thanks for the two piece clip trick, it messed with me. My problem is the pump doesnt fit through the tank hole. Too tight. 2015 F250 Sd gas. I'm stuck. no squeeze tabs, and the vertical rods are ready to come out of the pump from trying to get it out of the hole.
OKC VET I just found your channel and this video, I think my fuel pump is out. I'm not getting pressure on the fuel rail. I have called myself checking the relays and fuses and all seem to be good as far as I can tell. Is there a way to run a wire from the battery, back to the fuel pump to jump and see if it will work? If not I will know for sure it is bad? And if this is possible do you have a video showing how to do that? Thank you so very much for your well explained video here. I am subscribing!! Phillip Hall
Late but I used large 4x4s and 4x6s Jack stands are too wobbly for me. I used 2x6s also as spacers as I slowly raised the tank into place. Hopefully this helps someone in the future.
It's much easier to have it up in the air. If your tank has a lot of gas, it's going to be heavy and hard to hold without a jack underneath. The fuel will tilt the tank side to side very easily, making it hard to control. A transmission jack with the arms spread out balances the tank easier than a normal jack. If the tank is completely empty, handling will be easier, and a jack may not be needed.
I wish you would have showed how the gas filler tube comes off the tank. My wife filled her gas tank up the day before the gas pump died and i want to drain the gas out of the tank before i drop it.
My husband drove over some piece of someone’s trailer in the road and literally ripped a huge hole in the fuel tank and the oil pan also, we need to replace whole thing I’m sure
How did you know it was fuel pump, I got a 2007 ,I think it's the same. My suv is hesitating ,chucking a little when I accelerate. Do you think it's the fuel pump? Any advice is appreciated thks.
I can come up with reasons all day long why you don't need to do something. If we all did that, we would still be in the caveman era. People say things that convince others why it should or shouldn't be done like that, but at the end of the day, I'll have it done while the other guy tries to find a reason not to do it.
I’m sure you’re the type of fella that says not to smoke a cig when you fill up with gas at the pump. 1000/1000 times if you have a lit cigarette, and drop it in gasoline it will just extinguish the cherry. No possible way for it to cause the fuel to ignite. But you’ve got your typical crazies that will cause a hellova scene, if you do pull up to fill up with a lit cigarette. Yes, metal on metal CAN cause a spark, but most durable flathead screwdrivers/pry bars have a molded plastic type handle. Some have a striker spot of metal on the butt of the handle specifically for hammering, but it still ain’t gonna spark. Unless you’re using mjölnir and you’re Thor. Even if it did throw sparks, it’s not enough to ignite said fuel in tank. You’ll be fine. I’m pretty sure you’re not even swapping out a fuel pump, you’re simply on a UA-cam binge watching random videos, and you feel the need to comment some sort of negativity about what the involved parties are doing wrong. This 5-6 minute video has probably saved customers hundreds of thousands of dollars collectively on repair costs, and at the same time allowing the avg joe the option of doing things himself. Thx. Good ez tips here. I miss the old cars with just metal hose clamps Dang plastic clips.
Where was the Fuel Pressure Sensor? Is it part of the fuel pump or separate? I have the 2006.
That fuel line connector your talking about what’s the name of it I need to replace mine I broke it trying to get it released thanks.
🤘🤘🤘🤘 thanks man! Saved my ass!

Electrical connectors aren't as easy to unclip as he makes it out to be

Im trying to figure out how to get a ford expedition 2003 tank back on can you do that for me

Metal with metal usually spark if hitting it hard
Can i just lower the tank without jacking up the truck?

Is this compatible for an 03 expedition?

What about a spark while hitting screw driver with hammer

okc vet next they’ll tell you not to smoke while doing this job...
