HERD TEST RESULTS & THE CATTLE ARE IN!

- In today's video the cattle came in, I prepared for the herd test and covered the testing and results and myself and Dad tackled putting a bolt on the back door in the shed which turned out well.

Hi Karen, it's great news your farm is TB free. You can get on with sorting out the cattle to sell and get ready for calving. What is wrong with the Irish weather, it has to stop raining soon. All your cattle look good and a couple of weeks indoors won't hurt them. Enjoy the rugby, lots of glass of guinness and some great food. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.

the hardware reminds me of a garage in Maine that had only a wood foundation...I don't know what they expected...as time went by, 150 years, the building settled into the sand and swing open doors became too tall and I had to every few years ,cut the bottoms off in order to swing the doors open. they did have the same hardware you installed. had the fire dept burn it down eventually.

You brought back memories of when I was a boy and working on the farm, the burdizzo and dehorning shears not the most pleasant tasks to be involved in but had to be done the vets made sure everything was well numbed beforehand 🤞...cant wait to see the new tractor in operation......

Congratulations on the great news with your test results, also don't worry about the limonesse bleeding, there's usually a little blood after dehorning that way and you were probably right not to show dehorning on video not a pretty sight ,I grew up on a suckler farm and seen it too often

Great result on the test Karen, it's always an anxious time waiting for the results, good idea to keep the cattle in while the bad weather passes, we are forecast another wet week next week here in North Yorkshire!

Yes unfortunately she will always have the limp. Her muscles have seized in that leg. I can't remember the name the vet put on it

Great news you may have to test 3 times in the next 20 months with the first being in 3 months time
We were told either 6 or 12 months so hopefully that is the case

Glad you passed your TB testing. UA-camr farmer p. Failed it this time and lost 7 -8 including the bull was a gental boy.
I was it. Patrick the bull. It was heartbreaking
I hate that skulling iv seen it a good few times an some butchery with no numbing r anything and squirting blood you were right not to film it. Well done on passing the test

I would do the same. At least when you go to the mart, you have the option of bringing them home if you are not happy with the price. At the minute, factory agents are falling over themselves looking for cattle, so you should do well 👍
