Hey Jocelyn! Cool digs! I'm glad your out n about! It must be real fun digging with Beau! He's hilarious! I was so excited to see you !! Have a diggin good week! 😁😁😘
Cool finds in the field. Nice video from the event. It was lovely to meet you. I am the old fella in the red shirt at the opening sequence, and the voice who seeded the 1897 Victorian Halfpenny. :>) It was great seeing the kids find stuff and helping them.
@@RelicRecoverist Tim from Radio World told me to hold a few coins back for the kids to find. It was nice she got the old British coin, I was saving it for someone special. You were lovely with her. you were right about it being 1892. Victoria (Alexandrina Victoria; 24 May 1819 - 22 January 1901) was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death.
Nice seeing you both digging and socializing. I recall you saying that you are not producing as many videos so you can still enjoy the digging! It seems like you met that balance here, especially with the people and the children (which you are WONDERFUL with). Keep giggling!
Congrats on the 1833 and yes I would have hesitated smelling a clump of dirt lol. Enjoyed the end seeing the kids find some great items. Thanks for sharing and take care.
can’t wait to get a detector! TFS , the beach looks so fun . i live in an island so plenty of beaches to explore. off subject stay away from soy , better off with the nut milks ( unless u have allergies) w/o carrageenan. ❤️ Love the orange/coral nail polish btw,
Wow, another awesome video in the bag! You and Chigg Wizard both looked so happy out in the paddocks. I love the ink you've picked up, it looks like a nice design, but didn't get much of a chance to check it out... In the last bit here, you went down onto the beach (???) and it looked SO crowded! How on earth do they organize that many people in such a small area? Keep up the great job on your videos, I'm already looking forward to your next one!
The larger buttons are usually coat buttons and the small ones are coat cuff buttons. Also the small or ones with the tiny bar across them are under garment buttons like underwear.
If you ever find yourself in eastern Washington I have 20 acres on a mountain you can metal detect if you take me with ya! I live outside of an Indian reservation and there are protected cave paintings down the hill! This place was a popular hunting ground by native Americans and fur traders due to the over abundance of giant turkeys, moose, deer, giant weasel family animals, and more! I know there's treasure out here just waiting to be found! I've had a metal detector for a long time but I've never taken it out beyond my dirt driveway. Your videos are great and I'm learning so much! When my kiddo gets older he better be ready to treasure hunt with mommy. Have a great trip
I know musket balls are kinda boring to find, however, I live on a modern property in Oklahoma that is on the original townsite that moved a mile west due to the railroad not wanting to go over 2 creeks. The railroad was everything in those days and if your town missed out, it probably died. In our chicken pasture, probably 1/2 an acre, I have found 2 mini-balls and 2 smaller round balls, some civil war era J-hooks and a 3 ringer and recently 2 4-ringers which I have since learned are .577 Weatherby's which are just post civil war but used by the Canadians (not here in Oklahoma!) and later in the Indian Wars (definitely here in Oklahoma). Whether they were actually used in a war or passed down for hunting etc will never be known. My point is that round balls and the like can be boring when you expect to find them, but when you find one, then another....etc, in your own backyard they tend to take on a completely higher "value" as far as finds are concerned. I enjoy your videos. Definitely subbing! Your boyfriend is a lucky guy. It's not everyday you find someone who likes to dig in the dirt and truly appreciates the history behind even "worthless" artifacts. I'm jealous that you went to detectival btw ;)
You can meet people from all over the world at events like this. But, I don't dig at them either. Too many machines, detecting too many machines. My ears can't take it. I live vicariously.....But Jocelyn, you looked like you had fun! (LOL at eh Wizard comment...still) Nice to see Li out there...right on, right on...lol
You do meet the nicest folks doing this hobby. What loads of fun hunting with the Chigg Wizard, and finding some nice relics too. What lovely memories in the making. Thanks for all the fun. Have a great day!
One thing besides blue glass beds that Native Americans wanted according to Lewis and Clark was scissors! Rolled copper could be made into tinkering cones for jewelry as well.
Great Video although I am so jealous I would give my right leg to have a group to hunt with where I live it's really hard to find other people who like to metal dectect
Native Americans would take tobacco lids would roll the metal into cone shape and sew them on jingle dresses. My niece is a jingle dress dancer. Being a jingle dress dancer in a big honor for a girl/woman. You must learn the dances, and earn the right to wear it.
I'd really love to try metal detecting but with severe Teninus i can't even stand the beeping just watching these videos. Do they make detectors for people with disabilities? I have a little girl screaming in my head 24/7 that bring with it bad migraines daily.
Please read this message all of the way through: JESUS CHRIST loves you and HE wants you to become a Born-Again CHRISTIAN for it happens to be the only way to Heaven (John chapter.3:3). Now in order to become a Born-Again CHRISTIAN what you must first do is: pray to JESUS CHRIST, (apologizing for being a sinner), second: ask CHRIST for forgiveness, and then, third: follow HIS teachings of both The New Testament as well as The Ten Commandments.
I wasn't kidding....you are a prize and I am glad to have met you !!!

Tighten up the cord around detector, hanging loose can give false signals. Looked a little loosely wound to me. Great video!

You glossed over the 17th Century sling buckle....
a buddy of mine has a lot of copper awl's and beads from an indian site.
Do you like this type of treasure hunting better than vintage shopping.?
I noticed for safety reasons, no one is wearing gloves for your safety.

Don't think I've ever heard of a Native American contact site?
I'd really love to try metal detecting but with severe Teninus i can't even stand the beeping just watching these videos. Do they make detectors for people with disabilities? I have a little girl screaming in my head 24/7 that bring with it bad migraines daily.
