One of the things to make your inventory troubles less is to track pending inventory moves with the info pane brought up. ` brings up console, then type r_displayinfo 1 and hit enter. When you're in your inventory, the pending moves will appear on the top left of the screen. Do not make inventory moves until the pending moves number drops to zero.
1st day of 4.0 was absolutly astonishing I played spawned in hanger had a solid 4hour entirely bug free session and wanted more! came back the 2nd and 3rd day.. and elevators were borked so I couldn't leave the hangers. Cannot wait for the actual 4.0.1 Live patch, and the end of month elevator/transport refactor/fixes. I will definitely be playing more going forward!
I've spent the last three weeks just checking out a few places in Pyro, but I've worked up the courage to finally make my way to Ruin station (a lot more PvP-centric compared to Patch City, where I was stationed out of for most of 4.0). I'm planning on doing a contested zone in a sperm suit run to try to collect some gear.
You know what be cool? If they did this on a larger scale on a planet! Like a dead city with good amount of air cover to keep people from causing too much trouble, or another under ground base like that talked about before! I see huge potential with the contested zones!
Had also a very impressive first week with good Server FPS, nearly no Bugs... and then 4.0 broke and got as messy as most people experience 4.0 at the moment...
@apr6337 I started with 3.18 and it was hard. But since then it get better with every patch in stability and content. Yeah, after every big Patch its a rough time. But beside that it works for me really good since I upgraded to 64 GB RAM to give SC some room to work.
buggier mess perhaps, but I had 4-5 of my best sessions ever (in 5 years) in it. If you get caught in a bad server, that's bad. But in fresh shards, I've had excellent experiences too (that said, mostly in Stanton). thanks for the vid!
4.0, like for a lot of players, has been incredibly fun when it works, but incredibly infuriating when it doesn't which is most of the time i open up the game. i just started playing a couple months ago on version 3.24 and even that was a smoother experience to me than 4.0 is right now. with 4.0 people have to resort to time consuming workarounds just to hop to another shard in their region because their character is stuck after having to ALT F4 at a black screen or infinite loading screen.
I just bought a starter package a week ago and have had zero issues. Plays smooth on my mid-range PC. Feel bad for others for sure I hope they fix it soon!
I've been avoiding update 4.0 like the Plague. Over the years I've learned that every major Star Citizen release is always a hot mess and that you should always wait for at least two updates after that before checking out the new features. And even then, more often than not, your session still ends up in frustration.
I will say when people can actually play 4.0 it is a huge leap forward in SC terms. But so many are locked out of playing it’s almost a 3.18 experience for some. I played up until yesterday when I got shard locked and can no longer join. CIG scratched the surface of potential greatness. It remains to be seen if they can actually maintain it.
It's fun when it works and Pyro in itself is just a new level of art that makes Stanton feel a bit bland. Some of the newer planet tech was used to develop Pyro and Bloom is beautiful. There is an FPS item duplication bug you don't even have to leave your hangar to exploit and think it's eating the data wrecking some shards. For the contested zones you can save time and bring a bunch of fuses with you. If you get the bug where you can't put fuses in the doors to open them put the fuse on the ground and use your tractor beam to install it and it'll snap in like ship equipment but get your gun back out fast because there are often NPCs covering every door. The closer you get to the vault that opens on a timer where a bunch of loot is you are more likely to encounter players in ambush while they wait for the timed door to open. What I like are all the alternative paths and tunnels you can sneak around in. Vents with little round fans on them go up to them to see if you have an open option. There is one next to the vault chamber door that's perfect for ambushing anyone going up to the door control panel to use it.
