Everybody keeps saying that Ben doesn't have any boxing skills. Even if he has boxing skills, you wouldn't know it. He doesn't use them. He goes straight in, tosses a few awkward punches in order to get a hold of you. He's not trying to boxing MMA. Not even the slightest. You've never even seen him try to use his hands. And he's been training with his hands much longer than Jake Paul, I promise you. He just chooses not to use it. You don't know how good Ben Askren boxes. I don't know for sure, but you might be surprised. But one thing you're not going to be surprised by is his clinch. And his massive amounts of cardio that Jake Paul undoubtedly does not have. Askren is an Olympic level wrestler and a world champion MMA fighter. He has cardio not for days, but for years.

He’s never gone into round 3. So if he can’t knock askren out early expect the later rounds to start taking effect on Paul especially since he’s never gone passed round 2. Heck he looked tired after the Nate fight and that’s cuz he’s just not used to being able to box and keep stamina

From the look of Ben’s recent vids on his social media he has pretty terrible form and zero head moment. On top of that he’s very flat footed (likely because of his years of wrestling experience) which will make him take more damage, especially if he moves forward like that. The big problem in Chaels line of thinking is that there’s no referee in sparring and you will get away with a lot more grabbing holding behind the neck etc than you will in a pro boxing match.
Go watch Fury v Wilder II and tell me it's something you can't do ;) You just gotta be smart. Fury is a whole different thing to Askren but you can do it.
@@nigelmacquillan7211 I’ve watched that fight multiple times and fury just outboxes him on the front foot there wasn’t even that much rough housing fury beat him pretty cleanly. There was maybe one or 2 time he hit while his hand was behind the head but nothing like what askren was doing in the sparring footage. Fury just gave him fits with his faints and wouldn’t allow wilder into the front foot at any point.

After the Nate fight I think Jake proved that knowing how to box is more important than being a good athlete or competitor. Rooting for Ben but I hope he takes the fight seriously
I think Fight stamina is different. I’m not comparing or anything, but for instance I can play a full 90min game in soccer. BUT in jiu jitsu, 3, 5 minute rounds will absolutely kill me.
