    Dood you are a O scale hero. I have a fresh untouched vial of No Ox I bought with the intent on using it for my N scale stuff but decided not too. I really have wanted to do FasTrack outdoors and you are the reason I'm gonna do it to it. Thanks.

    Just discovered your channel tonight and wow, I loved it so of course I subscribed. I've ran my Lionel trains outside on a temporary basis, looped out of the garage and into the front yard and back. All along had been considering making a more permanent garden layout but was concerned about rust and corrosion. While I have a lot of Fastrak I use indoors as a carpet runner I was considering using Gargraves stainless steel outside or perhaps Atlas since it's nickel silver. Besides the rust maintenance the main reason is both offer nice looking bridge and trestle track and I do have a lot of bridges and a special one I want to build. However it now seems I'm going to have to sell this house and move, probably to western NC where I'll build a new house on the same property with our son. That way I can start a new layout, have lots of help, and enjoy teaching the grandkids about the important things in life, like trains. Anyway, the snow plowing was great, looking forward to seeing all your videos and of course, the ones yet to be made.
    -Mike in NC,

    I’m gonna do HO outside. Why the hell not. I did G for a while but it was so expensive and labor intensive.

    Have you ever run anything without a wireless remote? How well would a post war engine run on this? Im really curious

    • @SouthernTrainproductions
      @SouthernTrainproductions  12 днів тому +1

      @@greenjacketman560 honestly I’ve never ran any conventional engines on my layout. I have ran newer engines conventionally on this and it worked just fine, but I’ve also ran Bluetooth. Legacy TCC.

      @SouthernTrainproductions as far as I'm aware most modern engines have a keep alive capacitor in them that work even over tmcc and conventional power. I could be wrong though.

      @SouthernTrainproductions I'm really want to do an outdoor layout without breaking the bank on gar graves track. However most of my engines are conventional besides my menards santa fe f unit. I have a post war lionel 2026 a 70s lionel sw1200 and am really hoping your track solution will work for them up here in michigan.

      @ it should work just fine. Honestly we get a ton of rain in my location. We’re pretty much subtropical and it works just fine.

    Do you have any issues with the plastic on the Fastrack cracking?

      Not often really once it builds the varnish almost layer It’s pretty sticky. I do it about twice a year.
