How do you record the acoustic guitar with one mic? Like sm57 or U87

Place the microphone on 12th fret approximately one foot or more away

@@ed1495 gain is always depends on loudness of source. Set gain properly to avoid digital clipping

whenever i post a vocal on the forums and ask what mic they all think i recorded the vocal with they all say U87 when it was in fact recorded with a sure SM57. never fails
