Something I think a lot of people don't realize is that every "manufactured" or "factory-made" stuffed toy IS still to this day made by people. The difference is the volume made, and workers paid.
This is such an excellent point and I wish I said that in my original video as I am grateful to our factories!
@@RachelHoffmanDolls I just mean I enjoy creating dolls so much. I get so much fulfillment from creating something just for the person I'm giving it to! People sometimes don't understand we all have that creative ability in us. I loved seeing the details and love in these dolls made by an artist who didn't have to stress or rush or make each piece uniform like in a factory. I loved that you said "make them each different! I love surprise dresses!" It was a lovely thing to say
I really enjoyed watching this Raggedy Ann unboxing video. I fondly remember making cloth dolls with my sisters and mom when I was a kid. I loved hearing about this doll artist and how she made the dolls, and spun the wool for their hair. I was drawn to their silky brown locks - now I know - it was Gabriel's wool! I've signed up for the December Virtual Doll Party, and am really looking forward to it. Thanks Rachel!

Rachael, first off, I am an unapologetic Teddy Bear, Doll, and other Collector of nostalgic Toys that I either have had since Childhood or I have bought at Thrift Shops:)!!!! I so LOVE these Dolls made by Alessandra Collar Lipman:)!! I have never heard of Volland Dolls, but as a person who also has a love for antiques, I actually LOVE both Alessandra Collar Lipman's interpretation of Valland Dolls as much as the Valland Dolls:)!!! As for their names for Alessandra Collar Lipman's Doll's names:
1. My favorite is the Doll dressed in the Mushroom Dress and I would name her Annie Gardenia:)!!
2 However, I would name the Doll with the cute silver button sewn on I would name her Annie Shoe Button:)!!
3 And the 6th Doll I would name her Annie Azul because she is wearing a lovely blueish floral dress:)!!

We hope you are doing great, we sent you a little something in the mail this last week.
I actually made custom 12' Raggedy Ann and Andy Paper dolls with my own patterns this year to help cope with everything going on. I really enjoy doing them and have done a few other paper dolls which I downloaded templates from a woman who made them. Her video is on here and made quite a few of them. I love the stories and feel good whenever I build them. I even made different costumes for them out of scrap and other stuff. There is nothing wrong with making custom dolls especially if they only are made of paper.

I can't even pay that much for a doll
I can, these are a good deal in my opinion, but that’s my personal opinion. I’ve spent thousands on Raggedy dolls and never regretted it. 😍 it’s totally a personal thing how much anyone spends on their dolls. You don’t have to buy anything if you don’t want to.
Let’s name one Jenna McKenna frangellica bodega Marie . It is a long name - but it has a nice ring to it!

eBay, auctions, and private collectors whom have sold to me over the years. You can usually find them at doll shows when they start again as well.

Hi, Do you mean the comment about my completely authentic dolls not being authentic? If you are going to say that to someone, it’s a huge deal, and you need to make sure that what you’re saying is for sure true, otherwise it can cause you a LOT of problems.
