❓❓❓ The British Library is one of the largest libraries in the world, containing around 200 million books. But which of the following can be found on its shelves?
a) the earliest known printing of the Bible
b) the first edition of The Times’ newspaper from 1788

Vocabulary:
✔️shhh! - exclamation used to ask for silence or quiet
✔️paperback - book with a cover made of thick paper and sold relatively cheaply, compared to a hardback book
✔️painstakingly (or painfully) - in a way that shows you have taken a lot of care, or made a lot of effort
✔️harmony - situation where people are peaceful and cooperate with each other
✔️knowledge equals power - (idiom) the more a person knows, the more they will be able to control events
✔️soft power - using political or cultural means rather than military power to influence events

I didn't know the great library of Alexandria until listening to this podcast called 6 Minute English. Listening to this podcast is a little hard for me because I have been studying English. Amazing, it is soft power. This place fostering the harmony by exchange ideas on philophosies and on other points. Gaining the knowledge and people peacefully corporate with each others. It is also consider a place to keep warm ourselves in the freaking winter.

So far, I didn't the existence of the British library and its having the first edition of the times .
It was very interesting! And "knowledge is power" is very important for me to study from now on.

Did tou know that the Biblioteca Gabriel García Márquez located in Sant Martí de Provençals, Barcelona, and inaugurated on 28 May 2022, was declared in August 2023 the "best new public library in the world" by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions. No other Spanish library has ever been nominated for the award. It is believed they had won in part because the new library welcomes people with an atmosphere like their home. 😉😍🤩

When I was a child I was so sad to know that the legendary Alexandria and its library were destroyed. If it still existed it would be one of the World's Wonders and definitely in the top list of scientific, touristic and trade centres.
