The Legion Go 2 looks like the perfect handheld. Large OLED VRR screen, big battery, Z2 Extreme, etc. but the detachable controllers are annoying. I wish the Legion Go S had an OLED screen, a 80wh battery, and Z2 Extreme because I prefer the design of the Go S.
Noticed some flickering around the 9:40 mark at the bottom. I know OLED/VRR displays have flickering issues. Really hope they iron that out before the official release.
Due to camera shutter speeds and frame rates sometimes devices appear to flicker but it’s not something visible to the naked eye. Not sure if that is the case here.
I am glad that you mentioned the OXP G1 took cues from the GPD MINI....so, if you were really @CES, how come there is no report on GPD, and its products? IT was suppossed to there too!
What do you mean if I was really there, the footage in this video is all stuff I filmed. And yes I stopped by GPDs booth, but I didn't report on it because they aren't releasing any totally new devices, just refreshes of the existing product line.
I'd be surprised af if the LeGo 2 came in under 1k USD. The Claw 8, which I've preordered, is 900 bucks and doesn't come with an 8.8 inch OLED screen. I guess technically it could be priced at $999, but after taxes that's nearly 1100 bucks without any accessories. If the software is good though, the LeGo might be the holy grail of handhelds in 2025.
I'm excited about the Legion Go 2 but yeah I totally agree about the dumb FPS mode buttons on the right joycon. Really wish they'd get rid of that. Just seems like terrible design choice considering most people won't use it, and then those buttons are just going to be right in the middle of your palm during normal use.
8:37 I feel attacked. I a9, in fact, one of the 9 people who uses this feature! I use it to play Guild Wars 2 in bed. I have mapped the skills 1-9 to various buttons on the controllers and aim with the mouse mode! I find it fairly intuitive and enjoy that it has this neat little feature. I 1000% will buy a legion go 2 if it has at least the same feature set as the current gen + extra performance + oled screen.
Nah you're right FPS mode is a gimmick that even if people use, is not going to be the way the device is used the majority of the time. Putting things like side buttons that ruin the handheld experience which should be the primary focus just so FPS mode is better is not worth it. Also the MSI claw colorway is just so bad, I would never buy it based on that alone lol. Solid black, which I tend to hate, would be preferable over this rubbermaid color I'm excited for the Legion Go handhelds but won't be picking up anything this year as my current Legion Go is still great. The improved battery is tempting but $1000 USD makes this like $1600 CAD after conversion and taxes and shipping so I can't justify it. Heck I can't even justify it at 800 USD. Still shaping up to be a very good year for handheld PCs though.
Bruh. I hope the only reason they are putting these absurd resolutions in these handhelds is because they are the only ones that come with VRR high refresh. Anything above 1080 on these handhelds is silly, all it does is tank framerates and drain more battery
The Legion Go 2 is easily the best handheld, unless steam comes out with another steam deck at a insane price to performance, I'm also exited to see what TenCent does with their 10'' handheld with the newly improved 3d screen that i think would revolutionize gaming handhelds. The removable controller are an amazing feature specially with the fps mode. I expect it to cost around $1,000 dollars when it comes out. I just hope that trump doesn't ruin the gaming world with his stupid tariffs that would be estimated to raise prices of electronics by 60%
anyone try how is Nintendo emulator works really well in this console? in the past i always buy nintendo console so i wanna try how steam/window os is worth it.

@@vizknight1862 The Z2 go chip that is in the Legion Go S is slower than the Z1 Extreme. The Z2 Extreme, is the faster chip that is only in the Legion Go 2.
I mean no doubt these are getting more expensive, but still cheaper than many laptops of similar specs. I just think there's a bit of a mental block as people are used to the original ally and legion go being about 700USD.
Too heavy for handheld. Wt hell Lenovo is thinking ??? Still not even 80wh battery comparing to ROG ally x. I would rather wait for Asus ROG ally new model.

What is igpu in legion go 2...?
Ummm it’s RDNA 3.5 with 16 GPU cores. Possibly 890M like the HX370? Not sure exact naming for the Z2Extreme iGPU

Most PC handhelds with recent chips run switch emulation pretty well.
