I find it kinda funny. Since this game came after Persona 4 Arena, they don't know each other in P4A, even though this game takes place before Persona 4 Arena (since it happens the the middle of both Persona 4 and Persona 3).
Except... no it didn't. Release date of Persona Q was June 5th, 2014. Persona 4 Arena was released in 2012.
This is explained in the ending. The answer is...

Well the game is canon, they just used the memory wipe as a way of covering it up...
@@skulllatte3352 plus reason for the memory wipe is because the area they were trapped in doesn't have a normal flow of time and was in a realm beyond human consciousness. But it's for the best as they were from different times and that the P4 team were 2 years later from the P3 team time. It's the best not to spoil the future.
This is before everything starts going to shit for both teams (I.E. P3 is right before Full Moon Shadow #12 and P4 is right after saving Naoto)

At least she can actually see what her opponents' weaknesses are, unlike Rise.

In P3. This game follows the P4/5 model of "you won't learn the opponent's weaknesses until you try it out yourself, meaning you'll pretty much never figure out whether or not they're weak to Curse/Bless attacks unless you're willing to waste a quarter of your SP on an attack that most likely won't even hit" (remember, before P5, the Hama and Mudo lines were the only Bless and Curse abilities)
I only played P5 and both PQ games but from the 3 Navigators Fuka is defiantly my favorite. She is awsome in the PQ games. Futaba steps up here game too in PQ2. I did not liked here (gameplay wise ) all that much in P5. I did not used Risey all that much as here abilltys did not seemed ti fit my playstayle. In any case in the PQ games the navigators are awsome and Fuka is my favorite.
In P5 you can get all the informations about elemental affinitys by simply obtaining a Persona. Carolin and Justine are actully the ones that allow you to figure out weakspots befor hand by allowing you to fuse Personas you dont have encountered yet. And if you dont have the Persona yet and figure out one weakness you can use negotiation to obtain the Persona and figure out the rest. I love how this Information gathering gives an extra incentive to collect as many Personas as posebile. In the PQ games wasting SP is not that bad since you not under a time limit.
