but for the corpo's I can't help but feel they'll be happy pushing something cheaper out. Don't get me wrong, the level of storytelling was right up there as well but what made this show so special IMO was the animation. Fortiche deserve so much credit for creating something fresh, unique and stunning to look at. That being said will I watch a Runeterra series on a more manageable budget? Of course I will, I need to know more about this universe (especially since the MMO has been taken back to the drawing board). But Arcane I think will always be the standard setter.
Not sure if a spoiler or would make them feel better about Jinx but there is a blur of her purple speed in the explosion, Cait was looking at a vent system where she could have escaped, and in season 1 Jinx said she would fly one of the sail barges. It is implied she survived

What makes jayce and Viktor's relationship sadder is that they are no alternate timelines where both of them are happy without meeting each other. If they never met, Viktor could die from his illness, and jayce could never create hextech. Their 'happiest' timeline is the one where Viktor almost ends humanity, and they both sacrifice themselves to save it.
worse even, in ekko timeline jayce would have killed himself since victor would have no reason to visit him this time.
There is also theorys about him dying on the explosion, but since he's experiment resulted on the death of a "bystander" he wouldn't get "a slap on the wrist" so he mostly would get banished for good this time
well 😭 back to crying
I hadn't noticed that! Cool tidbit. Thanks for pointing it out.
shes the sherrif now
Which is an INSANELY cool way to end her arc as a character!
From Vik's perspective that shit would be so confusing lmao
@@jackiechan5815 woe, impossible magic bomb be upon thee
When you phrase it like this... Damn, hilarious
Well Ekko is a jungler, so it tracks
The true winner in all of this is Singed tho
Arcane really went from "Episode 1: Rob a house" to "Final Episode: Kill God" lmao
Average TTRPG experience, AND RIOT WON'T MAKE A FUCKING TTRPG BC THEY'RE COWARDS
That could also be a summary of the Stormlight Archive too lmao
You guys should react to the Welcome To Noxus cinematic that was just released, it’s basically an Arcane epilogue.
Yes, definatly!
Yeah, was going to make the same comment. Definitely an epilogue.

"One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things."
Powder's very first line
@@Trockenmatt yup, they still made it ambigious, even the voice actress (who i just found out is the Fallout girl) voices her. she said she doesn't truly know but all of it points to that she lived.
and also Silco saying that the cycle ends when you find the will to walk away.
He would be literally stealing another Ekko's life but the show never delved into it cause then it would be creepy the whole kissing Powder.
Ekko is literally savescumming his way to the perfect conversation option with Jinx.
istg i just saw you a few weeks ago spamming comments on the cyberpunk reactions of lettsreact
Agreed. He's the true hero of this show.
Dude, you’re everywhere
Heimindinger is alive. His race is immortal and when they "die" they reappear in their home city (or so I've read in other reaction videos to Arcane).
Yup it's League canon, his race, the Yordles, don't die for good, they "respawn" in their home universe Bandle City, which is in a different plane of existence.
Do they respawn as a young yordle? Or do they just respawn in their home from the age they died?
@@Ria-vj3ch afaik, they just respawn as they were. Idk how much of their memories they keep though, so that might be what Heimerdinger means when he talks about his "unusually long lifespan"
Though does Yordle respawn account for vanishing in a time warp?
This implies that Smeech shows up in Bandlecity with no arms or legs, or something like that, and I think that's funny enough to want the Yordle thing to be true.
Please someone in the blindwave crew show them the Welcome to Noxus Cinematic trailer that released yesterday, it’s basically a trailer for the future show
It’s so sad that it’s come full circle that originally Powder got Vander killed by a monkey bomb, but now, as Jinx, she’s sacrificing herself to put down Warwick with the same bomb
Another great parallel! Just to note that jinx is likely alive on that blimp, as others have pointed out in more detail, so it's not all tragedy
"We'll show them...We will show them all..." and that you did, Riot/Fortiche...I applaud everyone who worked on this. It has officially gone down as a staple of animated history, and will be remembered for many decades to come, if not longer. Season 1 yes.
@DGSnowolf agree to disagree. The series as a whole for me personally.

FYI guys Jinx survived
1) A single streak of shimmer purple shoots out before the explosion
2) Caitlyn looking at side air ducts blueprints (like Cloud City in Empire)
3) Her holding Jinx's monkey bomb head
3) Jinx leaving on white blimp at the end like she said she would in s1e1 as powder
4) Ella Purnell literally said in an interview (smiling behind a card) that she has no idea, no confirmation either way
To add to your fourth point, in that same interview Christian Linke (executive producer) said very matter of factly that Viktor and Jayce were disintegrated and are gone.
If you don't think they'd cash in on more spin offs somewhere down the line, idk what to tell you.
it was fun while it last...