Me and my org have had successes and failures in the contested zones bugs have of course been a problem too often game breaking requiring going to another server restarting the game or otherwise having problems or inability entirely to play. Sometimes you go in to a CZ with 10 friends and get ground to meat getting utterly wiped out of existence by players and other times you go in and are getting multiple copies of the main cards. I myself do far have gotten to 5 of 7 cards already so there is some playability. Server performance has been steadily increasing and a gradual reduction in server degradation too but a lot of the key bugs are still present.
I’m personally grateful that it forever evolving, rather than being abandoned by the devs. Sure, they break it every once and a while with big patches, but my experience with 4.0 has been a lot better than what was showed here. There are some missions that don’t work, but other than that it has been pretty smooth sailing. Even in it’s current state, it is the best game I’ve ever played.
IF they can make it stable, I'll actually be inclined to invite people to try it out. That's a very big if, but this is the first time I've felt like it might be a possibility.
1:33 is exactly my problem with star citizen as a whole, bugs aside. needing to walk from the hotel room aaaaalllll the way through your city to the starport, while neat and impressive, takes waaaay too long when you just want to hop on and go fly your space ship. and if your ship blows up? again you have to run all the way through the city again just to wait for insurance to get your ship back. it feels like unless you live on a space station or in your ship (if you have a ship with a bed) it just takes entirely too long to get to the actual game
Why would you live in a city though? Literally nobody does that. Besides now you spawn directly in your hangar (although I think they disabled that feature temporarily due to a bug)
I don't understand why they didn't make contested zones a mode inside star marine/sim pods. That way you don't actually die because it's a sim pod. Death of a spaceman does not mix with contested zones.
This fortunately doesnt describe everyone's experience. You can hear the frustration in his voice. lol. The hotfixes that have been slowly rolling out on the backend are starting to help alleviate some of the issues.
Comments are bananas. Complaining that it isn't a game yet. Like, no shit. It's in development. People who don't have tolerance for alphas need to stay away from alphas and stick to released games. It's really that simple. Getting on a forum concerning a game in development and complaining that it's not finished yet is baby-brain nonsense.
Honestly I‘d love to see something like this mixed with stuff of siege of orison but in Lorville… like maybe an armed riot of the Lorville citizens that Hurston Security needs to be shut down
You can tell how incredibly frustrated he was because out of all this, he only really mentioned the MASSIVE performance increase 4.0 has brought in ONE single sentence, as if SC has ALWAYS been this performant and it's not worth mentioning. 😂
Any time I hear about this game, it is about some massive game breaking bug for something that should simply be checked.. You shouldn't get soft-locked for a door mechanism after a decade of development...
Nvidia needs to partner with Star Citizen just like they did with Cyberpunk 2077. This game needs the power of AI to run all these ridiculous systems. I'm willing to wait 5 more years while they work it out.
I have to disagree with you regarding The Division Both games had technical issues, but I feel like they more than accomplished what they set out to offer, which is a game unlike SC.
4.0 been a mixed bag for me. Some days it runs fine, almost bug free. Other days its literally unplayable. It won't spawn my ship, none of my contracts work, none of my markers work (assigned hangars, quantum beacons for missions etc.). Won't let me customize my ship etc etc. I really hope they start working on Polishing a lot more. As the game is just unplayable most of the times. Sure it is an alpha, but with the amount of money that game raises. You expect a more streamlined experience. And also I hope they fix the performance of fps. I have a decent pc (32 gb ddr4 ram, 3080ti, Ryzen 7 5800x, it's getting older but still a powerful machine) and I make like 70 fps at maximum in empty space. The moment I go to a space station I'm at 50ish and when I'm on a planet hub it drops to 30ish. Like wtf. I mean star citizen looks good but I have plenty of games that look better and also run way better
As usual with this game, almost unlimited potential hindered by bugs. Supposedly 2025 they are supposed to be focusing on bugs and stability but they've said that before.
Alphas aren't for everybody. Only a small percentage of players have the tolerance to play an alpha. Normies need to stay away until it's closer to 1.0.

