My wife and I have seen Billy at least 20 times, and this first set was one of the best we’ve ever experienced. It was absolutely incredible-intense, magical, and captivating from start to finish. We were lucky enough to attend both nights in Austin. While it was fantastic to see Billy and the band perform all traditional bluegrass on the first night at ACL, the energy at the Moody Center was on another level. The atmosphere was electric, and somehow, the larger venue felt as intimate as the 2,000-seat ACL Live. Billy’s insane talent never ceases to amaze us.
I still say nothing better than ranging from psychedelic Bluegrass to traditional Bluegrass! I think youngsters now understand how incredibly talented many so-called Bluegrass artists are. I still lean traditional, but I love it all.
I’ve been to well over 100 shows and seeing him in Fort Worth Texas last week was probably the best show I’ve seen in my life. It was special to say the least.