I recommend that you guys watch the new Welcome to Noxus cinematic. It's pretty much Arcane episode 0.5
Arcane 2.5, the one before 3, after 2.

It's official, this show has the best made-for-series soundtrack I've ever heard. 💜
5:53 my favorite impact frame of the whole show
Was counting down the minutes for this reaction
@@ZackScroggins It has not been confirmed at all.
Jinx didn't die. Don't be too sad. You see her escape at the end if you look closely. Heim is a Yordle and thus cannot die, he just respawns in Bandle City.
6 eyed Raven is Swains pet, Swain is from Noxus he works with LeBlanc, AKA the mage from Blackrose that killed Ambesa.
Well, he is LeBlanc's main rival, they don't really work together. Other than that yeah.
06:14 The song playing during this scene is actually a Stray Kids song!!
so surprised they didn’t seem to clock felix’s voice haha
I absolutely recommend Welcome to Noxus cinematic that released yesterday, it's basically teaser for the next show
This show is Sooo good.

Truly a masterpiece in soundtrack production, it still has me in a chokehold
theres actually a few minor hints throughout the show that indicate jinx actually survived.
Now they need to see the welcome to Noxus trailer so they can get a taste of what’s to come
I'm glad I'm not the only grown ass man who cried over this show. Jinx's "death" broke me, especially after her conversation with Silco in her cell.
I like how Caitlyn sacrifices her eye to cut the runes, since Ambessa is the one who taught her the final lesson of combat is sacrifice.
Viktor and Jayce have always been interesting characters, but the way they tied up their entire story in this ending has me OBSESSED
They start together and end together
Interesting implication of the opening: the first few times Jinx still detonates the explosive, thinking Ekko is another voice. It's only when he shows a 'real' action of being tired and sitting down she realises he's actually there, and falls instead. There was a theory that Ekko tried to get through to Jinx in the past and failed , whilst Vi was imprisoned, which is why he's resigned to her not being able to be converted when he and Vi reconnect. Which means, all this time, Jinx viewed Ekko as the 'good angel' in her array of voices, though.

Had me giggled. I am happy that I got that reference, felt like the Cap in the first Avengers movie.
Viktor: “That device can’t be.”
Ekko: “It be.”
From what I understand, Maddie hate was more of a meme that exploded especially after she was revealed as a traitor
I'll admit that it is hard for me to reconcile Ambessa saying she had someone keeping an eye on Cait, but again she literally undermines her own spy if that's the case.
boy I love watching people cry over Arcane, thank you sm for reacting to this amazing show!
the jinx scenes in this finale.... really hit some type of way. damn you fortiche
React to Ambessa Music Video & NOXUS (post-arcane-series) now!
Jinx showing up is easily the most absolutely bat shit crazy a show has ever made me react at 2am
JAYVIK CANON
A few things that you guys might want to know:
1. Lots of theory that Jinx is still alive. There was a streak of pink (shimmer) at the end of her explosion, and Caitlyn is looking at escape hatches in the next scene.
2. Ambessa was added a champ, but Mel is also being added soon
3. Heimerdinger is a Yordle (race of small creatures), and they respawn upon death in Bandle City (in lore). Its likely he could still be alive.
4. Annie may have been in this show, as the daughter of Marcus in S1
It's spelled Ekko, and also spelled GOAT
Btw it is hinted heavily that jinx survived with Caitlyn looking at the schematics, the pink blur right before the explosion and the boat in the end which powder said she was going to ride one day in episode 1.
You should look at the actual season trailer. It continues the story arround Mel and the Black Rose.
Fun little detail... watch that explosion from Jinx's grenade in super slow motion, you might spot something interesting.
Arcane is and always will be one of the greatest shows ever made💯🔥
It's incredible how they managed to tell a story like this in only 18 episodes.
Heimer is a yordle, so when they "die" they simple go back to their origin city
Jinx most assuredly is alive, you see a line of pink blink away and Caitlyn is holding a Jinx bomb and looking at the air vents in the tower.
Tell by the thumbnail this episode was emotional
Viktor and Jayce the only bromance that truly matters
Thank you for seeing it for what it is. Rather than the how others trying to make it out as something “more.”
@ yea the head canons can often cloud things. Loving the homies sometimes can result in inter dimensional time warping and cosmic consequences
Yall should react to welcome to noxus the league of legends cinematic trailer
What a perfect show. Sad this story is over but I can’t wait for future spin off with new story’s
Not sure if a spoiler or would make them feel better about Jinx but there is a blur of her purple speed in the explosion, Cait was looking at a vent system where she could have escaped, and in season 1 Jinx said she would fly one of the sail barges. It is implied she survived
I'd love a reaction to some of the cinematics!
Especially the Annie, Ekko and new Noxus cinematic!!!