FPS combat in Star Citizen is by far its weakest link. The guns feel weak and the enemy reactions to being shot are very canned if they show any reaction at all. Not to mention AI is braindead and they just come at you single file lining up for headshots.
its a dumpster fire. CIG came back from vacation and promptly FUCKED the game up. they're the only company where the phrase "hotfix" should fill you with dread rather than relief. its insane how shitty and chaotic they are. theyre just fucking ruining such a good concept. obviously im mad lol. i love star citizen like an abusive significant other who's good in bed but thats about it. im not sure what star citizen does great however.
Everything 'Star Citizen' irritates the absolute h*ll out of me. Worst money grab in history. I will NEVER buy or play this game no matter how 'good' they say it is. Video disliked on principle.
CIG has brain washed y’all in to buying ships at the most stupid price in all of gaming history to play a game that is 95% broken and then they give y’all contested zones so y’all can go shoot each other in 3 rooms in a space station Omfg. And y’all complain how there’s nothing to do but the minute they put out “we have another $500 ship on the store”. All of y’all jump to it like some dog in heat. Buy it then come back in the game 5 minutes later. Still nothing to do Unbelievable
I bought a game package years ago for 50 Euro, I have gotten untold hours of gaming and fun from this, incredible value for money. Sure there are bugs, but that is expected in a game being currently developed. Don't be angry. just play something else.
I hate those too, but the way around it is to not wear a combat helmet. Makes it SOOOOO much more intense. Grab an industrial or flight helmet and you lose those annoying crosshairs and hit marker sounds.
I can tell that SC is really a shit hole of a game by looking at the YT content being made by big SC players. I got tired of documenting the same errors over and over myself ua-cam.com/video/AI_Z9Xoivro/v-deo.html
Ok, I don't know if I am crazy, but this is like the very last thing I was asking for? Like genuinely, who asked for this? Who plays Star Citizen for the FPS experience? Trying to complete missions on foot, fighting infantry AI is easily the worst, most bugged and unfun part of SC. Gear barely matters outside of Ships. Fighting AI in Bunker Missions mostly relies on lag and how the server feels that day anyway. Why would I play the Space Sim game, just to load into budget Space Tarkov?? This really feels like one of those patented RSI brain farts. A feature NOBODY asked for, that comes out half finished, barely implemented and disconnected from the rest of the PU. Genuinely baffling.
I want both.. I also want land based driving delivery missions.. similar to what a pizza driver/uber would do. Driving thru or into potential ghettos where you might get "robbed" or held up. or however they justify shooting at random delivery people.. smuggle missions.. drug running on land like that old game (smugglers run).. I want a game that clearly does both because only being limited to doing space stuff is a waste of all the tech they have been setting up and doing not to mention immersion breaking.
You missed the chance to call it STAR-KOV 😂😂
enough dad jokes already
that's some sharp work my man.
TarCitizen
Star Comrade
Escape from citizen 1.0 will be here one day!
you can use a tractor beam for the fuze door

I'm not even a pvp centric player and I freakin love the Contested Zones. Mostly like to do naked runs with only the gear you loot inside.

Life changing? Wtf
How? What is there to do? Lmao

Your video basically summed up all of my CZ experiences. When 4.0 works it’s great. When it fails it fails really hard.
That's literally Star Citizen in a nutshell for the past decade.
damnit! the bots got here before me
Great video as always:)
They always do.. 🤖🍑

If they ever will accomplish something that will feel as immersive as Tarkov I might consider coming back to it…but it still looks too jenky for me.

There's a reason this isn't the live build. Can't wait to play it when it does eventually go live.
Inventory issues has been the biggest annoyance for me as they break when looting players 😢

Yup, just less ESP users and overall hackers than Tarkov.

I must one of the few lucky ones, very few bugs and issues in either Pyro or Stanton
Don't spawn on checkmate, try ruin station or stanton because a lot of people choose those places and overpopulated that server
"I can see the potential of it". That was me, 5 years ago. It's still nowhere. Time to ditch the copium
My buddies and I got to the end of the zones several times every time we do the servers crash and we lose the keycards. Everyone uninstalled already 🎉
Star Citizen FPS gameplay is D-Tier at best when it works. 😂
Tarkov players will just play Tarkov.
It’s not looking good for SC

Reminds me of the dark zone from the Division
that moving crosshair...
What happened to that rush gamemode from 4 years ago?
It's still there. Most players use it to test weapons or drunk play against friends
another "if it works, it would be fun" feature.
Ive tried this and have had mixed results. I one roud I went in with a pistol and just undershot, got loads of gear and left. In another, went in with all my cool gear and died by crossing a threshold and falling through the map into space😅😅
Funny I've not had many issues with bugs.
On this episode of Expensive Copium…
People hate on tarkov when this monstrosity exists. I’ve never experienced a more unpolished experience
What was trendy 2 years ago? Tarkov ya, let’s make that poorly and put it in our 12 year old $800 million crowd funded space game
Is star Citizen the next "Tarkov Killer"? 😏
Star Citizen 2 when?.
4.0 should be treated like A NEW GAME i.e. it might take ONE YEAR to iron out all the bugs. It's the problem with how Star Citizen is being made, why it's taking so long. There is no Core/Code Basis (even now) and they're adding game-breaking stuff every patch, so... enjoy the ride.
Its fun when it works. So just like Tarkov without cheaters. Lol
Decent for when it halfway works lol But Better than Division 1 Dark Zones? That's Major Copium
Starkov 🎉
It’d be nice if this dang game didn’t use 31 of my 32gb of RAM. Hopefully they’ll focus on optimizing the game to utilize the GPU soon. Cause it’s sad to see my 4080 sit idle at 30% usage when experiencing the most visually immersive game in the world. It’s micro stutter galore… and don’t get me started on docking 😒.

I recommend upgrading ram to 64 32 isn’t enough man
It’s what I’m doing. 32 just isn’t enough
These bugs will be around for years, trust me LOL
People will just find ways around them with game knowledge. Mess of a game this . . .
Looks like a mess like most of SC tbh. They keep adding stuff and can't even get close to a 1.0 release.
This is quite literally one of the best additions to the game
Server meshing literally added a ton to the game, in terms of performance and stability.
Dude, just don't participate in alphas. Problem solved.
The FPS gameplay used to be better than the current arcadey slop imo. feels like they're trying to crush skill ceilings like they did with flight.
Got tired of fighting bugs. Took 2 years off.
from what I heard the US server is really fucked while EU server is pretty good
AUS servers are the best.
Need a stronger pc. That can run it!!!!!!
absolute insult to tarkov.
While the mode may be great, none of the gear in star citizen is worth it.
Fantastic video o7
That would require the FPS mechanics to be even remotely functional by the admittedly poor mechanical standards of Tarkov. It is not even close. Star Citizen continues it's hot streak as the worst game you can play in any given category its new gameplay mechanic tries to lump it into.
Star Citizen... all about the potential, but shit execution.
You need to stop hanging with AvengerOne
Nobody cares Star Citizen except you
If you're new don't buy star citizen, it's a griefers paradise that's void of content and buggy as hell.
Still dont care.
It’s not a “mode” so that’s a bit misleading.
i dont play SC....yet. waiting for finished game proper........but why are they making all these side hustles when clearly 4.0 is not going well. add all this side shit once the game is stable and completed. ive played tarkov for years and the shit they add for $$$$ compared to just finishing a gorgeous product, just yk
Game is broken since 2012. No change there.

buy a ship .. lol and the con goes on.

I can tell that SC is really a shit hole of a game by looking at the YT content being made by big SC players. I got tired of documenting the same errors over and over myself ua-cam.com/video/AI_Z9Xoivro/v-deo.html
Scam Citizen looks like a janky mess.
then leave, they dont need to prove anything to obvious haters who understand nothing about game development.
@@Dztruktion 100% agreed.
@@Dztruktionwell put and at the end of the day we all just want star citizen to be good.
